That old Granada banjo is a weapon, tipping on 100 years now and only getting better, Dan's smiles when Ron took the break, tickled pink. Happy Days ❤❤
Aside from Alison and Dan's vocals, these 5 musicians are 'hot shit' to coil a phrase. Beautifully produced, we get some nice close-ups of the pickin', slidin' and sawin' on that fiddle. What they have is something that AI will never replace... and that's friendship and genuine human feeling behind the drive to be this good. Listening to good Bluegrass like this classic song is like watching swallows in flight.
this tune would go great with a railroad trip aboard a vintage STEAM train through some mountainous region of the central/southern states such as the Smokies......music in time with the big pistons and drivers chuffing along fairly fast...........so many bluegrass tunes that just seem to have been made for railroading.....! thundering around the bend fast and ON TIME......when the engineer blows that whistle, people stop whatever they,re doing for a moment to set their watches and clocks to it........
Nah, go for Ralph. These guys are talented, but this song has a melody, and they're running all over it. I watched them ruin a Bill instrumental live in Dahlonega once, played it just too fast to be appreciated, and never forgave it.

this gets better with every listen
The first :45 as everyone notices how tight they sound is pure gold. Dans face is priceless.
There is a sentimentality to the sound of this song, I feel. Sounds like home:) 🤍
Grammy award winning performance!
That bass player is keeping them in time!
I'm listening on my laptop's speakers and I'll have to take your word for thatr.
That's his job!
That's what he there for. Rhythm section. Bass & Drums.
His name is Barry Bales. I saw these live in Cardiff, Wales UK. Mid 90,s. 🇬🇧 🏴
Ron Block is such a great banjo player. And he even looks the archetypal part :))
Listening to Ron playing, sounds like there are at least 2 banjos playing.
Not long enough, so I'm playing it again!
Alison reminding us she's more that just a great voice...
got it on repeat....man, oh man, my goodness me....who needs lecktricity? lol
William L. I’ve had this song on repeat for 2 months
They're having a blast. Enjoying every note, phrase etc. Top shelf musicians, Nashville,s Finest. 🙏❤️🎼🎼
What an awesome instrumental! Toe tapping is going on! Texas Two Step Heaven!

It doesn't get better than this.. expert musicians all of them.
Wow, just incredible playing...I hear a nod to the late, great "King Of Bluegrass", Mr. Jimmy Martin...what a guy. Superb track.
Superb musicians, I saw these live @ The Cardiff Coal Exchange late 80,s. , early 90,s. Brilliant stuff.
Happy Birthday Barry 👍👍🎂🎂
absolute perfection n that's a fact
True to the Tune.. and true to the time.
Metro-Gnomes, all.
Brilliant alarm clock music
Blows me away!
Can you hear those cbickens squawk and cluck in that fiddle....and the sounds they make when they're layin?
Play it again cranked up!
Son Buenisimos. Tocan los Instrumentos en forma Increible¡!!
Check out Dave Hum banjo on same tune or Mungo Jerry's "In the Summertime". Any style Irish to bluegrass and beyond.
LOVE BABY
THAT'S WHERE IT'S AT
I can only imagine how exhausting playing the fiddle is. I can see why she doesn't play as much now that she's older.
banjo tabs on my table, NOW!
This song Absolutely needs to be 8 minutes long...🙃
Wow and then some
BAN - JO nuff sed
Pretty lit.
Wow
Nice!
Barry Bale timing immaculate
Could do with being a bit longer. I could listen to Ron Blocks banjo playing again and again. Reminds me a bit of the late. great Kenny Ingram.
I love this version of this tune. Still working out the licks on it myself...
The dobro made the hen cluck
0:34 ron and dan, know its good
What's Chris Pratt doing up there?
What is up🤔, its the opposite of down.
Alison Kraus has more talent in her thumb than Taylor Swift, There I said it.

Wow thats nothing like the original song, kinda anyway though. Must be the hillbilly Lib version.
