I so did the Leo pointing meme when they mentioned the vow. For those in the know, its a good sign and red flag that something really bad mustve happened for him to take it, especially if in the end he was willing to take poison to end his guilt.
2:02 I wonder if it's that those two were affected by it more or if it's just a case that they all chose different ways of handling the guilt of the event: Torbin and Kelnacca both chose to take up a different version of the Barash Vow, Sol tried to seek redemption for or to come to terms with what happened by training Osha as his Padawan, while Indara may have chosen to take up a role similar to a Jedi Watchman by helping beings on a system or sector scale (this entirely based on my interpretation of how she is presented in the opening episode).
I do love the concept of the Barash Vow as it adheres towards what a Jedi truly is meant to be at heart, a servant of the will of the Force rather than politics.
I can't take credit for noticing this because I saw it on Reddit but it makes a lot of sense: Torbin got his scar from Kelnacca's claws (something taboo in Wookie culture) and both Jedi isolated themselves because of whatever led to that action.

I wonder how many Jedi have taken up the Barash Vow and if all Sith apprentices prove their worth by seeking out these Jedi and kill them to obtain their kyber crystal for bleeding. I know it shouldn’t be plausible for an untrained Force user to kill a fully trained Jedi but perhaps that is why the Rule of Two era Sith are as powerful and deadly as they are; they think outside of the box and have evolved because of it. Any Acolyte that fails is likely killed and the Sith Master tries with another acolyte until one succeeds and can then become an official Sith apprentice.

It could be something similar. But like someone has previously said, Luke also cut himself off completely from the Force. And the Jedi that took the vow, from what we know right now, still stayed in connection with the Force. But it's very similar.
