Hi, novi. Thanks for your effort. I just came back from Bali and I like Ayan betutu very much. I am going to prepare ayam betutu by myself. I am a Myanmar but currently living in Thailand. Here in Thailand, nutmeg and candlenut can find but Salam leaf and Balinese long pepper are difficult to find. Could you please tell me which one I can use instead of those. Thank you again.

This is played on a bamboo gamelan we use for practise and teaching in our village, it’s a sound I have grown up with and love it for being so authentically Balinese. Sorry but I don’t know of any commercial recordings available.

Hi there thank you, for Bali long pepper you can substitute with 1/4 tsp black pepper corn, and you can skip the salam leaf , happy cooking 🙏🏽😊
