I really don't understand how someone can sleep at night after killing another human being
Agree and in this case, his neighbors - he knew them. His mother knew them and still helped conceal evidence. Horrible.
The difference between a normal person and a psychopath...
Most likely a psycopath, or at least some anti personality traits.

Cold hearted
I think we should stop saying this is not something that happens in our neighbourhood/town/city.
It can happen anywhere and to anyone. We need to admit that if we are to keep ourselves safe.
they’re just saying it isn’t a violent area and it doesn’t happen as much as it does in other places
---I think it comes from the denial of reality that bad things happen everywhere, to good and bad people. The ‘We never even lock our doors’ the harder thing to hear. I was a kid in the 60’s and the doors were locked......the scary people lived inside the house anyway.
Or dont be that person that "lights up a room" because they are usually the first to go.
@@eviehammond9509 Beautiful, the life of the party, everybody loved.

What is your opinion of Scott?
did you know the fool who killed them?
1017-Please, for safety's sake...could you please tell us a bit more about your own personal observations and/or experiences with the killer(s)? The two questions above mine? Perhaps there's information to be gleaned as a potential red flag, so to speak for the rest of us.

“ last thing he did on earth as he was dying was trying to save his wife” oh god why..... its so sad
It just shows how good, selfless, and pure hearted people the Villardo's were, that their last act on earth was their love for each other💓.
Where as the vile murderer and his mother (who IMO should also be in jail) they decided to murder, conceal, lie and run with no remorse for the devastation they caused 😠 their judgement day will come. 🔱

He died being a man. If only we could all be so lucky.
Scott's mom seems to have been an enabler to her son's deeds if she was brave enough to throw away evidence

This case really bothers me. I wish nothing but terrifying days in prison for Scott. His Mom should have been in trouble too!
if the son did do it, all I can say is from here on he will know the people that cared for him the most is gone.
His mother enabled him. I find supporting. over the age of 21 & still living with parents & their mothers coddling them ( which emasculated them)...usually end up with criminal records & on drugs. Parents need to allow their adult sons to grow up & move out of their homes, get a job & become Self supportimg.
Be very cautious if you have neighbors with adult sons who are still living at home & being financially supported by their parents. Mentally stable adults leave.their parents home to start their own careers & families.
@@phyllisburris7093 You are exactly right cuz coddled sons usually end up nowhere in life.
"It all happened so fast." Um, no it didn't. They had multiple stab wounds. The mom was nearly decapitated.
Good grief, we can't trust anyone, not even a long-time neighbor 🤦♀️ Also, why did they cut a deal with the POS mother? They had more than enough evidence against the son. She should've been charged.

Knowing his parents continued on with the cruise after the arrest speaks volumes about their family dynamic. Gives some insight as to how he could callously commit these crimes. RIP Dick & Jody❤️
It’s sickening that the mother got away with disposing of evidence. She didn’t end up testifying so the plea deal should have been void.

I’m always impressed by Montgomery county state’s attorney John McCartney and the homicide section. I recognize the interrogator’s voice from the Katrina Ben and Brittany Norwood cases. Excellent detective work, as always!
Montgomery County is well-supported financially; it can afford to hire the best prosecutors. What a creep this kid is! He was likely to have had repeated problems in school, and his mother may have excused his aggressive behavior for years.

How the hell can you do this to human beings??
It baffles me how that guy and his mother have total disregard for their neighbors lives. Pardon my language, you'd have to be a total piece of shit to think that way. I believe the daughter at the end when she says they would have helped him if he needed it. To be honest, it wasn't about getting fast cash for a needy situation. He and his mother are just pure evil. So sorry this happened.
Wow. The mother didn’t receive any punishment....... Not even a fine or probation.... Just wow. How????!!
Those kids finding their parents. Omg. I cannot even fathom the terror!
The most horrifying one is the daughter who found her mother ON FIRE in her basement. It's another case true crime daily covered. The one about not fixing grandma's roof... Just be prepared for the most haunting 911 call you've ever heard.
if the evidence was so overwhelming why did they need the mom to testify. Lock her up
Yes, they need to charge her for accessory to murder since he pleaded guilty and the prosecution didn't need to have her testify. Why isn't she at least on probation?? She need to have a criminal record for doing such an obviously bad job of raising her kids.
Sad and horrific no one deserves to die this way. 🕊🕊
I personally know their daughter, words can't begin to describe how horrific this was and still is. ☹
Who would kill two people probably was the worst day for daughter finding both her parents murdered.

And so the moral of the story is: if an old timer experienced cop gives you advice, take it!
Everyone thinks psychopaths are rare, or have to be these larger than life personalities, they're actually somewhat common, and becoming more so because of our culture.
I don’t think it has much to do with culture; it’s linked to brain trauma, child abuse/traumatic experiences, & genetic factors. Why do you think it’s about culture?
PS, psychopathy/ASPD has a prevalence of 1% of the population, which is rare.
@@nachtegaelw5389 I'm no expert but I do think it might have to do something with culture...in Asia and stuff the amount of psychopaths are very considerably low compared to the west...which In turn might have to do with most kids having been raised with both parents in a healthy environment and somewhat stringent rules, no partying, drinking , relationship and stuff...just an observation, I cud be totally wrong✋
@@leoscamander7805 interesting, I’ve never heard that. Could you share your source so I could learn more?
If by psychopaths you mean people formally diagnosed with ASPD, the rates could depend on how prevalent mental health treatment is in different countries. (Ie, if few people ever go to a psychiatrist, there is a lower chance of people being clinically diagnosed than in places where psychiatric care is more common)
@@leoscamander7805 Oh right in Asia and stuff there’s less? Are you sure about that? A lot of countries in Asia are still developing, have corrupt police and court systems. Often times theres cases of brutal murders and rapes we never ever hear about because it’s not reported, corrupt officials bury it, or we just don’t pay attention to foreign news. I know this to be the case in India and Pakistan, and likely in many other Asian countries. Quit being so naive.
Just look at how thousands rioted, looted and shot cops last year because of an atrocity that had nothing to do with them personally- yet took it upon themselves to act like it did
That’s sociopath behavior...! And it’s rampant in our society and it’s enabled by people who think they are standing up or doing the right thing with wrongs- when they aren’t...! Same things parents do with their kids by enabling bad behavior and not stopping it or calling it out. It’s exactly the same. We enable bad behavior everywhere in the USA - unsolved murders alone up 30% since last year...criminals released from prison because of covid (their safety more important than behaved individuals). America is becoming more unsafe every day...when you say defund the police I say lock shitty people up first- try that.
I can't imagine finding your parents like that esp on mothers day so heartbreaking and those poor cops who have to go on these grisly scenes it takes a devastating toll my goodness
Very efficient and smart detective work.
Why do I watch these , it fucks me up everytime 😞
That haircut should be a crime in itself honestly
I was about to say that but felt guilty thinking it. Lol

Haha that’s the first thing I thought 2 😀. It’s gross
So it IS his hair?!
They kept showing that picture and I was trying to figure out what could be behind him to make his head look like that. Crazy.
where does the sense of entitlement and sociopathy come from - how could that "mother " go back to that neighborhood and continue to live in the house knowing she had aided her son in his crime?
Psychopathy tends to run in families.
I can’t imagine what that was like for their children to walk in in the scene. Heartbreaking. I hope they are doing as okay as possible after something so traumatic :(
I'm so deeply sorry to the family and friends.
Scotts up bringing definately had something to do with it. When they said his parents went on a tour after their sons arrest, alarm bells started to ring. What people dont realise, adults who have been spoilt and given everything they demanded by their parents as kids, can be just as dangerous in adulthood as adults who had been abused and neglected and treated badly as kids. This is not to say all adults who have been treated badly as kids are dangerous.
Often times when we are waiting for a parent or older family member or friends and they don’t show up, we think maybe they forgot or mixed up the days. How horrible the reason is for this family. I can’t imagine checking in on my parents and seeing them brutally murdered.
My parents are older and they’re my neighbors. I’ve had to check often when I didn’t get a call or text back, and I’ve always had a pit in my stomach like maybe they’re sick or confused… it would never occur to me to prepare for THIS kind of outcome. Absolutely shatters my heart. 💔
I'll be darned the day I have to cover up for my kids bad behavior, if I know I'm calling period.
Parents don't really help their children covering up the crime, cuz that means their condoning it. Must be repercussions for bad behavior to be a good human or animal.
Amen to that!
I don't care if my son killed a trillion people and ate babies. I would protect him, always. It's called LOYALTY.

Scott's mothers actions hiding evidence is disgusting. They must've known what he'd done and that's why they went on the tour. They weren't shocked or needed to find out why their son was arrested. Disgusting parents with no moral Compass. The fact his bloody clothes were in the wash also points to his parents knowing something. Who would leave that visible to family members? He obviously wasn't fazed who came upon those clothes and expected mummy to wash them for him. Also how did she know where to find the bag he'd stashed unless she was told prior to his arrest? He wouldn't have had the opportunity to tell her once in custody.
That's what happens when you raise a spoiled child that you continually bail out of trouble and he has no consequences for his actions, until now. How long were you going to go on with this ruse Mom? How many more might have he killed? I've seen too many cases just like this one.
What's the choice though be a tyrant, a nasty parent? Make those children hate you for being so strict? I agree with what u say as my parents brought up two boys b4 me and were frankly jealous of me and harmed me, they see women as objects.. but how do we prevent these kids being people of hate, sn

Heartbreaking. I feel so badly for the kids.
The stupidity of criminals is astounding, pawning shit so soon after a murder or holding onto things they took from the crime scene, if he had any brains he would have got rid of anything once the cops started talking to him and his brother.
His parents clearly are messed up if they went on a tour after their son is arrested and helps get rid of evidence.
If he had any brains he would never end up doing any of this to begin with. To rob and kill someone you have to be missing at least some of the brain, probably the human part. 😏
