- Radio has been seeping trivia about The Cowsills for decades... I began to take a keen interest... Started to like them... A Lot... I wanted to see them... I really wanted to see and hear The Cowsills... Didn't know if that would ever happen... but I kept wondering about this infamous family band... off-the-hook... balls-to-the-wall tenacious... notoriously entertaining... Hmmm...
Then at 4:15 on Tuesday... I got a call from Tom Birch... We were putting a video deal together for his band... A License to Chill... playing in the Oakland Hills.... Tom said, "Oh, by the way, The Cowsills are playing at 7:30 tonight at Marin County Fair"...
A few minutes later, I've got my cameras packed... and I'm heading south down Highway Route 1... This could be one GREAT 4th of July 2017...
