Ryder, I like the analog aspect of all of this rather than digital. Keeps my nose out of the computer screen to which I am glued to as a writer, programmer and digital artist. I am a newbie and loving this already.
being intentional is the focus now breaking my year into 4 quarters to think about time and what I want to accomplish this year I just started rereading the bujo method to get more out of my practice this will help me see farther into my future planning for success. 💖
I understand why you feel that way and I’ve heard my kids say the same thing when I have them on a program we are watching. For me, the subtitles are so helpful (hearing loss)!
Nice spread! It goes well with my financial planning that I update each quarter to check my status and accomplishments to ensure they are on target for the year.
This is the spread I was needing. Ive been using a four page spread for future logging. I like this better. Searching for the perfect spread for cyclic events like haircuts, dog grooming, blood donation, anything that happens on a 6 to eight week schedule (or more).
In my compilation journal it still goes day by day, but often many days in a single page. The idea of year journaling is amazing to me as I’m only around 9-8 months into journaling at all.
I watched this short twice and I don't quite understand. What kinds of things are you writing for each months? Events, goals? Is it just a different layout?
Did watching the full length video help? This layout helps me see at a glance what my focuses are for that period of time. I am traveling a lot this year, so I first blocked off my travel weeks or out of office periods. Then I consider other big milestones in the year - for example, Bullet Journal Day is August 8, so I can mark that week's focus and priority as such. This is not for task-level type of things. Hope that helps!
added some longer responses to the full video that might help clarify! essentially the Year at a Glance is more about seeing big picture, which then informs the specific actions in the Future Log, Monthly, Daily, etc
the little column that made it super useful for me was to be able to mark where I would be, physically - a lot of the other pages I've seen didn't quite have that element to it
I zoomed in on the last seconds of the video to check the content and saw “Did you zoom in this far?!”. Made me laugh 😂.
hahahaha glad someone noticed!

this is great to hear :)
Glad to see others are new to this. This is my first day. This may be the winning lottery ticket.

Wow. I have to submit quarterly reports for work, I really like this.

This is a great idea. I wonder if it can replace the future log. Looove it!!!! I don’t think I’ll ever buy another planner.
let us know how that goes! always interested in how these spreads play out in different contexts!
That is so genius, thank you 💗✨
This is great. Thank you for sharing!

Nice Ryder! I’ll give it a shot..

it's certainly a treat to be able to skim through your year!
It’s a visualization of the significance of the passage of time…
I like this also.
Love it!!❤❤❤
Hannibal Lecter, is that you?
Aaaah inspiring!
You can't just refuse when dr. Hannibal Lector offers you smth
I love it!! Would this replace the Future Log..?
No they are separate things, the Yearly Log is just a nice overview of what's going on, where as Future Log is filled in along the way
I'm doing this and OMG the diference. Definetley recommended 🎉
That's great to know!

@@bulletjournalcan you link to the full link video you mentioned? It’s harder to find on mobile. Thanks.
Ryder, do you do specific planning in this spread? For example, how do you use this versus a future log?

I'm so glad you asked this, I wasn't understanding.
@@bulletjournalOH there is a longer video! On my way!
Is this the same as a future log?
Digital is not something that I can touch. Out of sight out of mind. My chances to check my Analog planner are exponentially possible.
Hang on, I think a lot of diaries you buy in the store have a page like this already?!?!

The subtitles stresses me. 😬
