I'd never have gotten that far in HC without dying, but I do have to say every time there are corpse exploders around I stay FAR away from any large corpses, and I even pull out my own and start popping them just to be safe.

I think he was just shocked, it's not like he didn't pay attention to his health or that he lagged and died he just went from 100% to 0% without warning, and like they said, they done that map times before and had the duo bosses and that never happened before.

Maps are high level items you will find somewhat rarely that allow you to create a new zone with randomized enemies, loot, mods, etc, and most players run these maps to level their characters after completing all 10 acts. A map can be considered "cleared" once the player has explored everywhere and killed all the monsters (or as many as they found, leaving very few monsters remaining). Maps also have bosses and while they are typically more lucrative than other monsters, some builds just can't kill them efficiently so they can be ignored. In the current state of PoE and going back probably a few years now, the game has got progressively faster and faster as GGG introduce more and more powerful items / abilities to the game. To be fair, things have slowed a tiny bit from time to time due to changes but in general it's been an upward trend. What this has led to is players just blasting through maps in a matter of 1-2 minute(s), ignoring every potential danger because when you move and kill that fast is just doesn't matter. It might sound fun, and it is! But it's just not the game we played originally where you needed to play carefully, and think about your next move as it may lead to death. Take rare (yellow) monsters for example. There was a time when you had to check what mods a rare monster had before fighting it because things like that actually mattered if you wanted to survive, now you kill rare monsters in literally one hit and any dangerous mechanics they had are long gone. Anyway, I'm not trying to shit on the game, it's still one of my favourites and I play almost every day. This is a very late-game 'meta' complaint that doesn't even come into play for probably a few hundred hours play time. I hope you enjoy the game as much as I have :) Though I hear PS4 has a few performance / latency problems so hopefully that gets fixed.
I am playing this game atm and I am very new to it and how the leagues work, So he died at number 1 ladder spot on Hardcore mode. But if your character dies isn't it supposed to stay dead I am confused because he is still playing him after he died. any insight would be appreciated.

Bonespire at low level 2) Act 4 bosses 3)random bullshit one shots like as featured in the video 4)Chaos damage and difficulty gearing for chaos resist 5)desync at the worst possible moment 6)As much fun as I have at POE i'm just not that good at the game so I make REALLY dumb mistakes.

This can be affected by a number of factors such as distance, internet speed, capability of the servers or even your own internet connection being a piece of shit. Since the fix desync has been mostly on the player's side being mostly lag and distance from servers. (which is my issue) I likely should have worded it differently so people knew what I was talking about.

Venne Derp You will die in POE if you play it long enough. Most admittedly will be because of your own errors. There will however on occasion be unavoidable bullshit. Especially in some maps. (which you can reroll if you want if you have lots of currency) You can also grind to be 5-10 lvls higher than the content you're in which would also help, the thing is grinding is boring and being so high level nothing can touch you is also boring. I don't have the patience for that shit. If you want to waste your time on grinding when you could be having fun with the game then claim everyone else is bad because they don't like to be board, go ahead. It just makes you look like a douche bag elitist, when in reality you don't have any more skill than anyone else here just a much bigger mouth.
Numberless Oats im playing hc poe for 4 years now and as far as i can recall i only died once with the feeling of getting trolled by the game and this was some desync issue while they had huge server probs. Every other death in those 4 years could have been avoided by playing better and gearing better. Btw ive never been in a zone longer than i have to except maybe merc docks

So by all means add me i'm on my new char right now on core talisman NotARangerVIX (It is the low lvl one I have been leveling I do have others as well) I also have a RF Marauder in the 80's (core talisman) a summoner 70's(core talisman) and a firestormer 60's(core standard) just pm me saying it's you and if you have 2 chars 80+ in HC I will believe you. If not gtfo.
He's playing a crit wander build using power siphon as his main skill. Pretty fun build to play, but you need a crazy good wand to make it work and those are pretty damn expensive.
Well, if you die in Hardcore you get sent into the Default server, you can still play but not needing to fear death makes the game a lot less fun, so most people just remake.
actually, if this is his job then he actually has a life, since the time he plays the game will actually be the same as the time other people have to work, and therefore both parties will have the same amount of free time.

this is the poe i miss. it took him 128 hrs to get from 1-85. today people are getting from 1-70 SSF in less than 5.......
The absolute best era of PoE. Yes it had problems, but I'd go back in an instant, give me desync over the clear speed garbage we have today.

When you die on hc you resurect on softcore, regardless of where you were.
