Yours is my favorite channel on this subject, Dr. Your technique seems approachable by less experienced modelers. I find myself thinking "I could do that...". If I could only avoid overspray disasters...
Its always a great dat when doctor mig posts a new build video...this one was no exception! I love this one ...when you sand away the glue of the canopy, do you apply a little black paint so you know when it’s completely removed from the surface? It looks a bit black around the edge of the canopy ... great work as always!
Yet another stunning build, on a 1/72 Bilek kit no less! Always amazed at your ability to do freehand camouflages, especially in this scale! Are you still using lacquer thinner to reduce your paints? Thanks for sharing your work (art), as always !
Very nice build of this kit, i just noticed that you painted over the last two ring segments of the burner can in paint, these should be metal from references. Might want to give them a blast of AK Xtreme metals. KUTGW.
Hi Doc, tnat was another outstanding build and pai t job, and ad always the work of a true master , hope you are keeping safe and well, bext regards from Australia
Really nice looking aircraft, interesting build., thanks. You recently very kindly identified a Mig 21 for me from a photograph of the one parked outside the Vietnamese Parliament building. Unfortunately I can't get to your Facebook page to note the variant you identified. Could you possibly tell me what that was and also the other Mig with it? Just to push my luck could you recommend a particular 1/72 model of each? Thanks.
Another fantastic build by the maestro. Love the camo tones on the Su-17. Few questions: 1. Do the wings swivel in the model or are they fixed? 2. The glue you are using has a slight black-ish tint. Is that the way the glue is or did you add some black color to it? 3. I see that you primed the PE parts in the cockpit as well and then painted them. Is that how it is to be done? I've used PE only once in a MiG-21 kit but I did not paint them. I just used them as is.
Thank you.The wings can move but I decided to glue them in a fixed position.I just dont like anything to be movable.on the kits I build. It reduces the chance of paint damage etc. The glue is black on purpose.I guess so can see where it spills or something. You have to prime the pe parts. The paint will.adhere much better like that. This pe parts are not pre painted like the ones they sell nowdays.
sad to see modelers not progressing in their work... no matter if it's commission built or for your self... you will never see serious modelers using super glue to glue their canopies, then sanding everything down to hell, then fixing it back again by polishing.. it's just ridiculous and wrong. not something you would suggest to others (by showing it in video). No serious modeler uses 200+- grit sand paper to sand the seams on their models!! That's butchering! Then again, fixing what you've destroyed.. That's just taking shortcuts! Don't get me wrong, your model at the end, somehow, looks nice but the process is just... ohhh.. anyways... hope some day you move one step up! ;)
The Doctor is in...........................another great video
Thanks Benny

Смотрю Доктора и собираю такую же "птичку", но от "kovozavody prostejov". Литники по сути те же. Привет из Комсомольска-на-Амуре!
I wanted to buy the kp kit but I decided to build this one and buy thrme mdoelsvit kit when it becomes available
Great job! True, there are mistakes in camouflage painting on some elements, but overall it is excellent!
Thank you :)

Thanks Brian.I do use the lacquer thinner to thin the paint.I find it the best kption and a must have for freehand airbrushing
Awesome
Glad you like it ;) thanks
Very nice build of this kit, i just noticed that you painted over the last two ring segments of the burner can in paint, these should be metal from references. Might want to give them a blast of AK Xtreme metals. KUTGW.
Thanks.According to the reference photos those were like that on the real thing.I found that odd as well and tripple checked it myself
@@doctormig2709 Have a look at this AC from the Ukrainian AF. www.airliners.net/photo/Ukraine-Air-Force/Sukhoi-Su-17UM3/2422462
I have seen it. Here is an example of what I am talking about www.greenmats.club/gallery/image/13876-su-17-ukraine_0000055106_largejpg/
Beautiful work!
How do you think, can we see Harrier this summer? ;)
Thanks.I might do that.I have around 10 harrier kits so I could build one for the channel

Una maravilla, cómo siempre. Y yo pensaba que está maqueta Bilek era la misma que Mistercraft, nada que ver.
Top job...as usual. Please keep with soviet planes on
Thanks.I will try for sure.Next one will be western ;)

Thank you ;) the wash is made out of water based ink water and liquid soap.

Thanks.I think it was a mig21PFM.Eduard makes the best mig21 kits in 72 scale.
@@doctormig2709 Many thanks for that. Can you tell me what was the other, older Mig?
I tbink it was a mig17 or mig19 ;)

1. swivel
2. Mr. cement SP B, where the B means black by default
3. It's an old kit, with an old unpainted PE

As always, nice build. Q: why do you use 220 grid sandpaper, insead of scraping the seamlines.?
Thank you.Because for me it is much faster to sand evertything down than to scrape or something like that.
Love to watch how you punish these models with sanding paper and then finish them as beautiful, smooth miniatures :)
Thank you :) I apriciate the support
Nice work, where you buy ukranian decals? Thanks
Thanks.A friend gave it to me.I have no idea where he got yhr decals
