Thank you so much for the video! I will shortly attempt to freeze my credit. I do not, however, believe for one minute that it was some kind of "temporary glitch" that TransUnion and Equifax were unable to freeze your credit. My understanding from other videos is that if you freeze your credit, they are no longer allowed to sell your information, which costs them a great deal of money. Would that I were wrong about this, but we shall see in just a few minutes... wish me luck! And thank you again for your time and the information!
You are correct about the data selling. That is why they want you to lock your credit and not freeze it. Locking your credit allows them to keep selling your data but freezing doesn't and they lose money.
I read people on myfico complaining about this and that it was hard to unfreeze, they had to call, send documents, etc. So I’ve been hesitant to freeze my reports
Hello there, Steven. If you are looking to protect your credit reports from unauthorized activity, then it is generally prudent to freeze your credit reports with all three credit bureaus. This is because financial institutions may rely on any of the three bureaus when they receive a request to open a bank account, credit card, etc., in your name. I hope this helps! :D
Hello Deanna, Thank you for your question. As the three credit bureaus operate independently, you would need to freeze your credit at each bureau to minimize the chances of identity theft.
lmao @ the google part.....woooow never thought of that until you said it. I wonder if it's not working because of COVID..in some type of way. I could try today,I just hope its easy to freeze and unfreeze.I subscribed, you're hilarious
Hello there. Thank you for your feedback! In order to help in minimizing the chances of identity theft, it is unfortunately necessary to initiate credit freezes at all three of the credit bureaus whenever possible. The reason is that each of the bureaus is an independent private company which does not necessarily share information with the others.
TransUnion wants me to provide a credit card number. Did you have to do that? I didn’t want to give them my credit card info since I want their service free.
Experian is now charging $25 per month. I thought it was supposed to be free! They don't like it when you freeze your credit because that stops them from making money off your personal information.
I got to know CreditLock isn’t free and need to take membership for it in Experian… their are other two credit bureau’s which is free for CreditLock. Experian kept membership for CreditLock to make money and I think they do not have any other way to make money… they should shameful on this … it’s so sad… 😞
Videos starts at 3:08 , your welcome

Pretty good! Have you tried again for the two companies that failed to go through? If so, please add and update.
