- Here's a look at our morning routine lately during the heatwave we've been having in the UK! The little kids Alessia (7) and Andrea (5) had a regular day of school whereas our oldest Emilia (11) is leaving her current primary school. Edie (10) is finishing up with homeschooling! The doggies didn't want to eat much this morning as it was so hot. I also talked about how I've been taking creatine in my morning protein shakes. Jonathan & I got the kids ready for school and brushed their teeth, I got their backpacks and book bags ready and into the car. I then met my best friend Matt and we went to get his Botox done! Afterwards we went to Bluewater and did a little bit of shopping. It's nearly summer holidays which means we won't see each other much so we're trying to get our last few "mum dates" in! I got home just in time to make a quick coffee before heading back out again to collect the babies. We got home and Emilia was heading off to her disco! She did not wear the Converse I got her as she wanted to break them in first. But she looked so grown up in her black dress! I sorted dinner out while Jonathan went to pick her up later. I made salmon with courgettes and rice. The kids all ate dinner and got ready for bed. Then I cleaned up and folded laundry in the kitchen! See you on Tuesday! :)

Andrea is so funny. All the kids have grown so much. Again, can't believe how grown-up Emilia is. I saw a video of you and Emilia baking when she was like 2 or 3 years old, and she was so funny. My favorite was when Jonathan went to Spain for work and she wanted to show him the cake or cupcakes you guys made, and he didn't answer the phone and she had a meltdown. OMG Then when he got home, she barely said hello to him. Ha!

Anna, you are beautiful and a wonderful mom. I’m amazed how much housework you get done with so many little kids around. Thank you for letting me watch you fold laundry while I sit next to my clean laundry pile without lifting a finger😂.

@@AnnaSaccone I have no idea why we use Fahrenheit 🤣 100= 37 ish, and 90 is 32. But we also have humidity which can make it appear hotter. It's like wearing a wet blanket 😂😂😂

The weather we had here in the Uk was what the Weather Forcasters were calling a Mini-Wave which means it wasn’t a Full Blown Heatwave

Everybody has a different boiling point. I taking my third quick cold shower today because it was a high of 102 and it’s still 95 at 2100! Sigh, late October can’t get here fast enough!

Maybe you can get the dogs a little mini air conditioner for their sleeping room so they don’t get too hot in their kennels. Just a portable ac would work or at least a window fan for their room. Poor puppies are going to overheat in there as they are getting older. Especially Sina and Albie. Also maybe put a couple of ice cubes in their water dishes.
As for grooming appts, just give them all a bath and comb out and maybe take them two by two for nail trims at the vet or pet groomer. I imagine it is a ton of work for five but better than them being dirty or getting matted. They will prob enjoy being washed on one of the hot days and allowed to air dry in the sunshine but like my dog they will prob walk around looking pathetic and need a blow dry haha. Mine gets shampoo, conditioner, ear cleaning, teeth brushed, and another day I clip nails a tiny bit and use a grinder to take them down more. She hates nail trims and grinder gets hot so I have to give breaks a lot but it gets it done. She gets homemade food bc of a digestive issue and homemade treats for the same reason. Lol. It’s like having a child. I don’t have kids so I don’t mind but all I do for her would cost too much for my income to afford. You are fortunate but def keep an eye on the dogs as they are aging. Check them over once a day or every other day for lumps and bumps and changes. Keep an eye on their digestion, vision, and keep eyes clean and maybe get them a ramp if the steps are too much for them. They are lucky to have a whole dog dedicated yard for sure and I know you give them filtered water and good food. My last one required homemade food at the later years. I used to boil a chicken breast in one pan and other pan for sweet potatoes and green beans. When he had a hard time eating from meds or whatever I would purée it. He liked pieces more though so kept it to small pieces if he could enjoy it that way.

For doggy meatballs here’s the recipe:
A pound of ground Turkey, 3/4 cup of unsweetened coconut, 1 cup instant oats and an egg. I use the blender and grind the coconut first into almost powder, then oats same, add the Turkey and egg and grind it together into a paste. Form meatballs and put on silpat liner and bake at 375F for 20 min, then rotate the meatballs to another side and put back in for 8 min. Super easy and if you want to keep them from sticking to your hands you can keep water on hands or use a cookie scoop maybe. I make them into small meatballs like mini meatballs.
My dog’s food is chicken, rice, sweet potatoes and I add a scoop of prescription food and half a crumbled doggy meatball. Sounds like a lot of of work but I do a big batch of meatballs and keep them in the freezer. You can take a handful out for use for the week and keep in fridge or take them out one at a time and nuke a few secs to defrost and all dogs love love these treats. They are no fat and no hard on digestion stuff so easy for digestive issues dogs.

Yes - usually from beginning/mid July until the end of August.
