Dude, you genuinely look like you're in your 20s!! Awesome job in keeping up your health to the high standards you hold yourself to You've been an inspiration in lifting, and my first ever youtube channel I started following and learning about lifting 12 years ago. Nothing but respect and admiration for you, dude Keep doing what you do, and keep being yourself, and keep being awesome!
Happy Birthday Scott! I’ve been watching your channel for 8 years now. I took a fitness & nutrition class in college around the same time I found your channel. 👍🏻💪
Happy upcoming Birthday legend! You’re a pillar of this space and it’s been great to watch you grow and mature over the years. I’ve been following your channel since you started and I was 40 then. I still train consistently and feel forever youthful largely thanks to yourself:)
Scott Happy 40th birthday sir (You still look 25!) And you're 100% right. I used Scott's videos many years ago to help with form and learn how to exercise safely! I loved how you broken down the moment and explained in details. No ego lifting, just good honest advice, this is why Scott is the GOAT of fitness and RUclips!
Scott, you'll be 40???🫠 I've been watching you since I was in high school!! That's crazy how time flies! I was 16 when I started following you and your workout tips and I'm now 29 going to push 30 soon and I'm still using your workout tips to this day! I'm in the Air Force and have been in for almost 11 years and I speak on behalf of your followers when I say THANK YOU! You have helped me achieve not only my fitness goals but also help me crush my fitness levels in the military still! Please keep it up, Scott! We all love it!!
Thank you Scott for always being honest and helping us build the foundation for chasing our goal physiques naturally. You were the fist RUclipsr I ever watched, dating back in my freshman year of college. 8 years later and you still educate and motivate me with each video. Never any fluff, all facts. God bless brother.
Happy birthday Scott. I turned 41 a week ago. I still feel young and don't look anywhere near my age either. Still a full head of hair and no grays! However, now you're making me feel old. I can't believe I've been listening to you for close to a decade now. Keep up the great work!
I am 42 and started watching you in my late 20s. I credit your earlier videos for teaching me how to lift when I made the step to start going to the gym more often. And you are still going strong. You are the GOAT
Crazy how I started my fitness journey with this man when I was 14, now I’m 20 and the results are insane. Consistency is key, you’re looking amazing Scott. Much love
Happy early birthday Scott 🎉 always enjoy watching your videos, my favorites are the old boxing ones you did and the no excuses ones. I haven't been to the gym in a few years already but I have been doing some kickboxing with my Bob Versys and doing alot of ground to shoulder heavy sandbag carries and kettlebell deadlift to overhead press single arm.
Thanks Scott! Been watching you since I was in high school, just turned 27 in September! Always love checking out your new videos and always appreciate your advice and wisdom!
Started watching you so long ago when I was literally in high school. Next month I'm going to graduate and it feels, well, strange. Also going to start working out from next month as I'll finally get some time for myself. Anyway happy birthday man. You still look the same as you did when I first subscribed😉
Congratulations on graduating! When you make fitness a part of your lifestyle and keep your training simple, you will always have time for it! Have a great rest of the week!
Looking great for 40 brotha! Been watching your vids for over 10 years now. Always kept it real and always had the viewers interests at heart. The algorithm has been unfair to you but keep doing what you’re doing. You’ve helped countless people on their fitness journeys 👊
This is awesome! I swear I never gave a damn about concentration curls. They were so big back in the day i used to argue with my friends about it. Good stuff bro!
👋Hey Scott... always great to catch your vids!!! Happy early Birthday bro wish you a great one and many more!!! Thanks for keeping it real and bringing us the best info my friend.... and hope your Gaming and Crypto side is going good for you as well!!!!💪
Always keeping it real fam!! And it’s going great thanks for asking! Got our global launch of WAGMI coming in the next couple of months.. it’s gonna be HUGE!!!
Man! Time passed tooo fast I was 14 when I started watching your videos, used to binge watch them whole night pretending to be asleep when my parents used to checkin on me in the night. Aahh those days.. now watching you after a very long time scott. Thank you for everything you have done for the community. I will never forget the thrill when you used to reply on my comment I was so overwhelmed with joy cannot explain in words now 😅 Thanks! And congratulations!

I’m gonna be 30 next year, a lot people say I only look around 24-25. One of the first channels I started watching when getting into fitness and lifting. Happy birthday Scott 🙌🏼
Hi Scott, this was an informative video like always. Nah I'm not buying it you don't look like you will be 40 you look 20 yrs younger bro. Happy birthday for Friday man. Have a good one. Thanks for this video and it's great to have you back. Definitely my favourite youtube training channel and congratulations on all your success so far. You always inspire and help me. Much respect.

Just found your channel after looking into smith machines (I know I know the ultimate lifting sin lol) and finding your video on proper smith bench press. I’m 36 and haven’t been lifting long but have a shoulder injury (hence the smith machine). Been going through your channel and I’m so glad I found your tips!
Welcome back brother. Im glad to see ur still doing alright. I heard about the hurricane that was happening where ur at. I hope u and ur family r doing alright out there and stay safe. Anyway I hope u have a happy birthday this year brother and the news I was going to tell u by mail I rather tell u anyway. I'm going to Florida on the last Wednesday of Jan. I hope i can meet u in person when that day is here. Love u deeply Brody and stay safe out there
hey Jonti! Yes we were very lucky and only had to deal with minor clean-up. Others not so much though. So happy to hear you are doing well! Thank you for the birthday wishes and you are going to love visiting Florida! I hope you are going to the parks!
@ScottHermanFitness im going to Disneyland on Saturday and I'm going to be 40 mins away from there. I hope when I get there we can meet each other and start a friendship
Bro here's a recommendation, why don't you collab with some creators, that would wildly increase your channel growth.. also work a little bit on thumbnails and video titles these are outdated. I wish you all the best.. Keep up the great work bro!!!
Hi Scott question. I work out 3 hours M-F sometimes Saturdays. I just want to know it it's okay to work two muscle groups in each work out. For example Monday and Thursday I first do chest then after I am done witch chest I workout the shoulders. Tuesday and Fridays I first workout my back then after I am done with back I star working out biceps and triceps. Wednesday and Saturdays I only work my legs. Any advice will be highly appreciated. People tell me that three hours is alot but some of them don't even workout so I would like to hear your opinion. Just as an FYI I used to weight 260lbs now I only weight 200lbs including muscle weight.
Congrats on the weight loss first of all man! Amazing work!! Training two or more muscle groups in a session is totally fine. I would say 3 hours is a stretch though, even for multiple muscle groups. Should be 2 hours max. How long are you resting between sets?
Thanks Scott! I am resting between 2 to 6 minutes depending how heavy I go. If I go heavy on flat bench then I rest 6 minutes when I do incline and decline I don't go too heavy so I rest two minutes.
Scott can I ask… is it in general a waste of time to do one arm at a time for bicep exercises? I feel like hammer curls with alternating arms just takes longer but leads to no more gains. I know you can rest each arm slightly longer, so you can lift more, but does reduced time under tension mean less gains? Do you know what I mean?
It’s totally fine doing one arm at a time! Can be good to end your set - do both arms simultaneously and then switch to single arm to finish and grind out a few more reps 💪🏻
You said at the end of the video you want content suggestions; well, I still want full-length workouts. If you have time to make and edit lecture videos, you have time to workout and film yourself. If in case you do, please do it shirtless. If you don't make content by Friday, happy 40th birthday. Make it a better day than when you turned 30. Lastly, that Best Buy job I told you about in your last video comment section, is almost mine. I'm just waiting for the general manager to reply this week. The interview last Friday went very well; not nervous at all, answered all the questions, told him about my Asperger's with a confirmation letter from social security to prove it. He sounded like a manager I would like to have a beer with some day.
I’m hoping once WAGMI releases I’ll have more time for more fitness content - which might mean more workouts! We’ll see! Thank you for the birthday wishes and I hope you get that job man! Fingers crossed for you!
Reverse grip triceps pulldown - I do this single arm which allows the arm to go behind the body. Nothing gives me activation more than this. Real cramping feeling in the muscle after just a few reps of these.
Hi scott, you still look late 20s!! i came across one of your old videos on RUclips. To my amazement, you were actually doing a plate press claiming it hits your inner pecs. I thought that was going to be on this list. To be fair, it was a very old video, but im sure now you realise it's a useless exercise .
Unrelated to the video: Can you stream yourself playing the new Dragon Ball game? I seem to remember you saying in a video a while back that you’re a huge dragon ball fan. Apologies if I’m mistaken.
Zottman curls are OK! Not my preferred choice but they work. Definitely different to what I was talking about here. A Zottman curl would enable you to have a heavier eccentric on that pronated grip / reverse grip
40? You could say you are in your mid 20s and noone would ask twice! I wish i look half as good as you in my 40th birthday. Been watching since 2011, fantastic content as always! Keep it up!!!
@@ScottHermanFitness I wish I felt the same way. I made some huge life changes recently. I thought I would feel better. Basically, I'm not getting the end result that I want. This happens every time I set a goal and try to complete it. I feel like I'm just running on fumes. I don't understand how I'm still on this planet. I guess I can just keep living vicariously through other people whose lives are better.
Believe it or not the best bench press for hypertrophy if you want a fast workout without isolating every muscle separate is the kettlebell bench press the way the gravity works with their center of mass when you go down and up you go in the same time out and in almost like a fly and it's a lot more safer just be sure they fit in your arm inside the handle its better if you have or your gym have competition kettlebell s they're made to fit 98% of the hands.
I disagree, when I just do presses for my chest I can see imbalance with my outer chest outgrowing the inner side a lot and looking just ugly, I guess it may be largely due to genetics but only when I added crossing movements I can see it getting more aesthetic even growth
It's ok to outgrow an exercise. Whether it's because you're getting stronger or just continuing on your fitness journey, there are exercises that at some point will be replaced by better ones.

@@ScottHermanFitness Awesome! I just subbed to your gaming channel. I look forward to watching you play!
10:20 So are zottman curls bad?
Zottman curls are OK! Not my preferred choice but they work. Definitely different to what I was talking about here. A Zottman curl would enable you to have a heavier eccentric on that pronated grip / reverse grip
2010 fan dude
Appreciate you 🙏🏻💪🏻
Turned 46 on the 12th and there are so many movies I can no longer do
You look great for 40 bro!
Thanks very much Josh!
40? You could say you are in your mid 20s and noone would ask twice! I wish i look half as good as you in my 40th birthday. Been watching since 2011, fantastic content as always! Keep it up!!!
Been following this channel for a good 7 or 8 years. Maybe even 9 I don’t know anymore 😂
I just turned 40 this past Sunday. Don't feel great about it.
Age is just a number man - make these years the best yet!
I feel lucky with my old trainer. He was more like you when it came to targeted workouts lol.
Looking well for a nearly 40 year old
Thank you! 😁
Dang Scott, you don't even look a day passed 30.
You’re too kind my friend 🤗
Believe it or not the best bench press for hypertrophy if you want a fast workout without isolating every muscle separate is the kettlebell bench press the way the gravity works with their center of mass when you go down and up you go in the same time out and in almost like a fly and it's a lot more safer just be sure they fit in your arm inside the handle its better if you have or your gym have competition kettlebell s they're made to fit 98% of the hands.
Libra ❤
LFGOOOO 🔥
Science based fitness community is better. Scott fell off
I disagree, when I just do presses for my chest I can see imbalance with my outer chest outgrowing the inner side a lot and looking just ugly, I guess it may be largely due to genetics but only when I added crossing movements I can see it getting more aesthetic even growth
I was watching you when you were 25 lol
Man you have been here since the beginning!! Hell yeah!
I find it mental that you're 40. You look at best late 20s😂
Bulgarian split squats are a spawn of the deviI
you are not wrong! haha
