If you take the villagers crops, but sell them back to the villagers, they are just paying you for your labor.
Which is actually helping them out a lot because of how long it takes for them to farm, versus how quick the player can.

When Branzy said "Indecent exposure" a pop-up ad popped up on my screen which perfectly covered Branzy's "Indecent exposure" skin XD
Also, when the Allay threw the carrot on the ground, technically that's not littering because it will decompose and make new, fertile soil. If it was something like a saddle or bell, that would be littering because that's damaging the earth. So the Allay was just helping the soil so all of the crops in the village can grow better.
Also it's animal, so it can't really commit crimes.
