Dont bother with Timbren SES suspension.. They are not good. Instead purchase an Air bag suspension system. Far better product

How in this world did you get 2 hour installation time from that. You should change that to 2-4 minutes per side.

SumoSprings are the way to go if you're looking at this type of spring help. Timbren is made with excellent material, but the huge problem with them is that they still leave a huge gap between it and the axle which still leaves the truck to sag 3 inches before they can actually help with load, may as well leave the stock bump stops in my opinion. Sumo's are way bigger and better dampening material that leave about an inch to inch and a half between itself and the axle so they are functional right from the start of your drive no matter the terrain.

It's an interesting setup on the Ram with how they pop in, but on a Super Duty (among others) they make spacers to close the gap a bit.

Not a 2-3" Gap as stated in video. ----> GAP should be 1/5 - 1.5" from bottom of Rubber to axle (plate)

Very helpful video I didn’t have a lift but I did have a small hydraulic floor jack lifted up enough to place it in the cup put a small 2x4 underneath and used a 2x6x12 end ways on the jack to lift on frame let back down with 2x4 underneath the bump stop soapy water

Have a 2016 Ram Rebel with air suspension delete with these on. Great for towing just as video says. But gap is only 3/4 - 1 inch. And you feel every bump in road. ESP back seat.

I have a 2012 1500 4 wheel drive with a leveling kit. I don't tow anything with it but when the bed is loaded it sags. I currently have a Bakflip F1 taneu cover that weighs around 70lbs and a couple other small things in the bed and the bed is 1" lower than the front end. Will this SES kit work with a leveled truck or should I go with airbags?

You can call Timbren to get spacers and hardware to accomodate the kit to your lift. You normally want 1" between your axle and timbren so you'll have to do some measuring

Use them. work well. more costly especially with labor

    • @nickmclay

Because TufTruck coils are giving resistance from the get go which causes a harsh ride when unloaded. These bump stops don't start to engage until you are loaded

I've seen where most people set them in place by putting a couple of small 2 x 4's on the axle and then jacking up the frame to set them in. I don't think you can just push and twist them in to stay put. The video makes it look easy, but I think they need to compress into that cup for them to hold in place. Did you try that? Are you sure you have the one's that fit your particular truck? I've seen some off brands that look like Timbren's, but they aren't actually Timbrens.

If you're Towing heavy trailer Yes. Otherwise u get 1.5" of suspension before the axle stops it and boy what a hard ride after that. They only work as suspension when under Massive weight like a 4000-6000lbs travel trailer

well. i have a 2022 f350 with over 3500 payload capacity. my 5th wheel which has a 2700lb pin weight still sags enough that my timbrens make contact with the landing plate especially over uneven terrain....so what exactly is that about a capable truck? because that payload capacity doesn't get much more capable than that...or should I just be one of the "look at me boys" who put airbags on everything just to say they have airbags....wait wait, i'll just prepare for the incoming "should have bought a chevy instead" reply.
