Funny thing... at first i liked only a few songs and Trivium was an off/on thing to me. Years went by when i didnt listen to a single Track. But now they are my favorite Band and i cant imagine why there were those off-phases
@@raidiano3507 Even funnier thing that is basically my case, I've heard World Goes Cold and The Sin and I kinda liked it but never got too much into them, and suddenly I fuckin' love them so much.

Many of the 2020 songs are influenced by all the problems hitting us magnified by Coronavirus, Trump's stupidity and George Floyd's death This song is talking about the eviction epidemic taking place, magnified by the pandemic. And the only way to change things is to break the system by whatever sacrifices necessary
Album review time. It's tough to put into words this album. You've managed to do something that I didn't think to be possible. Pull songs from your entire discography, but yet have the musical genius to make the album flow and pace flawlessly. I didn't listen to a single song leading up to this album release because I wanted to take the whole album in as a whole and on a first listen. I expected a Sin And The Sentence II but am amazed at what i actually got. I got an album that was crafted with such musical precision. A curveball that perfectly sums up what Trivium is now, and what they have been. There's no slow parts in this album. Honestly this sounds like a forgotten album that would've bridged Shogun and In Waves. It's a modern day masterpiece. Every member shines on this album that offers something blissful, melodic, thrashy, dark, and even the new Trivium sound. I was expecting greatness but not this level of great. Bravo Trivium. From a musical standpoint idk how this could've been any better. This album literally has everything but never feels like it's a different album. It is its own thing and knows who it truly is, with not a single riff being out of place or forced...Wow.... After over a decade, Shogun has been dethroned.
I couldn't have said it better myself. I 100% agree on every point you make. This album is going to be looked back on as the album that defines Trivium. It seems like they have been searching for that thing that makes them different and this album is the pinnacle Trivium sound. It's unique to them as a band. It has everything and still leaves me craving more. Bravo Trivium
Exactly! This album is the essence of Trivium and their whole career so far. They drew all their past albums' virtues and placed them here with a lot of sensitivity!
You're gonna trigger the Shogun fanboys. On a real note though, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and to me, this is the best work they've released in years and currently my favorite album by them.
I've been a fan since Ascendancy, i've seen all the music direction changes, highs and lows in the band. I sincerely can't be more happy and proud with this band. Congratulations for all this years of hard work
Good luck to Alex playing this album as a whole of the anniversary show in 20 years without his arms falling off. What. A. Beast. He was the missing link that would bombard you to true greatness. He gave hints of it in TSATS, but here he proved it. He is out of this WORLD!
This album isn’t Shogun, it’s not Ascendency, it’s what the dead men say! And I think everyone is going to be referring to this one like they do for those two albums
DUDE...blown away by this one, the whole damn album actually...you guys have managed to not only never pigeonhole yourself or stile yourself's creatively throughout your career, but all this time later, you deliver what is arguably one of your best, if not best (as of now, you'll likely surpass this one later too lol) albums of all time, this album has it all \m/
Controversial maybe, but I think this is Trivium’s best album. Followed by Shogun then The Sin And The Sentence. The new stuff is blowing me away. Alex Bent is godly and I just love the vibe that they’ve got going on. They better stick with Alex as their drummer because this is something truly special! 🤘🤘
Yeah it's tough to say but I think this album might be my favorite now. After listening to it over and over again it's clearly better than a large majority of the discography. Only album that might be better still is Shogun but I might just be nostalgic towards it. The musicianship is incredible in this one. They took elements from everything they've ever done along with all of their influences and put it into one beautiful album that truly sums up just who Trivium is as a band. I love it.
wow! I'm impressed! real! All your tracks are so cool and powerful! I would like to listen to them endlessly! You have wonderful vocals, great playing of musical instruments. You are the only band that I adore absolutely all albums and tracks. Thank you for your creativity. You are a great group!
I can't help but wonder if they was listening to some early Children of Bodom when writing this one. That outro giving me some delightful Silent Night Bodom Night vibes.
Damn! I hoped this Album would be epic! But I can't even find words to tell how much I love it. 2020 is shitty, but this... this is just magic. 😍 Thank you so much guys!
Such an epic song, I’ve waited to listen to this gem of an album way too long! But maybe that’s why I love it so much! Trivium’s best work IMO, I love this album so much!🙏🏻

Whattttt???? Compare Offspring with Trivium is like comparing a little lizard with a Dragon of Komodo, at leat you could have compared with Kreator last album.
@@hugopazmino6342 This song does sound like punk. The vocal delivery and the drum pattern in verses is pop punk 101. And it shouldn't necessarily mean something negative.

The beginning of this song reminds me so much of The Sin and the Sentence
The intro
Yeap hahahaha even the drum cues have only a few notes difference between em
Even better imo.
Trivium and Kreator are trying to be melodeath so badly
Yes it does
The greatest 21st century metal band
IMO that title belongs to Gojira but man, I recently discovered Trivium and they're awesome
Both are amazing. But yes I'd say Gojira has that title, but Trivium is definitely hanging somewhere around 5th place if I had to make a top 10 list.

Same. It's not perfect but it is a much better evolution than the last couple records. Sometimes I think Mat forgets he's leading a metal band.
They truly have always been creative with their style. Always experimenting. Ttivium as a band stands out among the masses of bands
Pretty much sums it up. It's been a pleasure to watch them grow.
Matt's interview in Rob Flynn's podcast goes trough all these different times. I recommend it to all Trivium fan
The father of all outros.
never get rid of alex bent best drummer you guys have had
fucking agreed!! his drumming is beast mode on this whole album!
Alex Bent is just sick at drumms! What a great performance!

The bass in the outro is one of my favorite parts of the whole song
THAT FADE OUTRO THOUGH... took me the second listen through to realise how absolutely FAT that bass is during it... think I'll listen a third time
yeah dude I was floored by that outro
Yess that outro is so good

2:30 Are you kidding me? This is epic, what a riff. I cannot believe what Trivium have created with this album...
Such a great f##### RIFF👍👌

There's a shit ton of double bass in this, I love it

IDKW but it kind of reminds me of Iron Maiden...
3:12 is just so beautiful and is my favorite part of the song
Since the day i have listened Ascendancy, i knew you were not a common band.
Well done guys, best band out there.
Love this oneee! Trivium the best!
Ruby Raysa yes !
He’ll yeah Trivium are the best!
It feels like they found their new style in silence in the snow and are improving with every additional album.
This is why I greatly enjoy Trivium, Slipknot and Bring Me The Horizon
This song makes me wanna cry and I dont know why
For me it’s the subject matter, the fact that it’s the last song, and the over all feel of the song
Me too, it’s so powerful! These guys are so fucking skilled! The ending guitar riff slaps me so hard it brings my soul out!👊🏻
I love how they dropped all the Arena Rock stuff and went back to what they're good at, heavy fucking metal
Matt's vocals are at an all-time great. I never thought I'd say this but overall, I think this album is on par with Shogun and Ascendency
Ascendogun.

This album IS the new Shogun and I will stand by that statement.
