The problem with the manosphere is that there is too much emphasis on abstract theories instead of teaching guys how to have a common sense approach and develop street smarts. Many guys in our society want to live in an abstract perfect world in their heads instead of accepting observable reality for what it is.

Guys who want "Dimes" are lazy if they don't put in the effort to craft his complete look, and get himself into gym/modeling/entertainment environments where they are.

Both are extremely bitter. I will go on to say even dangerous. These people can cost you your livelihoods, ruin your reputation, try to disfigure you yes entitlement and jealousy has caused many to kill.

A part of the problem could be as Rom mentioned in the dealing with extremely attractive women in "sexual chemistry" is that it is natural for men to be drawn to extremely attractive women and they will be drawn to them anyway (whether the can actually get them or not).

I think a lot of the mindset men have that you're criticizing here comes from optimization and fear/risk assessment.
In my opinion, I think men feel that there are incredible risks and investment needed in the dating game today, so they think "if I'm going to take all these risks, the woman better be perfect". If you're going to risk heartbreak, being cheated on, being used or abused, or dragged through the family court, you would want the best of the best to make all of that risk worth it. I think that's why men see women as either "dimes" or "land whales" as you mentioned. And when you mention guys who can't get 10s considering themselves to be "incels", I think that's the male version of "I can do bad all by myself". They want to optimize their outcomes before any interaction is being made, based on incomplete information (simply going by a woman's looks) and the concern of taking a loss.
Throw in social media making it seem like there are a lot more 10s than there actually are, and just pulling people away from reality in general, you have everything you're talking about. Living in Fantasyland is a lot better than living in reality for a lot of people. I honestly think to a lot of guys, fantasizing about being with a 10 is more enjoyable than building a life with a 6 in reality. In the former, there are no risks, heartbreak, being cheated on, used for your money, etc. The only negative is that it isn't real. The fantasy doesn't require work or fixing themselves like you said.
Onlyfans is the perfect example of how deep we are into Fantasyland. The money that used to be used on dates or even going towards a family household is being used to continue the fantasy of a OF girl actually giving a damn about you. Things men used to have in reality are now going towards furthering their engagement in a Fantasyland of false intimacy.
