I live alone and shop at Aldi and feed myself for the week with a £15 budget, and eat quite well on this budget. You just have to be savvy and plan your meals ahead.
To thicken up porridge you need to vigorously stir it for a good minute, it makes the water and oats properly combine together and become a lot more creamy
My method of a perfect pizza from frozen. Defrost pizza in packaging at room temp. Remove from box & remove plastic from the bottom. Brush cooking oil on the bottom, flip & fully remove plastic & shake oil over top with loaded oil brush. Sprinkle top with seasoning Place on wire shelf of a preheated oven & cook for 6-8 minutes.
My mum always buys big packs of vegetable spring rolls from Iceland as it’s one of my safe foods and I love to snack on them in the middle of the night 😅
Love the Iceland shop and always go in to check things out when I visit the UK from Oz🇦🇺 The shop carries a good selection of frozen food as well as fruit, bread and milk. Enjoyed the video ✔️
Yeah I saw! But unfortunately for this, everything was £1 or over, bags of onions and bananas etc. - no singles! I defo feel there’s more to be done in Iceland for this channel now though!
I buy that sweet and sour chicken from Iceland a lot and love the idea of putting extra veg through it. (PS I managed to get about 7 dinners worth of stuff for a fiver using the £1 freezers today....and not all ready meals either!)
I like Iceland a lot, it does a lot right for me at the moment. The new pound range is really good, I love the lamb and mint pies more than any I ever had. My son loves the chicken and bacon one and the penne pasta in a bag. The sweet and sour meal you had I microwave when I have it, the chickens fine then, and the veg pizza in the same range as that abomination you had ( Pineapple defo doesn't belong on pizza lol) is packed with veg. In this world of high costs we sure don't want to live off ready meals or processed but they are super useful and affordable on a day where times limited.. I love Iceland lately.
Lost me at Ham and Pineapple, it's sacrelage of the highest order 😂. Enjoyy these types of videos though it's good places like Aldi, Lidl and yes Iceland exist
I loooove that porridge😂 When we were in London for Christmas holidays with my partner that’s what we ate every morning to avoid paying at expensive coffee shops for breakfast! You need to make sure the water is up to the line, then stir and then let it sit! If you don’t let it sit for 2 mins (covered) then it will be gooey and watery!
Hahahaha I thought you meant actual Iceland 😂 I thought, 😳 there is no way that boy is getting anything from Iceland for five pounds. Cuz, you know, Scandinavia. lol. I’m Canadian and know nothing. Have a great weekend my friend 😉
Re the porridge - those bowls or even the sachets never fill you up ir you're hungry again v quickly after. I now much prefer loose jumbo porridge oats only thing is they take a fair bit longer to cook, but they are also better for your blood sugar.
Iv fryed up tinned potatoes they turn out nice so I guess all will I didn't have much luck frying canned mushroom tho they didn't caremelise or crisp up
New sub here why haven't i found you earlier 😢😢 Great content i love this kinda of stuff. Keep up the great work Have you considered a TOO GOOD TO GO SERIES ? I think it would be amazing
back when the chicargo town pizzas that where just a quid when they had the disk thing in them they where great but now it does not have one in them even if you can get them for a quid make them in the oven the base cooks before the top and nukem and the top goes molten before the base has cooked
Iceland / Food Warehouse are the most deceptive of all the big chains. Their range is great and there is real value to be had, but some products are wildly expensive compared to their competitors meaning you really have to do your homework. They are not competitive across the board in the way Aldi/Lidl are, and i suspect this is how they juice their profits. Still, love their chicken strips!
Iceland virgin no more!!! 😂... Iceland do some great stuff but be careful with the tinned, Jared, packet foods cause they are more expensive than a lot of other shops, probably because they are all brand names... Defo like to see the high street brands (Greg's, tgi etc) in their own vids... I've had Iceland Greg's stuff before and they are smashing but always wondered about the others.. Obviously more expensive than Iceland own so can't always justify spending the extra money... Keep up the excellent work... Sending love and best wishes from Nottingham... Xxx
Enjoying your videos, thanks for posting them. I do like how adamant you were about having pineapple on a pizza! Hahaha “If you don’t like pineapple on pizza , you are wrong!” 😂😂😂😂😂
Hi...just found the channel.....in Jan/2020 I shopped in another well known frozen super market...bought the same stuff twice a month for my breakfast ....3 packs of bacon was £5.00...3 packs lorne sausage was £3.00 .....2 packs of eggs was £2.00...total£10.00.....Jan.2024 the same stuff will cost me over £20.00....BUT MY PENSION HAS NOT GONE UP BY THE PERCENTAGE..so much for the rich pensioner we keep hearing about on tv .......
how the fk can u buy so much for so little, i wish Australia had shops like that... we use to but they werent grocery shops, they were little nick nacks like toys and sht that would get tossed 2 weeks later..

😂not 'create food poisoning' that's witchcraft 😂 it can though provide a suitable environment when defrosted for the bacteria already in the product to multiply to a level that's harmful. When you re freeze the ice cream with the additional levels of bacteria in it the next time it melts is in your stomach giving it a nice wet, warm environment to let you know it was a bad idea👍
Not at all true, you just need to look at what you're buying. I'll often go to Iceland, Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrison's as certain places sell things others don't or others have the better deal at the time. It's called being smart about things and doing your research/meal planning ahead of going out to shop 😊
There’s barely any ever cheese on those frozen pizzas lol they defo saving money hahahah and yea pineapple on pizza slaps, people need to grow up it makes sense.
I have been a chef for over 20 years and I CAN TELL YOU pineapple DOES NOT belong on a pizza, pizza should be pasata sauce, a little cheese and basil..
Not necessarily junk food but certainly lacking in nutrients. Which pretty much sums up Iceland. Last time I went there I was bemused to see there were 7 or 8 freezers of frozen pizzas, and just one of vegetables lol. I was looking for some battered fish fillets and thought I found some, but when I cooked them I realised they were not fillets but re-formed pieces made from offcuts, not very nice, just because they end up dry despite being in batter. For less I could have bought hake fillets from Lidl and battered them myself, which is always delicious.
30p for a bag And here I was thinking bags were free for the English.. English customers always reach over the till and take them without asking and/or paying 🤣

You are definitely not a qualified chef full stop.
No one should follow your 'Maggie's let alone yourself!
Great tips 👍 thanks will use this method from now on 😊

Have you tried the Mayflower curry sauce powder from Iceland? If not, I recommend it. Love some curry chips.

All that processed food will kill you.
@@elih9700 Don't be silly., all things in moderation
cheaper to eat shite than healthy food is the worry.
@elih9700 so does living eventually
The £1 range chips and balti slices are amazing 🤩 vegan too 😊
Thank you Sam I think your getting more creative in these challenges I hope Riley is ok I see there is a collar on her /him.x

Maybe a box of matches cost around a fiver.

Try heron foods
Superb quirky products , unbelievable prices
You will be impressed by what yiu can get for £5
If you stick the porridge in the microwave for 30 40 seconds it will absorb the water and the porridge will be softer to
Brocolli is such an elite vegtable idk how people dont like it
Thanks for the idea frying up the canned veg, never thought of that.
Iv fryed up tinned potatoes they turn out nice so I guess all will I didn't have much luck frying canned mushroom tho they didn't caremelise or crisp up
Probably too much moisture absorbed in the mushrooms
The addition of the vegetables to the Sweet and Sour Chicken was essential. It was verging on nutritious.😉
I know the Maidstone Icelands when I see it! What a throwback to my hometown haha
I would love to have an Iceland here in the US. Good video
I’m definitely going to be going there more!
Yes I bet as the food there is so expensive to here,. Many of my friends are there, you get the great accents we get the cheap food :D

Why don't you have more subscribers? I'm befuddled.

Probably because he likes pineapple on pizza which is psychopathic.
