    Excellent video! So glad your covering CC3 . It’s a great program! Would love to see the positives and negatives of posing a character using CC3 compared to posing in blender. Also curious how to get gravity to work on the clothing and hair w/ the addon from this video. Thanks again for all the work you do.

    Thanks for the video. Worth noting that the procedure for importing animated CC3 characters into Blender through iClone 7 follows this same process. However, I have, on occasion, struggled with importing animation sequences from iClone 7 and adding them to existing CC3 characters within Blender. That is, after pulling a CC3 character into Blender, then modifying materials on the character, animating that character using iClone 7 animation sequences. Sometimes, I can bring in a new copy of the character from iClone and then transfer the animation sequence to the Blender character using NLA. But there are times I copy the NLA strip to the character and nothing happens. I have yet to figure out why. A tutorial on how to make this work would be very useful!

    There isn't much use to bring the CC3 model into Blender unless you really want to overmorph it. Mind you, you don't want to change the poly count or the model will not go back into CC3.
    So like you can make like an Ogre, or Orc which is a course they teach you how to over morph them in Z Brush, and or now Blender, which I already knew how to do, but it was harder before now.
    If you are sculpting something like a Dragon, or Spider/Scorpion You wont be able to put them into CC3 but you can rig them to put them into iClone, or rig them in iClone or straight into Unreal 4 or 5.

    Nice, great information! How much freedom do you have to modify the model and texture of a character, once imported to Blender, and not lose the rig or custom controls in the n menu? For example if you wanted to change the import to a fantasy or alien character, or add or modify the clothes?

    • @TheCGEssentials
      @TheCGEssentials  2 года назад +1

      This is something I'm wanting to learn more about - I know you can import with physics and then some of the clothes work, but I'm not 100% sure just how advanced this can be yet

      @@TheCGEssentials I've been looking at CC3 for a while, but have not wanted to pony up the money until I understand that better. I'm still a relative Blender beginner, so I'm not convinced I could answer these questions for myself within the free trial period.
      Was your tutorial done with bare-bones CC3, or were there other paid add-ons for hair/beard/clothes etc? I find their pricing model confusing because it's unclear how much can be accomplished with the bare CC3 app and how many expensive paid add-ons are needed.

    How to export this model to mixamo with texture ? Via blender...? My character has been imported now but when i export this character from blender there is no texture in the uploaded model? What to do?

  • @gouravkd8545

    I was wondering if there is any way to simply bake all the textures to get optimized results. Is there any way other than manual texture baking?

    Do you think downloaded characters can be imported and used in Blender with this? I have a linux machine and I can't install character creator, but I really like some of their models and would like to try them.

  • @frankfenriz

    it seems like an fantastic tool, - but its a rather high price. Some of the same feautures are also in the free tool daz studio, in a lower qualitie, but with the same easy workflow. This platform can also export to blender, and Mixamo and there by make animations, - like This platform

    As I import the .fbx file on Blender, the model is just the default one. Not one change that I have made on Character Creator has been imported. It's just the blank default person that you get when you start the Software.
    First I tried importing without the Blender addon but it doesn't change anything.
    I even exported the model in .obj format but the problem remains.
    What could it be?

    🤔I wonder if we can make adjustments to the character in blender and then import them back into character creator with the adjustments? Example coloring the hair

    • @TheCGEssentials
      @TheCGEssentials  2 года назад +1

      Hmmm...I'm gonna have to look into this - I think you can - I watched a video where a artist exported the initial mesh into Blender and sculpted it, but I clicked off before I could see if it got re-imported or not. I better go back and look ;p
