- I've been working on this song for years, thanks to a blistering cover by Julia Adamy that I came across a few years ago. The key bass work by the legendary Greg Phillingaines is inspiring and is like its own song going on in the background.
I'm using my Spector Ethos 4 through a MXR Bass Octave Deluxe and my Noble Bass Pre.
I use this clip as a benchmark of superb left-hand technique for my students. Absolutely top notch stuff - as the whole performance as well of course. Thanks big time!
Every time I'm watching this I get more amazed!
That's what I call a singing bass. Fantastic!
Omg, earning legend status, Amos! Incredible, wow. And this version of the Beatles tune?!?! It’s been missing from my musical life. Putting this on repeat:) Y’all doing alright? Happy 8•9 Day! 🫶🏻
CLEAN.
thanks!
Love to see you transcend playing. I love that about playing
God, I love that bass
Thanks me too! Sometimes I just stare at it...
KING WE LOVE YOU
Oh so good Amos! You play a PJ with Taylor too. Any insight on your settings? Do you favor the neck pick up?
Sensational rendition. Everything is on point! 🔥🔥
I remain in awe of your playing. But this......oh lordy. How do you remember every little inflection and nuance of that unbelievable line? Hats off to you sir.
LOTS of reps
Perfection!
Sounds absolutely mean ! Super tight playing.
A perfect blend of support and lead throughout. Love it!
You have a great bass style. This was great, but I especially like the stuff I think you came up with yourself as well.
Thanks!
That was killer!
❤
Killer work! That suboctave tone reminds me of my favorite pop baseline - the bridge section of Like a Prayer.
The Prattster at work! Thanks!
Great playing on this cover! Great tone and groove! Nice Amos! 👏
Superb playing as always. Listening to this and enjoying the start of the weekend 👌
Awesome! Thanks
Great cover Amos. The somewhat subdued octave sounds great. I'm really impressed with the squiggles you did with your pinky. I struggle with using any finger let alone that one.
Yeah that’s the Verdine White Waggle. It’ll turbocharge your callous production
Great job. New sub. Keep rocking it.
Yes sir!
Here’s the truth that everyone musician should take note of > quote “I have been working on this song for years” unquote. Thank you Amos for your point on videos at all times!
Killing it
Phenomenal playing! Love your videos. Curious to know: what in-ear monitors do you use?
Thanks! These are Ultimate Ears
Amos, almost ready to buy a Stingray Special dual humbucker, excellent bass. Have you played Cole Clark basses, an Australian mob. I bought an Angel 1, acoustic with bridge humbucker, very nice. Interested in your feedback. The Stingrays always sound good, hard to go past, cost is about the same. Ta.
Awesome cover!
Are you happy with the Noble preamp?
You rocked me Chaka Khan... Well done on the tasty, tasty cover! The funk is strong with you for sure. What flavor octave pedal are you using?
MXR Bass Octave Deluxe, Noble Preamp
@@thejoetandy Note to self... Expand and read the description before asking lol.
Impressive - the blind bassman
Go go Amos! I feel a little bit of the P-Funk there. :)
The coolest bit of this track is where the keyboard bass (moog?) goes out of tune on the record at about 1:42. I’ve transcribed this and you are note for note. Great playing!
Thanks!!
pocket baby..!!
Ethos video inbound? :-)
Do we need one? I mean, I’m not opposed and I love this bass…
@@AmosHeller There is always a need for more bass content on YT :-)
💥👍🤙
It seemed to me, Ben Stiller playing bass 😅😅😅
Toight!
