I don't care what you think of his politics, views on hunting, or his personality, Ted Nugent is an amazing and so underrated and underappreciated guitar player, song writer, and musician, that it's not even funny !Seriously, even if you don't like him, just listen to his playing - awesome !!!
remember 1968 Amboy dukes
his politics are 100% constitutionally correct, and his guitar playing got better with time....while the British rock stars skills faded with time...because Nugent was always drug and alcohol free.
@@tunnelportterror those are a hard guitar to control too
I don't have a problem with his politics
@@mandomendez5618
No intelligent, sane true American would ever have a problem with Ted and his politics. He's right on the money and dead on most of the time.
i’m Apache n this song fits right in with us 🤘😎 thanks Ted 🔥⚔️🔥
to play hollowbody gibson guitar straight into a peavey 5150 amp,and crank it, is pure madness...only Ted can do that and survive
8:11 trying to role in more!
It's not too bad if you can keep your palm muting the strings while your playing certain notes. I play a chibson byrdland I got and put burst buckers in it and play through a 6505 + it's a blast man. Something about the growl of a hollowbody guitar cranked. There's nothing like it imo.
That is just pure guitar virtuosity of the highest quality. Mesmerising.
I've always Enjoyed Hearing Ted Nugent and His Guitar.
A prime example of when he concentrates on just playing guitar, Ted can really play some kickass shit, man. I love this version of Great White Buffalo.
saw ted in winnie texas ,,,between songs he started on some blues .he kicked ass...
Deep relevant lyrics, crisp driving guitar. One of my favorites from Professor Nugent!!!!
Ted is certainly in the top 10 Guitarists of all time! "Stranglehold" is in the class of "Freebird," and "Stairway to Heaven," all are Masterpieces.
Agreed!
NUGENT!!! At about 1:52 nearly lost my mind damn can he play!!!🍺
I saw him. 3 times...
1978-82 era
he just kept getting better
I have always loved Uncle Ted`s tone.
LONG LIVE "THE NOBLE SAVAGE"
That was one bad ass version right there Ted. I salute you. Like I said no one can take your place.
Great performance! I still have my Double Live Gonzo 8-track that introduced me to this song in the 70's . : )
One of your best jams period!!
One of his absolute best !!! Love this
This version is a fucking masterpiece
Ted at his best. say what you will about him .. dude could rock the guitar.
Gotta love our crazy uncle Ted!!!!!
Legendary guitar icon! Ted 4ever!
God Bless Uncle Ted!!!!!!
Nobody ever left a Nuge concert and said they paid too much for the ticket.
Amazing!!
this is a top version ..I'll listen to Ted forever. great guy as well .
8:35 to 10:24 - the mighty Byrdland speaks through Ted. AWESOME!
Love me some Uncle Ted! Rock on, vote for TED NUGENT
This is what you got watching Ted live. Songs with a lot of improvisation. Imagine being in the band and following his lead. Awesome!
I saw Nugent in 78, got to the very front in Missoula. It was so great!!
The Birdland is awesome. The Spruce top resonates beautifully, the pickup hardware buzzes in tune and the sound is a hot mess. Right on Brother Ted, Rock and Roll Lives!
BEST GUITARIST EVER.
great to the greatest ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
omg he was on! best GWB i've seen.
He should be on the label of Land O’Great Lakes butter 😊
Pure rock of the greatest kind!
The first album that I ever purchased was double live gonzo when it was released. I will be purchasing this 1995 concert release, it sounds so good.
7:24 He kills me with the wide eyes. And always a good friend to shoot shit up with. Yes, the double entendre is on purpose. Much respect for his stance on dope.
Great version for me !!
I wish I could fucking like this video 30 times!
Pure....raw.....divine......

Dude holy shit Mike Lutz from Brownsville Station on Bass!

That makes for one hell of an exit, I must say. What a great way to end his performance.
Ted Nugent Is Fucking Awesome! He Is The Greatest Arena frontman Of All Time!

lol, I was just going to say that but figured there was someone in here with a good sense of humor thinking the same thing. Not many will get this.
LOVE
It sickens me to think this this guy is not in the RRHF.
The RRHF is completely unobjective bullshit anyway. It is about favoritism and whim. Even bands like Deep Purple and Uriah Heep are not in the Rock Hall of Fame yet MAdonna and Patti Smith are. Ted Nugent -the great Motor City Madman - will never be inducted to it because Jann Wenner (co-founder and editor-in-chief of Rolling Stone) is a liberal progressive left-winger and Nugent is a conservative.
Quoting Ted Nugent:: "When stupidity and dishonesty rules the day, I care that stupidity and dishonesty shouldn’t rule the day. The best example of that is that there’s a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley and James Brown and Aerosmith and ZZ Top and Van Halen-clearly, ultimately, deserving souls. And then you have Grandmaster Flash and ABBA and Patti Smith and Madonna? Are you kidding me? Why don’t we just go over to Bo Diddley’s grave and take a big dump on it? But, being that as it may, I just think it’s tragic and rude-and dishonest-that you put a Patti Smith and a Grandmaster Flash in a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I don’t think they deserve to be with Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry, and clearly I do. But stop and examine it, Howard-here’s the polarizing. So, the founder of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Jann Wenner, is one of the biggest donators to the Brady Gun Control campaign. I’m on the board of directors at the NRA, okay? Jann Wenner hates everything about me, and cannot, through the hate, see the music. That’s a shame."
So.......Fuck the RRHF.

Don walton - It's a total abomination that Ted Nugent, YES and The Moody Blues are not in the R&R HOF.
Jorge Coppen - I am a HUGE music fan and have been to Cleveland many times. I absolutely refuse to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Don walton i agree.
Jorge Coppen maybe every rock and roll fan should boycott RRHF. i'm going to.
Awesome
Best live performance of that song... there's even a Hendrix reference at 4:02
DAMN!!!!!!! Long Live Feedback! : )
Ted just goes absolutely apeshit on his guitar! God bless American and God bless Ted Nugent!

Wow this sounds better than the record
Last of the Motown Mohawks
MAKE AMERICA 🇺🇸 METAL AGAIN 🤘
Ted#1
Desde el minuto 7.. hasta el solo
Me sonaba a Patti Smith....🩸🪶🪶🪶 Pedazo tema.....🎸 Improvisación ..🎸
I always felt like he ripped that opening riff so fast just to show you he could.
Excellence!
Ted i half swede like that.
So badass
That is the most excellent by purport ion unknowingly Majestically executed, or is that a bad word now ? Ok.. Played..
1963 guild star fire 3.does the job.and other hollow body guitars have great sound as well.
The best part of Ted Nugent is when he's not talking.
That's another story. The Nugent , Eddie $ tour.
byrdland guitar - we can't even find one much less purchase one.
ya the son of bitch has every one of them! the bastard.
and yet he has enough to shoot arrows into
@@XMIR10C those are real brylands he shoots they are plywood replicas.
NEEDS MORE COW-BELL!
cool very cool
Wow, I never knew how much Zakk Wylde ripped from Ted.
They all ripped from Ted he’s a real life guitar hero🤘🏻
The more we listen to old school musicians the more rip off we hear
For example the Beatles has riffs that are directly ripped by nirvana
Another thing , ted seem to use chorus along with his distortions, and this is what Zak is doing,
It’s more of tone
2:41 great simple riff!
I don't know who said go big or go home, but uncle Ted must have!
rock on
His best
Benny Rappa
Nugent kicks ass
This is legendary! Todays's millenials have NOTHING to follow in raw, live, rock, loud music.
sorry Jimmy Ted rules!!
Bad ass!
Damn!!
🍾🍷🍺🍻
Show
Fantastic.Testosterone playing.
CRANK IT UPPPPP!
becoming Johnny Winter during bridge
AAAAaaahhh, YEaH!!!!
Please continuous loop 10:04 to 10:09 somebody. Thank you.
Gibson Byrdland : L-5CES ? or modified ? I'm guessing : Anybody know for sure ? The black one ; the white one ; the blond one ......... I don't know which one I like the best : I like them alllllll. ! Hell , I'd be happy with a sunburst one (vintage)............. I think Ted owns them all now ! Probably have to have one made from the Custom Shop at Gibson. Even if you took one of Ted's vintage Byrds with the best action and set up a new one just the same ; It wouldn't be the same ; I imagine.
1) Nugent; 2) Page; 3) Van Halen.
Ted, you are so interesting ⚔️😎⚔️🎸🇺🇸⚔️
If I wear that Indian headdress, can I play like that?
