I have an Elkhart green 72 LS 5. 4 speed fully loaded with a 3.08 rear end since 1997. It's a real torque monster. The previous owner to me told me of a story of how he was driving on the Mass Turnpike at about 120 miles an hour early one Sunday morning. A 396 Chevelle pulled up along side him. Seeing the Chevelle he put his foot all the way into it and hit 160. I had it going 135 one time and that was enough for me. What a blast. I have to admit I have always loved green and yours is a beautiful.

My dad had a 55 T bird in the 70s, he said the car ran cooler on hot days with the hood not fully xlosed
