NC35, pls try once. I’m almost your skin tone.. and the foundation shades other than mac whichever you use, exactly matches my skin too. But when I went to a nearby Nykaa store and asked for NC42, the attendant there suggested me to try NC35 instead and I asked both the shades to try. I tried NC42-little dark on me, NC40-too orange, NC37- light on me, NC35 - perfect while blended. During summers, when I tan, it’s a teeny tiny bit lighter but otherwise, it has really worked well on my skin tone
You are right, unfortunately PAC foundation exaggerates the open pores and other textures a lot and also sticks to some dry patches which I didn't even know I had!

For PAC foundation maybe try shade 3.0 because yours and my skintone seems close and I use shade 3.0 in HD range
