Love my 801 so far. Only 1600km in on it but it looks great, sounds great and rides great. Can’t complement the engine characteristics or the suspension enough.
Nice looking bike, but at almost 11k I'd say it's competing with the mt-09 not a Suzuki 8s. Also I'm a little Leary regarding KTM reliability. But, it is sharp.
Lots of superlative comments about ergos, with only data of weight and seat height. ZERO data on size, limb length, snd weight of tester. Makes the superlatives pretty worthless. I don't have $11k for a bike. I'll figure it out a few years from now.
Half finished...you'd be better buying the Vitpilen 801,that's the road bike, for a scrambler, it has the wrong wheels, they should be wire spoke, with the original 18" up front, scrambler footrest hangers, not sportsbike,an exhaust the doesn't overhead the shock, and an actual fuel tank, not a cover, which should have been 17-18litres...then there's the price, it's not worth £3500 over the 790 Duke in the UK,at least £2500 too expensive, given what it needs to sort it out...KTM will have to sort their pricing out, if they are to survive, especially with the 'bread and butter ' bikes like these...these should be their top selling products!
to alleviate concerns with cams, KTM could offer lifetime warranty on the cams on 790/890 bikes
charging for software features in a vehicle is such a scam
Looks and feels better than its rivals. So futuristic design. I would anyday choose this over MT and GSX and Hornet.
The bike looks promising, tho I would still prefer a NUDA 2.0 hypermotard style bike, maybe with the bigger 890mktm engine . . .

Any chance you had the 701, and can you compare the seats?
@@trunktoyzNope, sorry, just the 401
Solid review.
The price tag has killed this lovely bike before it's had a chance 😢

only a "little"???
Yeah, just replace the camshafts every 2 oil changes, and you wont have too many reliability problems. @@Emily-ou6lq
More than a little.
The best bike this year ❤❤❤❤

Incredible, I love it!
I like the motor.... except for it chewing through camshafts.
Need a 901.
Maybe that's next... With Brembo Stylemas and even better suspension. Dang that would be sick with Husky styling...

In the fifties in Sweden: Husqvarna Silver Arrow 175c.c. and Golden Arrow 200c.c. and now, Husqvarna Black-Arrow! Why not!

16k miles service: new head and cams. 🤣
Really have you already done 16k miles or is this just "trust me bro" 🤪

Does there have to be a camshaft troll on every 790/890 review now?

That seat doesn’t look ‘great’. It looks painfully thin.
If you turn down the white balance on the GoPro to -1, then your vids will be a lot better. Now it’s almost unwatchable.
"READY TO BREAK"🤣
That's a gorgeous sewing machine! :) Have you all covered the 2024 401?
Not yet. We hope to soon.
Overpriced junk
ie. you can't afford it . . .
@@AnythingEvil78 no It is overpriced and prone to camshaft eating. KTM are pushing themselves towards bankruptcy
And it's made in China or India....?
