Good distance. Love the small book plate. This type of video is so helpful. Don’t be silent unless you aren’t feeling well. I love your narration, your Australian idioms, and your chuckle/laugh. I find your videos very relaxing. Thank you.
Super helpful video. I walk in my room and don’t know where to start with my journals. This time I paused the phone and crafted with you, definitely feel a bit more confident. Thank you 😊
I am solidly in the smaller book plate camp. The person who gets this journal is definitely lucky. It is layers and layers of beauty combined with a vintage soul. It doesn't get any better.
Well, I think the smaller name plate looks slightly better than the larger one, but if it were my journal, I’d like the bigger one, because it’s so intricate & I would enjoy seeing the details better!! I also like seeing your work a bit closer, but I feel like it makes you look cramped. When you moved the lamp higher midway through the video, I felt it was better not to have to worry if you were going to go offscreen a bit. So that’s all very helpful, right?! I love listening to your stories & I like the sound of your voice & your accent, so I don’t want a silent movie!! Your journals are always so pretty & I think all the various different book pages are so fun to see & notice the different fonts, etc! Thank you for all the time you give us. I appreciate it very much.
In response to your questions: definitely the smaller book plate, as it shows more of the beautiful end paper. And for your paper projects, I prefer the camera at the distance AFTER you moved the arm in this video. For the stitching videos it would be better closer, so you can see the details better. I love watching you work through a journal. I can make things all day, but actually applying them to a journal is where I really struggle. Thank you for sharing!
At first I thought the big label would be nice, but then I saw the little label again, and I liked it more. I love to see your journal process; I learn so much from you, Rachel. Thank you for the video.
I love when you do this type of video. I love to be able to see how all the elements work together and to get to see all your lovely papers. Thank you for all your hard work. I really enjoy your videos.
The small label looks wonderful. It Let’s you see more of the cover of the book. The distance for the video is perfect. Love your ramblings. So glad you didn’t go with a silent movie. Like you could!!!! 😍
Camera distance is fine, please don’t do silent videos, I love listening to you chat and hear what you have all been up to. The small book plate is best as the front page is beautiful. Lovely hearing Lulu joining in. Xxx
Just love your videos Rachel and the way you chat away as if you’re talking to a friend. Really enjoy Lulu’s input too, and hearing what you’ve all been up to. You have such a lovely family x
Rachel, this was so interesting. Absolutely enjoyed every minute of this video. Loved listening to what you had to say. I also love the smaller label as it doesn't cover as much of the beautiful cover paper. Have a nice rest of your Sunday💖💖💖
I like the small label and your camera distance is fine. I never notice an issue with that. 😊 Love all your ephemera and that journal is so pretty. Always enjoy when Lulu says hello.
I so much enjoy your videos. I like hearing all your ideas as you think things through. I like the small book plate as it shows more of the lovely paper underneath. ❤️😊
Oh Rachel, your work is incredibly inspiring. Thank you for giving us a bit of time with your journal process. And like Lulu, I prefer the smaller bookplate. The camera position is just right.
I like the small bookplate; as well as Lulu’s idea to add a bit of fabric. Love this journal. Thanks so much for sharing your process. Oh the camera distance is good.
I think this a good height for the paper creating but prefer a closer up view of the stitching videos. Just my preference and just because you asked. Lol. These are great journals and enjoy this type of video where you show how you compose the journal. TFS
Lovely video Rachel, so interesting and informative, I’ve learnt such a lot from it! So nice to know that it takes a long time and a lot of work for even seasoned journal makers like yourself to complete one. Thankyou so much for sharing, take care and stay safe xx
Another inspirational video! I like the smaller label for the inside cover. In regards to the camera, I like this distance of today’s video. Thinking the comments about zooming out may stem from the video posted after Wednesday’s stitching video. You probably zoomed in so we could see your stitching and then didn’t adjust for the paper crafting. All in all I’m happy to watch anything you post. Thanks for sharing your creative gifts with us.
Great video 😀 what to do with the pages is very helpful to this newbie to making journals, Thank you for your time and for sharing. I personally prefer the small label. I agree with being able to see the beautiful paper. You are such an inspirational person, enjoy your style. Be safe and have a great week. ❤️
Really enjoyed watching this the journal is beautiful. Your camera is a little closer than before not much. The smaller label is better like you and Lulu said. Thank you for sharing Rachel 😊
Fun video - you got so much done! I like the distance of your camera today. Unless its something that needs to be seen in close up detail (like stitching) I prefer the broader view. I like the small bookplate only because your backing paper is so pretty.
I loved watching this video Rachel. Beautiful journal. I liked the smaller label and also preferred it when you lifted the arm a bit but to be honest am happy with whatever angle
For your question: It's the right height or distance! Though I never had problems with it. 😊 I love the way how you put things together. It looks so effortless! 😄 I maybe think too much.
Enjoy watching you fleshing out your journal. I like the small label and perhaps Lulu’s suggestion of a bit of lace or fabric at one of the label’s corners. I like the camera distance, but would suggest you set yourself a visual boundary cue to keep from being off camera. Again, love your work and chatter. Take care.
I love the smaller label. That end paper is beautiful. Your camera was at a very good distance for journals. However, when you stitch be sure to come in a little bit closer. This journal is beautiful as always. One day, hopefully I can be on your list of recipients. I would love one of your tiny books made into a journal. So much fun to just hold.
Everything you do is awesome, I’d like the little label too, and I am happy cause I got to buy one of the Florentine paper bundles, I am usually late, meaning you’ve sold out! I am very excited!!!
I came to your channel recently from a recommendation by Robyn McClendon. I find your videos calmly entertaining and oddly I picture Olivia Coleman as your speaking. Am I the only one? Thanks for what you do, I appreciate it.
I like the smaller label. This journal is coming along nicely! Is there a waiting list for option to buy your journals? I would love to be on the list.
I think the smaller label myself...the large one covers too much of that beautiful end paper. That will be one gorgeous journal at completion. I think the height of your camera is about just right...maybe a little higher which will give you a bit more freedom. There is no way to always be perfect unless you want to be constantly adjusting the camera. Hi Miss Lulu ❤️🥰
I'm loving this journal. As for the front cover, I am with Lulu, the smaller is better and maybe a scrap of lace or something off one corner to add just a touch of something different. Is this going up in your shop for sale or is it reserved for someone?
I think you need to be a bit zoomed out or up higher. In this video, which is wonderful as always, you were out of shot more than normal. I love watching your videos, always inspiring!
I recently shipped out a journal, and after 10 days the person started asking for a refund. I use official United States Post Office box, with printed label and tracking. I put in a claim that I'm sure will be a long process, in the mean time I sold another journal so used that sale to give refund. I've never had this happen before. Now I'm using "signature required " costs me more but worth avoiding this again. Maxine
I love the distance of the of the camera. I think it's a great position! I love to see the details of the papers!
Thank you so much!
Whoever get this journal will be very blessed. Its beautiful. I enjoy your process.
Thank you so much!

There’s never a boo boo in junk journaling… it just becomes an opportunity to create something special!

I like the smaller bookplate. All your embellishments and pockets look great. Have a great Sunday to you too.
Thank you so much!
I like the smaller bookplate. Beautifully done journal! Fabulous job as always!
Thank you so much!
Smaller label & today the distance is perfect. Just love your videos!!!
Thanks so much 😊
Another wonderful journal in the making! I vote for the smaller label so that more of the end paper can be viewed.
Thank you so much!
This is my favorite kind of video we get too see your process and it helps as we craft along ❤️❤️❤️ love ❤️ 💕💕💕
Thank you so much!
Rachel: the small one. Great looking journal. Love it! Carol from California

I like the small label with perhaps a little fabric peeking out?
Thank you so much!
Loved this Rachel definitely the smaller one.👌❤
Thank you so much!
I've been enjoying the closer view🙂 Especially when you're stitching. Thanks for asking.
Thank you so much!
My vote: smaller book plate. But you know, whatever you choose will be just right. Height of camera was good for today's project (which is beautiful).
Thank you so much!

Thanks bunches for the journal visit, Rachel. Agree with Lulu....the smaller one. Hugs, Carol xo

For your question: It's the right height or distance! Though I never had problems with it. 😊

Thank you so much!
I like the smaller label. It seems to fit perfectly with the size of the inside cover. You asked about the view. Seems perfect.
Thank you so much!
I agree with Lulu on the front inside paper.
Thank you so much!
Hi.... Lulu.... The small one along with Lulu's idea.... And the camera is just fine...
Thank you so much!
Take care.

Like the view in this video. Like the small The Book Belongs To label.
Thank you so much!
Oh! I like the bigger book label 🏷
Thank you so much!
I feel the camera is in the right place, not too close at all, and I prefer the smaller label xx
Thank you so much!
Lovely journal! I prefer the smaller bookplate.
Thank you! 😊
I like the camera close like you have it now, smaller book plate so you can see the background paper looks great.
Thank you so much!
Smaller label, keep as much of inside page showing as is so lovely.
Thank you so much!
Also the small book plate x
Thank you so much!

As you know, I love your videos. I would say the smaller bookplate. The camera distance looks good to me.
Thank you so much!
I came to your channel recently from a recommendation by Robyn McClendon. I find your videos calmly entertaining and oddly I picture Olivia Coleman as your speaking. Am I the only one? Thanks for what you do, I appreciate it.
Thank you so much!
Since you asked, I prefer the small one on the flap. Fine for the distance. ❤
Thank you so much!
I like the smaller label. This journal is coming along nicely! Is there a waiting list for option to buy your journals? I would love to be on the list.
Thank you so much!
Smaller label I think ... shows off the end paper better which is beautiful 😍
Thank you so much!

Thank you so much!
I live in the Lockyer Valley west of Brisbane we have had 26.2 inches of rain in one week.
I hope you are all ok now!
Good distance but I think I preferred slightly closer(maybe because for me some things didn't seem in focus. Big book plate. Thanks for asking!
Thank you so much!
I like your camera being close. I can see much better. I am also leaning toward the smaller book label. Enjoy this video.
Thank you so much!
Smaller book plate label, enjoyed the video
Thank you so much!
Big label!
Thank you so much!
💜💜💜
Just a note, I prefer the smaller label too! X
Thank you so much!
Small bookplate, so you can see the nice paper behind 😊
Thank you so much!
I'm loving this journal. As for the front cover, I am with Lulu, the smaller is better and maybe a scrap of lace or something off one corner to add just a touch of something different. Is this going up in your shop for sale or is it reserved for someone?

Youre just right rachel 😊Lizzie xx
Thank you so much!
You need to measure your work frame including your wrists and then mark it out on working surface, then set your camera accordingly
I think you need to be a bit zoomed out or up higher. In this video, which is wonderful as always, you were out of shot more than normal. I love watching your videos, always inspiring!
Thank you so much!

I am so sorry to hear that!
Position is very good to me.
