What if I have an extra wire.(yellow color)in the case of prefix premium s.o.s.I just have the preamp but missing the endpin jack.to follow as was.thank you
Great video, Edwin! I wondered if the endpin jack you used is mono or stereo? How would the wiring/function be different if the jack were mono vs. stereo for an application like this? Thanks!
Thanks. The jack I used is stereo (TRS) but it is designed for mono plug. The Tip is hot line, while Ring and Sleeve are used for switching the preamp of the guitar. Since the plug is mono, once you plug-in, it will short the ring and sleeve thereby turning on the preamp. Thus, never leave the plug attached to the guitar as it will drain the 9V battery of the guitar preamp. I hope this helps.

Hello sir, is the wiring process the same for a passive pickup?
for passive pickup, you normally just need two wire connections to the audio jack.
My Humbucking pick up only has 2 wires, not 3. So solder to the middle terminals only, right?
I would suggest that you check where the jack terminals are being connected to the socket when you plug it in to be sure.

Better call my local shop. They might have a display model available.😄
Was so hopeful watching this video but you can’t even see where the solder is placed.
thanks for the feedback
