Thanks! It has really transformed this watch into something completely different, I can now dress it up with leather or dress it down with nato or the metal strap. The polished case makes it more unique compared to other SNK809s so win win for me.
Great video man! Really enjoyed the style and way you talked about your watch,. The SNK was my first auto watch and this is inspiring me to modify mine as well. You really took it to a whole different level! Earned my sub
I like both the sand blasted look and the polished look ,if anything I feel like getting a 2nd one just so I can have the sand blasted look as well. This is really only possible because of how cheap it is in the context of things.
I have mod my snk809 to doxa sub 300t dial, so i should called it reduce soxa it look nice and i love it, also have polish the case to look similar like yours cheers nice watch 😁

Unfortunately, the SNK809 has really bad Lume, not specifically because the lume used is bad, but the amount used is very little. its just a tiny dot which means there isnt much you can do unless you wish to take the dial and and paint extra lume on which I wouldn't recommend.
100% looks like a completely different watch after the polish, having said that, the bead blasted case isn't too bad neither. Only thing I wish I did is to change the movement to a NH36, I really want the hand winding action lol
@@TheChirpyPanda I have also been thinking about swapping the hands out with the same ones but from the beige version or some replica iwc pilot watch hands that have the patina. I also feel like a brushed look would suit this watch the best much like the iwc pilot. I haven't thought about changing out the movement yet.
Hey I just went into an AD today and briefly looked at the new cartier models, not that id ever buy cartier, but I noticed all of the clasps on cartiers look just like your clasp and the sales woman told me it was a cartier thing. Im very curious where you got that clasp
The clasp? Do you mean the original steel bracelet or the nato? The original steel bracelet that came with the SNK809 is just a simple pressed clasp, it's definitely not an exclusive Cartier thing. Is this what you were referring to or the clasp on the perlon strap? Either way, none of them would be an exclusive clasp for Cartier.
@@TheChirpyPanda I bought one thats 30mm but im not sure what thickness I need to buy. The one I got is 30mm x 1.2mm i think oem is 1.1 will this still work?
What an awesome looking watch. The mod and the leather strap has made it something special. Great video. Great presentation.

@@TheChirpyPandacool. Just bought one with your amazon link. Thinking of polishing it myself or get that mod guy to replicate what he did to yours.
Yeh 100% worth the upgrade. If anything, wear it for a few weeks first, get it modded then it will be like a new watch.

I purchased mine because I like the sand blasted finish. But I must say that yours looks very nice polished.
👍

Great video, ¿is it possible to fit a NH35 or NH36 in a snk sleeve?, I only ask because 37 mm is the perfect fit for me.
Looks amazing!
Beautiful mod 🤙

How much did this mod cost?

My watch lume is very light. How can i do?

Cool
Good vídeo
God I want to get mine polished. I have it on a brown cordovan strap. Only makes it right.

Yeh, I love the old school patina style paint / lume, brushed would also look cool. If you do it drop me a message, would love to see photos!

You put everything in the description except the saphire crystal.
What’s the size of the crystal?
I think it is 30mm, but you can search snk809 crystal and should be able to pick one up online
@@TheChirpyPanda I bought one thats 30mm but im not sure what thickness I need to buy. The one I got is 30mm x 1.2mm i think oem is 1.1 will this still work?
I believe it should as it'll just stand slightly proud, the thickness is less important comparative to the diameter.
@@TheChirpyPanda thank you very much for your reply and insight my friend. Cheers
Hold the freekin watch still so we can rest our eyes on it ffs
