  • The second video in a series on Capture One Pro. This second video looks at working in sessions as a way to manage image files (as opposed to a catalogue). I discuss the advantages of session based editing, and briefly look at at import-export, basic keywording and finding your way around the C1 interface.
IMPORTANT NOTE... Capture One has been updated to v15.3.1.15 since recording this video. the biggest visual change is that the 'default' workspace looks a little different, but overall the the workflow is identical. If you want to keep the same 'look' as the older C1, simply head to Window-Workspace - Default (Legacy) and it will look identical to the version used in the video.

@@emilvonmaltitz Awesome thanks. Could you kindly share your folder naming convention. Looks like you use YYMM-DD-Sequence-Location? Can I ask what the sequence number is for when naming folders?

Great video! But if I want to bring my Lightroom photos to Capture One, how would you do it as a session or a catalog?

Either. My preference is towards using Sessions, but if you like the LR way of doing things you can opt for the Catalogue instead. I’ll look at doing a video on how to switch catalogues in the future.

Great video, you are so easy to follow, BUT YOU AND SO MANY OTHER TUTORS that I have watched, keep the video/words on Capt1. screen SO blurry, it becomes a guessing game which is frustrating if we are trying to copy your method to get started.

It might be the buffering on RUclips. Not the original video. RUclips reduces the quality of the video feed based on the viewer’s download line. I upload files in UHD, so they should he perfectly clear so long as the viewer has enough bandwidth to watch them. A solution might be to let the video buffer, and then watch them. Or you can try and reduce the resolution output and see if that improves things
