Just want to say that I have the 500h and love it! It’s not a german car and IMHO that’s a good thing. The biggest mistake that Toyota can make would be to listen to all the reviews out there and mess with it, it’s a great car as it is!
@@cvshav Not at all. You won't feel the need for a 6 cylinder, as the car has more than enough torque. You wouldn't notice when the engine comes on anyway, and part of the roaring sound (faint as it is) you hear when you floor it is artificially created through the speakers. Of course, I would recommend you drive it a bit and see how you feel it before buying, you may have a different opinion than mine. One more thing: going with 4 cylinder was smart since it would be the only way to achieve higher gpms in a performance SUV. I may be wrong, but I think they will never go back to 6-cyl anytime soon.
You are very correct. The car is great as it is. Sometimes people talk about things that you won’t even need once you start to enjoy the car. A car cannot tick all the boxes, even those German alternatives.
I am the Boca Raton crowd and I think you haven’t been here lately. We have more super cars here than you can imagine in East Boca..That stereotype needs to end. Great review as usual. Not a fan of any of these 23 RX models. I have had 13 Lexus cars and SUVs. My 22 RX 350:and 22 ES 350 F sport are probably my last cars with Lexus due them dropping the V6
We spoke to the engineers. It's the same engine as the Crown and Grand Highlander, which both use regular. It will just make a bit less power: carbuzz.com/news/2024-toyota-grand-highlander-has-a-secret-to-make-more-power
@@carbuzzcom just spoke to Lexus Canada. They state this is not the case and can’t verify based on you speaking to someone. Very frustrating and now I’m left nowhere. A reference or point of contact (name email etc) would be useful. They quoted the service manual again and again which states premium fuel only.
@@beansy99 they are simply referencing what is recommended to customers. But the engine is EXACTLY the same as the one in the Crown and Grand Highlander, which both run on regular fuel. There is nothing mechanically different about the RX other than it runs on premium.
The 500h feels just like a supercharged V6. I have the 2024 500h and came from a 2022 Range Rover Sport HST with a supercharged 395HP V6. My 500h feels just as fast and powerful as the Range did, but the Lexus is much much smoother!!… I don’t miss the V6 at all!

Does the 4 cylinder bother you?? That's my only holdback hesitation

I still LOVE THIS VEHICLE. NO OTHER🙏🌹💯

Great car review. Love this car incredible suv that is reliable 😀 do you know if this 500h built in Japan or Canada??? Thank you
Window sticker says Canada
YOUR BIGGEST KENYAN FAN RIGHT HERE, 09/08/2023
I love love Lexus every car very unique
the engine noise is really annoying.
is it the same in rx350?
FYI. I have a 500h with red interior. Not sure if that’s a US thing only but it’s silver exterior with red interior
i have red interior with silver exterior 500 h in canada :)
The copper crest color doesn't come with the red interior. Other exterior colors, do....
The PHEV does not have a 2.0L it’s the same 2.5L from the RX350h with larger batteries
I am always shocked how cheap the cars are in U.S., this 70k+ USD Lexus RX 500h is easily 100k EUR here in EU.
Why some 500h car has the back seat heat and cool function and electric folding back seats up and down and some don’t have?
Because you have to pay extra for them
Now that it's turbo-charged, I wonder how reliable it is...
It's a Lexus. Should be fine. Turbos have existed forever.
@@carbuzzcom most definitely..
Where is the rear wiper blade? Does it have any?
It hides underneath the rear spoiler, as far as I know
@@jamiele9638Your statement is correct
Evidence you can run this on regular fuel please. Lexus Canada dealers have informed me this is not so.

It is so quiet in there
R u driving up and down the same st
Yeah, we need a road that isn't busy, has turns, and doesn't have lights. Those are rare in Florida. We found one, but it's short.
Should have not killed the V6, dumb move
Exactly 6cyl are best

I was cross shopping this with the GV70 3.5T but man, Genesis blows this thing outta the water
No v8 or v6 is a deal breaker
