Thank you for the content you’re putting out! I’m starting a minute concepts video series later today or tomorrow depending on upload time and a lot of it is due to the content you cover. Coming from a military background a lot of times I get in a western logistics heavy training mentality, when in reality that is not practical for a minute man.
You’ll see this rig in future videos. I like it, but I would pick up an extra. I think these will last awhile, but I’d have one you train in and one you have for a rainy day. At the price it’s pretty doable. I’ll be curious to see how it holds up long term.
The reason why people shit on this rig is because it’s sold by Condor, which is known for selling a lot of Chinesium gear. To be fair to those who unfairly write off the 7 pockets rig, a lot of Condor’s rigs are shitty. I totally get why people would assume the 7 pockets is probably garbage. But I guarantee if they gave it a chance they’d be surprised. Plus it’s like $30 so you can get a shit ton of them.
Thanks! It’s really pretty decent all in all. Can’t complain much for the price. The modern minuteman has a good review I recommend taking a look at. I like the canteens. I prefer the US canteens, but these are a good size and worth picking up.
Might be 'modeled' on UK chest webbing bu!. On the issue unit we could hold a UK water bottle (which is bigger than the US) also no opening behind the none ammo pouches. points to note it get in the way when in the prone position , so in my era we never fastened the belt strap .
I am also an officer, and actual use and equipment show that chest rigs that carry Rifle magazines and other types of ammunition have lower costs and are significantly more effective. MOLLE system models may be more effective in some conditions, but will be limited in many ways that enthusiasts simply don't want. You can see how popular the Chicom chest rig is, as well as defense logistics companies designing chest rigs with larger magazine pouches and some more versatile pouches, all based on the design. Chicom chest rig overview.
You can turn this into a belt system by extending the straps and then put it on like a normal belt with the buckle at the front then put another chest rig on as normal and top it with a 45 litre n I pack and you have comfortable patrol set up
Lol prove what? My Chicom chest rig has been all over America and worked in all environments. And it carries under a pack better than anything else I've used. I can point you to 4 or 5 SF guys who publicly love the Chicom chest rig. Been using it in combat all over the world. That's what I got. If you need more let me know what I can talk about.
@@redbarronreviews2429 I'm playing around with keeping the ifak in my cargo pocket or on a fanny pack so I can keep the gp pouch open but not sure. I may have another chest rig coming soon. If I do it will become a primary and this will be come a back up/ loaner. Great rig for the money though. Glad to see someone other than an air softer that has eating in 3 months do a video on it😆
This is awesome to have like 15 of them so you can hand them out. Also for me prior to deployment or something I might have one of these as a backup and braze my shit gets really jacked up
@@redbarronreviews2429 It fits just like AK mags fit. Put the flap over the top and buckle. The Velcro won't contact but you don't need Velcro making noise on your water pocket when you're opening it up.
It’s not really that bad, at least I don’t notice it. Keep in mind I’ve got this loaded out pretty heavy. If you’re in the field for a long time you’re going to have a fair amount on you. You could light load the GP pouches and move the water/IFAK elsewhere. Even my army TAPS kit has bulk on the sides but I find this rig is more comfortable. Anytime you carry sustainment on you you’re going to run into issues with gear on your sides. You can run a belt set up for water, but then you get into issues running some packs or issues with in/out of vehicles. There’s definitely pros and cons to everything and user preference is the key. the nice thing is this rig is cheap enough that if you don’t like it you’re not out much.
I don’t recommend getting one from Amazon. Both of the ones I ordered were stolen by USPS employees in Kansas City hub. Save yourself the time and money by ordering from a more reputable company than Amazon
Take it off if you aren’t going to cut it I guess. This looks big but it’s not much bigger (if at all) than a plate carrier with ceramic plates and a set of single mags on the front.
A 2 liter will fit. That being said I didn’t have any water in it. I think even with water it would still fit but I can’t imagine that it’d be comfortable with water and it would be inconvenient to fill.
I was thinking a 1 liter bladder would spread the weight better than a canteen, and put more needed gear in the pouch. Thanks for all the work you put in for us
I have one and I do like it as a stand alone rig without armor underneath. The only draw back is it’s easy to get it unbalanced due to the design. It’s a little better quality than some of their other rigs as well.
Good job on your review! Good to see another guy reviewing it! Thanks for the shout out!

I like it. 500 ml Hyrdapak fits with room to spare, and works with Sawyer mini. UV5R with extended battery fits perfect in the strap pocket.
I've been looking into this, gonna order it Friday, along with the mags needed to bring it up to a minimum.
It's all I will have for a while
I got one in M81 woodland at the thrift store for like $7. Nice review.
I just picked one up myself. Glad to see some non airsoft content on this rig.

Thanks for showing AK mag compatibility.
You’re welcome. It’s a pretty decent rig all around.
You are the first American who has a tourniquet folded correctly.
I try to have mine staged. If you need one every second counts! I’ve had enough range injuries to keep these close lol.
Lmao
I appreciate this review. I've been considering this rig.
I like the Soviet canteen. Looks like a green tick.

I like the canteens. I prefer the US canteens, but these are a good size and worth picking up.
I have a marpat one I bought for airsoft about 11yrs ago. It's a little worn from a few airsoft seasons, but I still have it.

I have an older one with 6 pockets that holds 8 mags and it works great and cheap.

The chicomm rigs are my jam.
I’ve been looking at the hub city outdoors version but the gigga Chad rig they have is tempting.
Chicom is excellent.

@@woodsghost9088 I was just hoping you’d post a pic of you naked from the waist down wearing it. Total missed opportunity brah!
I put a TQ in the shoulder pouch and put a zip tie around the flap to retain the whip antenna on my radio.
That’s a good use. I’m going to stitch in a TQ pouch to the GP pouch I keep an ifak in.

I’ve got more of primary rig I’ll do a video on this week. It’s still in an experimental phase with what pouches I want, but it’s another condor.
I prefer the slimmer mcr6 from condor ive had one for a while and its pretty nice for a budget chest rig.
I’m probably going to buy one of those.
I’m more interested in this water flask broh. Can we get notes on that. A short or a clip of you drinking milk out of it on OF?
This is awesome to have like 15 of them so you can hand them out. Also for me prior to deployment or something I might have one of these as a backup and braze my shit gets really jacked up
I don't understand why everyone of these reviews talks about cutting it for a gi canteen. It fits just fine.
Mine does not.

I own it myself and fully agree
Excuse me, but would you believe a 75 round Ak drum magazine would fit in those canteen pouches?
It would be nice if the FLC had a pistol holster built in it.
Anyone know if it would hold an HK G3 mag?
Seems bulky and interferes with arm movement?

i saw these things used in syria. they work well.
Could you put a water bladder, in the map compartment? And save that porch

Would you consider doing the ronin rig from condor?

Looks like an NI chest rig copy.
It’s a copy of it more or less.
Most of the people who poo poo Condor wouldn't last in a fight as long as that Condor rig. I have no issues with Condor.
