Thanks very much Malcolm! Glad you enjoyed it! There is a series on this and a early one I did over a decade ago, with earlier loco models. Cheers Gregg.
There goes the track inspector skedaddling away at 12:29 . They ain't all they're quacked up to be you know? Lol! Great catches Gregg. I gotta' catch up! Cheers, Danny
Well there you go! It's not a bad town and has a great coffee shop now! Though some of the residents in the caravan park were a bit average?? Thanks for watching. Gregg.
Thats what it's called... I was trying to remember the name of that paint scheme! A pair of 2300's in the eagle paint look good and much better than the horrible Aurizon yellow. Thanks for watching.
Great video, that’s neat how the helpers detached from the train, is there a button can that causes them to separate? Love the paint schemes nice and bright. I noticed that the coal cars don’t have couplers, I sure it’s messy if they derail.
Thank you Terry! The last coupler is rigged so that it doesn't lock, nothing as flash as BNSF's "Helper link" I'm afraid! The cars are linked in pairs, so a coupler every two cars , though some .companies have 3 or 5 packs of cars. Days are lovely down here now. Cheers Gregg.
@@FishplateFilms Most of the Pac Nat ECP coal fleet is composed of 4 packs of wagons, and as you say, Aurizon runs 2 packs. Pac Nat also runs 7 packs on some of the older 120 tonne wagons such as NHRH. Pac Nat had some 3 packs which were older 100 tonne wagons. Mostly only see ECP braked wagons on the main north past Muswellbrook now, as they are newer and shorter in length to fit more wagons in the crossing loops. Crossing loops on this line are about 200 metres shorter than on the Ulan line. Not sure if you recorded this on the 8th of May, but I brought an Aurizon coal train back to Newcastle on that day, went through Ardglen at 12:24 with 6011, 6025 and 6004. We took it to Werris Creek the night before, booked off at Quirindi overnight and returned on it the following day.
@@9035 Thank you for the info Peter! I was down there in late February so missed you on that one, but I have more clips from the trip coming up, so keep an eye out if you were on duty in that time? No grain this time so it got a bit "groundhog day" by the end! Plus the newer power is so quiet and has no soul like the old 82 and 90 class :-) I hope you enjoyed my views of your work place. Thanks and Cheers, Gregg.
Yes, why do they always go with stupid colours, after a practical and good looking scheme? Mind you , why would you leave Intermodal and only stay with coal....a shrinking market worldwide....thats Aurizon for you!! Thanks for watching. Gregg.
Thank you ! The camera is a Sony HXR-NX3, a broadcast level camcorder. Its' big and expensive, but gives me full manual control and 3 big photo sensors! Gald you enjoyed the video. Cheers Gregg.
Superb
Thanks very much Malcolm!

Nice. Saw some similar Coal Trains and Grain Trains hauled by DL & 82 classes when i was up at Crystal Brook.
Thanks Tim! I will try and get to Crustal Brook next time I'm down at Lofty. 82's are pretty cool looking locos.
Cheers Gregg.

Up the pineapples!
Being a Qlder I do like seeing the QR herald on the old eagle scheme also.

Can't agree with you more Gregg on the old QR N scheme being better. :)

Did you see that track inspector run when the helper units drove in reverse down the grade? Lol.
Yes Joe! Thats what happens when you walk the track without a lookout!!
Cheers Gregg.
Another great vid Gregg . I do like the QR National color scheme better than the Aurizon one
Cheers Glynn
Thank you Glynn! The 2300 class look good in the old QRN colours too!
Cheers mate.

Thanks for your answer. I'm currently contemplating to replace my handycam with something more higher resolution
@@BagusWidyanto_HappyIn1997 No worries. This camera is not 4k , but gives great resolution due to a big lens and good quality sensors. :-)
A Quracker of a video Gregg!
LOL...thanks John! I guess I had that coming!

window shades!
The afternoon sun is pretty fierce down here , so the shades help keep the cabs cool!
FishplateFilms most excellent. Your videos are great. Thanks for putting in so much time, I have learned a lot
@@UBME2 Thanks very much Kurt! I'm glad you enjoy the videos as much as I enjoy making them and I appreciate the support.

is that the track inspector still on the job at 12:27?
LOL...yes and they forgot to tell the controller they were still there!!
Do they use draw bars in groups of two cars ? Great video
Thanks very much Jim! Yes, Aurizon run pairs of cars and some operators run up to 5 cars in a set.
Cheers Gregg.
