Tier ranking murder mysteries you’ve read ?? 🧐
every time I see heartstopper on your shelf 🥺💖🥰😘💞
the way i read and then there were none for the first time two days ago omg i was so prepared for this
I really liked And Then There Whlere None. I found the continuous murders really suspenseful instead of repetitive.
An Unwanted Guest sounds really good. Thanks for the recommendation
Yesss, I’m so glad you enjoyed An Unwanted Guest! I love when I don’t know who to trust in a mystery! And the ending made it a 5 star for me. Glad you really enjoyed at least one book 😂. One I would recommend is The Last Lie!
omg that last page I WAS GAGGED!!! and ooooh i havent heard of the last lie i will check it out!!
I’m sorry you’re feeling generally slumpy!🥺 your vids always help me get out of the slumpy moods! Sending productive and joyful vibes!💗
An Unwanted Guest sounds soooo good! Definitely need to pick it up asap!
Murder mysteries aren’t really my genre, so it means a lot when I say I particularly enjoyed this video! I agree with you - can’t imagine a murder mystery WITHOUT the little clues interspersed, where you learn the reveal and then it all comes together. What’s the point without that?!?
i honestly don't see enough mystery books recs or vlogs or anything so i am really glad i found your channel and that you did this vlog!!!
I do enjoy the Murder Most Unladylike Series by Robin Stevens which is murder mysteries set in the 1930s solved by 2 teen girls, although the best ones are First Class Murder and A Spoonful of Murder
Adult mystery, highly recommend Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz
No Exit by Taylor Adams isn't a murder mystery but it is by far my favorite thriller of all time. The snowy, isolated vibes are IMPECCABLE
You could probably to an entire snowy/blizzard themed mystery thriller video if you wanna get in a wintery mood! Five Total Strangers has the same theme and is incredibly tense
The BBC series of And Then There Were None was the best book adaptation ever so maybe you'd enjoy that more? 🌼
Some of my fave murder mysteries: Tye Ice Twins (Tremayne) - I read it one sitting! Also, more recently, The Family Upstairs was quite good.
I need this today thanks Meg xx
yayyyy!!! 💖💖💖
Loved the video and look forward to reading The Unwanted Guest. Fantastic editing as usual!!!
I’ve read pretty much everything of Agatha Christie’s: “And Then There Are None” is one of my least favourites 😄 So I absolutely agree with you.
I agree
I've been meaning to read An Unwanted Guest for ages but just haven't gotten round to it. I'm DEFINITELY going to read it now!
so glad you finally found one you enjoyed!!
I’m sorry you didn’t like the widows of Malabar hill! I enjoyed it, but I think I went into it knowing it was more of a historical fiction with mystery/thriller elements. The next book is a lot more murder mystery-esque but are also slow as hell.
If you’re looking for other murder mysteries by authors of color, I recommend the silence of bones by June hur! It takes place in 1800 Korea and it is WILD.
Not the same genre but if you're in the mood for this, you may enjoy Monday's Not Coming by Tiffany D. Jackson. I'm not a contemporary fan typically, but there's a mystery at the heart of this on top of so much to think about and Tiffany D. Jackson doesn't waste a single word, passing thoughts of characters have weight.
i keep thinking about reading that!! i have it saved on scribd so will hopefully get to it soon!!
I also loved, loved, loved Monday’s Not Coming!
I'm glad you enjoyed the last book and got over your slump!🥰
If you liked to do more videos like this, I would really recommend you to read "Dirty Fred, the Captain" by Jeno Rejto. ☺️ It's translated work. Jeno Rejto was a famous Hungarian writer who lived in the first half of the 20th century. His works are mostly comical crime stories. I haven't read his books yet but in Hungary everyone praises him!
Thank you if you read and answer this comment!🥰
Have a nice day✨
You should read a Good Girl's Guide to Murder! Great YA mystery, that definitely reads as adult
Hella side note: the meme from the most recent love island uk season made me hella happy because that season was my first ever and I loved all the people so much.
Personally my favorite standalone Christie novel is Crooked House. Doesn't get nearly as much attention as And Then There Were None but it's soooo good.
Your videos are always so entertaining 😄
Evelyn Hardcastle is so good! I recommend the audiobook (in addition to following along in the physical book with your eyes). It's a mindblowing book in the best way :o
Not the Zara meme😭😭
I love Agatha Christie but I don’t like and then there were none as well. So your not alone I differently like her books that have Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple as a base the most.
I immediately thought, I hope she reads Evelyn Hardcastle! Because it’s one of my favorites. And then you brought it out and I was so excited but then you didn’t read it and oh MAN you’ve got to read it! If you like a mystery where you’re following clues to figure out WTF is going on, it is THE book to read.
Although I am sad that you postponed Evelyn Hardcastle I am so happy that the book you chose made you more excited for reading!
FINALLY someone who has the same feelings toward And Then There Were None as I do! I finished that book feeling so irritated and disappointed.
You are reading my favourites with this one! I haven't read the Widows of Malabar Hill but if you like it I will check it out!
Loved this video, I have got some ones I definitely don’t recommend if that helps: Emma in the Night and One by One, Ones I recommend: Night Swim (i’m currently reading this) and The Turn of the Key 😊
Although in my memory I loved 'And then were none' but I remember hating the ending.
That thumbnail though 🔥
Is it bad I haven’t heard of some of these? 😅😂
hahah no!
A warning for some Agatha Christie books: read them in publication order because sometimes the later Poirot’s spoil earlier ones or stand-alone Christie novels spoil Poirot novels. Or check goodreads reviews to know which books need to be read prior to others.
My description of and then there were none was also 'meh'...I think some people just jumped on the Agatha Christie hype train when they say they loved this... 😏
💖💖💖
Wooooowwww I’m so surprised you didn’t like and then there were none,,,,, tell me what Agatha needed. All these criticisms are valid tho👀 “I’m here for murder mystery we’re not here for a romance” KNOW YOURSELF know your limits!! 💜💜 that candle tho!! Ayyyyyy we got a four star!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I feel so stupid to ask this but who is the blonde girl in some of the memes? I feel like I’m missing out on some good content lol
Glad you didn't read Evelyn Hardcastle because I think you would've hated it too 😆
I didnt like and there were none, i didnt care about any of the characters, it was just meh for me...
glad im not alone in not loving it!
Isn’t picking up on clues and trying to solve it on your own half the fun of a murder mystery? What’s the point if the author’s not going to drop hints?
