That’s not true. Nascar is easier than f1. You can become a nascar driver in like 6 years or something. F1 drivers have to start at 6-7 and won’t even get into f1 until they are like 20. They also have to deal with higher gs
@@Graham_A NASCAR drivers start just as early as F1 drivers and don’t normally get into the cup series until they are around 20. NASCAR isn’t really easier too because your still sitting in a car that’s 120-140° for 3-4 hours and racing other drivers.

It's pretty much a case of Gearing as the lynchpin in which car is "Faster" as an IndyCar in oval Configuration objectively goes Faster but it's then a question of does IndyCars configuration for their Circuit races as sure you can gear a car for absolute top speed but acceleration to that speed may suffer horrifically, even still. IndyCars are a sight to behold during Indy 500 race day, 225mph+ wheel to wheel, it's undeniable the drivers have the skills for close racing
Ah f1 has never cracked 235 on a circuit. The fastest they've recorded in a race is 231 something at Monza back in 2005. Granted BAR did a top speed run out in the salt flats but that was with almost zero downforce. I think it got to like 260 or something?

Same with F1. Honda took an F1 car to Bonneville and hit a top speed of 257 mph on one run. Not only was that done on salt, but the car wasn't even turbocharged.

Indycar was on COTA about 10 seconds a lap slower than F1. F1 also is a tad more strict at track limits compared to IndyCar. But on an oval the F1 car is hopeless.

Indy aren't faster. It's all different due to how they do the race as they say in the video I suppose. Indy cars are meant to go the fastest around a flat out oval track. F1 cars are meant to carry the most speed through a varied and technical track that tests the drivers ability to keep the most momentum throughout and therefore the fastest time.
