I spend my evenings trawling YT for P&B reactors. It's a joy to watch their fans being born. I've seen them live. It was a great experience and the crowd adored them. Unique act.
They can ride the beat mainly because Bas (the tall one) is a professional musician/teacher by trade. He can also play a wide variety of instruments, including the piano, trumpet, sax, and even the accordion! He also stated that he played jazz piano aboard a cruise ship for several years. The beat and timing are EASY for him. "Novelty act??" Not quite. Don't cheat them because of their age. A lot of us old heads can do things that you would not believe.
Good grief! After watching this, a bunch of Pete and Bas videos popped up in my feed. "Stepped Into the Building" (a reaction channel featured it and it has 2.9M views); "Get Low"; "Longthorne Shotgun"; "Top of the World" - all with high views on that same channel. I'm definitely a member of the "who knew" crowd. This was a blast. Love the Brits, loved the reaction from you guys. I'd rather wait for your next reaction to Pete and Bas than go exploring elsewhere at the moment. I'm loyal like that :)
It all started with pete, when he was driving his grandson would change the radio, eventually he began to enjoy and learn the words. His grandson asked if he would rap for him, and after that Pete asked Bas to join him with persuasion. They do write they own about how things were in they days, but the grandson's do help them with the up to date slang. The grandson's are Nine and Dex they are also producers( 9 1 shots & Handsome Dexter).
It was Pete's granddaughter. She kept switching the radio and he would turn it , then he said " being a great grandad I let it play". Then he said he showed bas a couple of songs then they said they would have a go at it. Granddaughter didn't ask for him to rap for her. Story's a lil off but that's fine.
"Who knew?" Says it all. I really enjoyed this. I was washing dishes (at home, by hand) while I listened to this. My leg was moving the whole time. Both times. I'm definitely going to share this. The first recipient is my 26 year old daughter.
You guys are great. I can see you already have views that reflect that. Well deserved. Your energy, analysis, clear love of hip-hop, and editing makes for very fun viewing.
Holy shtt! I randomly came across them just now, loved them, then the next video featuring them was this one of you reacting to them! I’ve been a subscriber for a while now, so it was just cool to find something new that I was hyped up about and instantly get to watch my favorite reactors see it too! Then come to find out, I’m late?! Haha, damn, I need to pay better attention to y’all! 😆💗😊
These guys do this live, they are OG gangsters, one was an underground boxer. Their grandkids just help with lingo, they write their lyrics, and it's based on their lives. Both of them have lived the life they talk about.
They are not a novelty act. They write their own lyrics, with some input from their grandkids. There's not one bad song - they have an album. Check out their song T-Pain and T-Pain answered back recently with a short video. Talk of a song together. They collabed with another famous young driller. What will really blow your mind - they do shows with 1+ hour shows. They pack in some pretty big venues. Crowd going wild and you cant hardly hear them singing because fans singing with them. They arent a fluke - I'm adding them to my music lists. They are an inspiration!
Loved your reactions. These dudes impress. They apparently ran with some gangs in 70s. Bas (tall guy) was a bare knuckle boxer and music teacher/musician. That's why he's got such great flow. A lot of great suggestions here. I like golf with Norman. Cockney rhyming slang meets drill, unique, not just a gimmick.
They are serious and are good and legit. They toured and are on a UK and europe tour this year. They have done collabs with young rappers - and more than hold their own.
Haha, Fenom's face in this video says so much, you can tell he's really unsure about Pete and Bas for so many reasons. 😂 As a hip hop fan I understand, but it's hard not to love P&B.
I thought I'd suggest a new band to give a listen, if interested. "Pearl Jam - Black - Acustico - Unplugged - HD" (by the channel: Andre Braga) --This song was written by Eddie Vedder (lead vocalist) and music was written by Stone Gossard (lead guitarist) it is from their debut album called "Ten." Eddie Vedder performed this song during "Pearl Jam's" MTV Unplugged concert in 1992. This album was the first in a run of multi-Platinum and Platinum albums and then played on Unplugged the following year, this band was one of the pioneers of "grunge-rock" to emerge from the Seattle's thriving music scene, they combined aggressive guitar riffs with introspective lyrics which defined their unique sound. However, the band "Green River" put out what many consider to be the first grunge record in 1985 the six-track EP was called "Come On Down." peace out~
They do write their lyrics, their grandkids iust help with modern day terminology but in other songs they use terminology only people their age would know. They also tour and always sell out shows. They are the real deal

Pete and Bas is a Deep Rabbit hole !
They got many bangers !
I love them not one bad song.
They got BARS !
What I love about these guys is, they started about 6 or 7 years ago and despite their age, they just keep improving. You’re never too old.
You're right about that!!!
As a youngster (only 59 years old) I love them.
These guys have a show next week and are touring Europe in October. In their 70's. They've got a huge following. You can watch full concerts online.

Y'all haven't heard anything yet lol. Check out: Sindhu Sesh, Plugged In with Fumez and Quick 1-2.. Just to start.
Sindhu Sesh is probably still my favorite, kinda resonates with me
