So sorry to see this mishap, Blowy. I fly mine over long grass so I don't need the wheels, and as a consequence, it arms the gyro when flat level on the ground. On the maiden it was porpoising badly with the gyro on until I added 40g of weight in that recess ahead of the ply battery tray. It's one of the nicest flying models I have now (aside from a recent out-of-trim issue that was easily sorted). I hope that, given how long you had to wait for yours to arrive in Oz, that you'll have many hours of happy flying with this super little beast!
Good to here your enjoying your hawker. I think I fight the gyro too. Its weird my CG is tail heavy but it needs the elevator up 2mm thanks for your help
Thanks Blowy. I got mine around the same time but I still haven't maidened it. You live in Sydney too? Every time the wind is good I'm busy, when I'm not busy the wind is rubbish - and that's been a lot lately. I'm kinda reluctant because this is my first real RC plane - got a DX6 and Spektrum controller so it's all a bit daunting. Soon, I hope.
Yes bad weather it makes it hard to fly Have you tried a RC simulator I highly recommend it to develop that muscle memory. I brought that cheap kit on ebay cd n dongle n cords but I'm not sure what cords you need
Nice plane did you check surfaces before you took off does your elevator need reversing that’s what crash looked like to me bro I’ve got these planes and when you plug batt in the plane needs to be level in stand on mine elevator was snatchy dial a bit more expo in say 25-30% , the p51 and skyraider are the dogs as well, salute
Sorry about the crash brother . Maybe try to unplug the gyro on the next flight if you feel confident ? Or maybe some pre flight testing to see if its working properly or calibrated ? It's my understanding they can't be switched OFF and are still active even in expert mode . Just trying to help . You know more about this stuff than I do . I haven't tried this myself . Mine just arrived 2 days ago and I am waiting on some new receivers . They are beautiful planes and a great price to if you can get them .
Shame you could not keep it in the air longer - but that's the thing with maidens hey. All in all not too bad considering. Will you try without the gyro next time?
Well my friend..what we would like to see you try and fly..is the ." RAGE " SPIRIT OF ST LOUIS ,3 CHANNEL RTF RC.ROR A REVIEW..BEFORE I MAKE A PURCHASE..CAN YOU DO THAT FOR US MY FRIEND..??.
Screw those gyros...i never used them...when i did i alao had stupid crashes like you had...you have to have them set up perfect or you are much better off without them
LOOOOL Just saw the crash DID Not expect That! MAN!!

@@blowy48flyrc like this - RC Orange Rx DSMX/DSM2 USB Dongle for Flight Simulator. Recommended?
Any update on what caused the crash?
I still not should. The rear elevator was wrong but I think there must be something else wrong. Sorry lm slow with another video
Nice plane 🗣💯 i was going to get this but I got the hawker Typhoon instead .
The big typhoon nice
Bought this one Today, Crashed the Durafly Vampire V2. Looking to regain some motivation with prop planes Lol
Hope you enjoy this one
I have 10 channel fly sky reciever. Will it work with this model? Do I need seperate reciever battery?

No the elevator wasn't reversed but it does look like that cause I went down so quickly and maybe the travels are too high

You just brought this don't crash it like me good luck in your maiden flight and I'll turn off the self level for the next flight

Yes maidens are interesting and I better try it without the self level
Did you crash it?
Yes I wasn't happy I don't like crashing
Love mine ! Bet I have over 100 flights on it with out a problem
Nice to here
I had to add weight to the front to make it fly better. Suggested CG on the manual is too far back.
Did you thanks yes my hurricane I added 30g
i had 3 H-king planes and none of them flew right
Really that's a shame

Nice plane and history of it looks like it's hard to buy
Almost looks like elevator channel was reversed, the plane climbs gently, the dives down.

verry lucky crash, great opertunity for airbrushing though
It would look nice airbrush the white strips look to bright
