Would be very surprised if this was NOT based on a true story. Too weird. I guess the guy who plays Ronnie is an actual Tai Quan Do master. He was supposed to train the original actor who, for some reason, didn't look the "athletic" type. I think it was Bill Hader who finally said, "the character has like two lines, and this guy looks like John Hamm. Let's just use him." 😂
This is where Hader starts directing.. and yeah his episode do feel different. Hes a film geek... Criterion channel kinda guy.. so his episodes feel a bit 'artier' than Alec Bergs. In the final season he directs every episode

Sometimes my friends and i just randomly yell "WHAT ARE YOUUUUU" hahahaha fantastic episode
Hahaha 😆
This is probably my favorite episode of the whole show. It's a dark action thriller comedy and this episode hits all those themes perfectly.
I have been waiting for you to get to this episode. It's one of my favs from the show. I hope your back feels better soon!
Hearing you say "that was such a shock, that last episode" at the start and knowing what was to come in this one hahaha
Hahah I couldn't even have guessed anything like this would happen 😂
Favorite episode. I think of it often. Like a quirky short film.
That's a good way to look at it!
The father also played one of the Upgraded Agents in the second two Matrix movies. Fantastic martial artist.
No way, that's awesome!
Epic Episode! Go Diana!

Wait, that's what actually happened? 😂
For a moment, I was trying to work out if it was actually Jon Hamm haha

The final season feels like Barry was having some sort of psychotic break.
Looking forward to seeing more from him!
He directed the 1st three episodes of S1 so not when he started
Bill hader directed this episode
Worst episode in every way possible. The good news is, it’s never this bad again.
