Go to search bar- type "display". Click "change system display settings At the bottom click "advanced display settings" Then hit "display adapter properties for display 1" Click the "monitor" tab. It says screen refresh rate: -change it from 60 hertz to 75 hertz Your problem is solved. Please thumbs up :)

That will make it more difficult.. you could try to feel around for the start menu on the bottom left hand corner with the mouse pointer??.. or you could try temporarily putting a different monitor on it, that can handle higher resolution.. just to fix it?? I will look into see if I can find another way was well..

Ok so I just figured it out on my windows 10. You go to display settings and go to resolution, and then you choose the right number for your computer. For me it was 1280 x 720
Maybe try hooking up a different monitor? Sometimes a different monitors might have different characteristics... and one might work where another will not.. to allow you to adjust some things... and get the other one finally working..
Thanks my guy, was playing a retro game on pc and it set my screen to a more fitting size for the game, after exiting though it still retained its screen size...
I had 1366*768 resolution and 60hz refresh rate , after reboot 1366*768 is just gone . resolution set to 1280*800 and 58hz also black bar appeared in rightside(2.5cm). I tried so much, probably wasted 2 day for fixing . Sorry for my English is bad any help wiil be appreciated.

Just update your windows 10... After that you can even set resolution to 4k

I got it fixed messing with the Radeon HD settings
