During the slow chuggy riff that starts at 5:30, try a pull off, it captures the timing of how it is played just a little better, and comes off smoother.
I tried to pretend play this on bass the other night and needed a nap afterwards (I only know the easy parts). I don't know how you do it, but amazing job.
Hey man, I have some questions... How long did it take you to learn this song? And for how long had you been playing when you learned it? Great cover man, keep up the good work!
he never answered. as a lifelong bassist for decades i can tell you that if you want to learn nutty stuff like this, it just takes time. DT guys have spent their lives learning and practicing this stuff. maybe of them are rush fans and their songs arent nearly as hard as this, but it warmed them up. so start with rush, then progress to this but it really is just a ton of practicing to the point where the strings on the bass feel like nothing to you. takes time
@LivingForBass Ngearo is correct, that is the Yamaha RBXJM2 John Myung signature model, although it's not in production anymore since John Myung has left Yamaha and is now endorsed my Music Man, using their Bongo basses.
EnergijaNL At least in my experience people mostly say he's a good bass player which is true, but they don't talk about how innovative his style was for metal.
John Myung: the most under-rated bassist of ALL TIME!
One of best
Awesome! The solo section is one the most difficult bass part in DT songs (stamina-wise)
I can barely make it to the end of the guitar solo...
So damn true i can't take it , i still don"t get on it is playable ahah
I remember hearing the bass absolutely boom in this live version

The arpeggios are good, and that lick around the time of the intro was pretty good too, and your harmonics were fuckin phenomenal.
I could sit here all day! Nice work brother.
Thank you for uploading this! Amazing, amazing

That's pretty sick man, we'll done
@JoeyThe14th a six string bass has the normal four strings (EADG) a lower B and a higher C, the Five string bass has just a lower B
You can get those harmonics at the 16th fret, as well. Nice cover man!
