So....Walnut or Electric Blue...?
i've ordered walnut because of price... almost $200 cheaper - brand new =) but anyway, blue too risky for interior. i would prefer white as a100 or white pearl color

How do these compare to the Edifier s880db? They seem very similar? I have the s880db and wonder if the A80 is an upgrade.

Very comparable but visually and performance wise, prefer the A80s

We’ve tried the S2000 and S3000 but not the S1000 🙈
Price difference is double though, that’s a huge factor

I think the woodgrain finish looks cheap and the light blue looks weak and pale. Why not a gloss black or gloss red finish as in the A100? If I was to pay for a premium colour, why not a nice pearl white? I guess that's my personal taste but given the two ugly choices I would refrain from purchasing them.
So before buying them I would think 2 times for a service issue. Good sound but bad service, speaker is not durable. The right speaker burned out after 5 months of occasional use with medium to low volume levels. Support is very slow to respond and does not have the necessary preparation to handle the fault. As an electrical technician I simply asked for a pair of 4.5" mid-woofers to replace but it is very difficult to have them. In addition, this woofer size cannot be found on the market because it is a custom made by the manufacturer.
Overall, I don't know whether to buy them again. This was my experience with this model, maybe other models are more realible.
$550 for Edifier?
It’s a fair price and some Edifier speaker systems are top notch 👍
