- Have you ever heard of Bacalar? Or the Lagoon of 7 colors? Neither did we until we visited Playa del Carmen and discovered this beautiful gem of a lake. Yes, it's an actual lake that looks like the Caribbean Sea. It's waters go from blue to turquoise hues.
It's located in southeastern Mexico near the Belize border. It has a fort called Fuerte de San Felipe which was built in the 18th-century and now houses a piracy museum displaying colonial-era weapons and artifacts. To the south is Cenote Azul, a small, deep lake with underwater caves which feed into Lake Bacalar.
It's a paradise to be discovered and not to be missed!
Enjoy the video and let us know where you're watching from.

HOW TO MAKE HORCHATA:
Blend. Blend the rice, water, and cinnamon sticks until the rice and cinnamon sticks are roughly ground. Add the remaining water and blend again.
Let Sit. Pour the contents into a pitcher or container with a fitted lid and place on your countertop overnight (or for at least 8 hours).
Strain. Pour the rice mixture into a fine mesh strainer, into a pitcher and discard the rice.
Add. Stir in the milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar (to your preference). Chill until ready to serve. Stir well before serving and serve over ice.

@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders you put a quarter of a kilogram of rice, to soak in a liter of water with some cinnamon coughs, all night, the next day you grind the rice with cinnamon that is very thin and strain it on a cloth so that the ground rice does not pass alone the liquid that comes out, you put sugar and vanilla in liquid to taste. And you already have a delightful orchata.
Another is to make oatmeal orchata and it is also super delicious.
Rainbow Squash there’s different types but they’re referring to the Mexican style horchata

I know. We all want to go back again.
Is Mexico is beatiful is very nice. I from Guatemala.
The horchata drink came to America through the spanish. And the spanish adopted it way before, from the muslims, during the muslim ocupation of Europe. The name of the beverage comes from latin (hordeata). In America it was adopted by Mexico, and spread to other parts as I can see now.
very, very nice

It's our favourite too! We haven't found it here in Europe. Do you know a good recipe ?
@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders si, hay muchas formas de prepararla.
Ingredientes:
2 tazas de Arroz remojado durante 2 horas
4 tazas de agua
2 rajitas de canela
2 tazas de leche
Azúcar --> la medida es a tu preferencia
Hielo
Rice ?
This place is amazing thanks for share it!
