My favorite movie is Ratatouille, because I love rats and I love they how speak their voices, it reminds me of my childhood. Or Finding Dory, I feel like it’s because dory finds her family and I just loved Dory and her voice Ellen Degeneres, because she’s my favorite comedian and actress. I would also pick The little Mermaid as well, because Ariel is in love with Eric, it brings happy endings, and Ursula has the best voice ever, I love how she danced.

coincidentally I just watched the deer hunter before reading this comment. Needless to say it is a brilliant movie with DeNiro's best performance arguably

@@matthewraphael Alright, let’s do something a bit more interesting. What is your top 10 movies with the best soundtrack. I think this is a little harder question.
I don’t like to have the same answers as everyone else, or just have the same favourites as 1000s of people. So some of my favs are Love Actually, Cruel Intentions, Coyote Ugly, the Underworld movies etc
I'm a movie buff and "12 Monkeys" by Terry Gilliam is my favourite movie of all time. It has everything, suspense, surrealism, great plot, amazing plot twist, cool characters and cool easter eggs. It's like the perfect film in the sci-fi genre.
Hehehe I actually thought you were talking about the movie '12 angry men' - 1957. It's a good one! I haven't seen 12 monkeys, but I don't like the freemason/satanic one-eye symbology on the cover that's for sure.
@@bethechangebevegan853 12 angry men is a masterpiece, rewatched it a couple of months ago and still loved it as much as I did the first time. 12 Monkeys is a good movie as well imo.

my favorite would be blade runner the characters are so troubled and relatable and its beatifully shot the scene where dekard shoots the replicant and shes breaking through the glass has to be the most beautifully shot scene of all time and how can you not love roy's amazing dialogue at the end
Some people are doing their top 10, so here I go: 1. The Prince of Egypt. (1998) Reason: I love Biblical epics, so movies like The Ten Commandments, Ben-Hur, The Passion of the Christ go here, as do Christian movies like The Apostle, Silence, and Lilies of the Field. As a Christian who is a film buff, I find all of these movies to be moving and powerful. As for POE, it's a beautiful, animated movie that never fails to blow me away. This is my desert island movie. 2. Life Itself. (2014) Affirms why I love movies so much, and the info. on Roger Ebert is beyond fascinating to me. 3. 2001: A Space Odyssey. (1968) This movie is the ultimate movie EXPERIENCE. You don't watch it, you experience it. Scenes like the Stargate Sequence always put me in a trance and awe. 4. Citizen Kane. (1941) The greatest movie of all time for its achievements in filmmaking, a great, suspenseful story (I've seen it 4 times and the story still keeps me hooked), and in my opinion it has the best acting ever put on screen. I do like The Prince of Egypt, Life Itself, and 2001 more, but when it comes to movies as a whole medium, no film tops Citizen Kane. 5. The Courtship of Eddie's Father. (1963) The best family movie I have ever seen. I saw half of this on TCM one Thanksgiving and I was delighted by it the whole time. I bought the DVD and loved it nearly as much. I wish I saw this way before I was in my 20s! 6. Toy Story. (1995) While this is really more of a spot for all of my favorite animated movies, but this is easily my favorite non-Biblical one. I watched this tons of times as a kid, so much so that I may have seen it literally over 100 times. It still holds a special place in my heart, and so even though I'm an adult, it earns a spot in my top 10 favorite animated movies. 7. My Fair Lady. (1964) This is a spot for my favorite musicals, but no musical tops My Fair Lady. With great songs, costumes, and just a lavish production as a whole, there is no musical more "loverly" than this, and it's one of the best movies of all time. 8. Lake of Fire. (2006) As a person captivated by the abortion debate, I had to see this movie. It shows both sides, and even though I oppose abortion I must say I was challenged by this movie, and I couldn't stop thinking about it after I saw it. (Warning: There are 2 live abortion procedures in this movie.) 9. The Night of the Hunter. (1955) I went into this movie not knowing anything about it and I loved every minute of it. It was suspensful, creepy, and flawless in my opinion. I told someone about it soon after and I said: "That was literally a masterpiece." By the way, when I saw this the first time, it was in the 11-15 area, but I saw it again and it made the top 10. It was better the 2nd time! :) 10. City Lights. (1931) Just a delightful story with a great romance, some occasional laughs, and one of the most uplifting endings ever in film, even 90 YEARS LATER.
Couldn’t agree with you more about 2001. My brother sat me down at age 12 in our small dark spare room with only a sofa and TV in it to watch it. That’s when I fell in love with cinema. I only let myself watch it every few years.

AaronFilms707 Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight is not an action movie, it’s a philosophical film just like The Godfather, Inception, the first Jurassic Park, and the first Matrix to name a few. They’re movies to get you thinking about logic and reality, made for people with high IQ to understand. Tarantino and Scorsese make films about peoples lives that your average person with a low IQ can understand.

I would also pick The little Mermaid as well, because Ariel is in love with Eric, it brings happy endings, and Ursula has the best voice ever, I love how she danced.

my favorite would be blade runner the characters are so troubled and relatable and its beatifully shot the scene where dekard shoots the replicant and shes breaking through the glass has to be the most beautifully shot scene of all time and how can you not love roy's amazing dialogue at the end
Harakiri (1962) is my Number #1 favorite movie of all time
Yes, it's amazing.
Some people are doing their top 10, so here I go:
1. The Prince of Egypt. (1998)
Reason: I love Biblical epics, so movies like The Ten Commandments, Ben-Hur, The Passion of the Christ go here, as do Christian movies like The Apostle, Silence, and Lilies of the Field. As a Christian who is a film buff, I find all of these movies to be moving and powerful.
As for POE, it's a beautiful, animated movie that never fails to blow me away. This is my desert island movie.
2. Life Itself. (2014)
Affirms why I love movies so much, and the info. on Roger Ebert is beyond fascinating to me.
3. 2001: A Space Odyssey. (1968)
This movie is the ultimate movie EXPERIENCE. You don't watch it, you experience it. Scenes like the Stargate Sequence always put me in a trance and awe.
4. Citizen Kane. (1941)
The greatest movie of all time for its achievements in filmmaking, a great, suspenseful story (I've seen it 4 times and the story still keeps me hooked), and in my opinion it has the best acting ever put on screen. I do like The Prince of Egypt, Life Itself, and 2001 more, but when it comes to movies as a whole medium, no film tops Citizen Kane.
5. The Courtship of Eddie's Father. (1963)
The best family movie I have ever seen. I saw half of this on TCM one Thanksgiving and I was delighted by it the whole time. I bought the DVD and loved it nearly as much. I wish I saw this way before I was in my 20s!
6. Toy Story. (1995)
While this is really more of a spot for all of my favorite animated movies, but this is easily my favorite non-Biblical one. I watched this tons of times as a kid, so much so that I may have seen it literally over 100 times. It still holds a special place in my heart, and so even though I'm an adult, it earns a spot in my top 10 favorite animated movies.
7. My Fair Lady. (1964)
This is a spot for my favorite musicals, but no musical tops My Fair Lady. With great songs, costumes, and just a lavish production as a whole, there is no musical more "loverly" than this, and it's one of the best movies of all time.
8. Lake of Fire. (2006)
As a person captivated by the abortion debate, I had to see this movie. It shows both sides, and even though I oppose abortion I must say I was challenged by this movie, and I couldn't stop thinking about it after I saw it. (Warning: There are 2 live abortion procedures in this movie.)
9. The Night of the Hunter. (1955)
I went into this movie not knowing anything about it and I loved every minute of it. It was suspensful, creepy, and flawless in my opinion. I told someone about it soon after and I said: "That was literally a masterpiece."
By the way, when I saw this the first time, it was in the 11-15 area, but I saw it again and it made the top 10. It was better the 2nd time! :)
10. City Lights. (1931)
Just a delightful story with a great romance, some occasional laughs, and one of the most uplifting endings ever in film, even 90 YEARS LATER.
@@rollertoaster Awesome! :)
Couldn’t agree with you more about 2001. My brother sat me down at age 12 in our small dark spare room with only a sofa and TV in it to watch it. That’s when I fell in love with cinema. I only let myself watch it every few years.

@@tonyf.3932 ‘The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford’. You might’ve not heard of it cause it isn’t very known, it’s a western from 2007 but on the more realistic side.
Also The Good the Bad and the Ugly is in my top 3. And I also love almost everything Martin Scorsese does.

IzzyRomo No they don’t, they don’t know shit. Everyone likes those movies. Except Pursuit of Happyness which sucks. None of these movies compare to any Fincher, Coen, Scorsese, or Tarintino film. Don’t “sir you have good taste” him. For all I’m concerned he’s the little shit who said “I like Star Wars cuz the action,”. He doesn’t know shit. Shut your damn mouth.
You named my 1 and 2
AaronFilms707 Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight is not an action movie, it’s a philosophical film just like The Godfather, Inception, the first Jurassic Park, and the first Matrix to name a few. They’re movies to get you thinking about logic and reality, made for people with high IQ to understand. Tarantino and Scorsese make films about peoples lives that your average person with a low IQ can understand.
