I paid $5,000 for 3 treatments of Mopheus 8 on my jowls and my neck and didn't notice any change. Many years ago, I had Radiofrequency on my face and didn't work to tighten skin and didn't work. The only treatment that works is the deep CO2 Laser which I had done underneath my eyes and it tightened skin and still looks flawless. I'm saving for a face lift, I'm not going to waste any money on any other treatments anymore.

As someone on a major weight loss journey, loose skin is a big concern of mine. This video was so very helpful to me in terms of realistic expectations. Thanks Dr. Dray!

Now will alll your loose go away probably not but it will be much improved for a 40-60 dollar brush.... It is also helpful to your Lymphatic system
Me too. Hopefully I can incorporate one of some of these mentioned and it works. I have not lost enough to have an issue but it is already showing on the face -- the jowls....ugh....is already very obviously sagging. Good luck to both of us!

That will keep your head off swivel mode. Will you struggle sometimes? Sure! Cry it out if need be and get right on being positive. Don’t use a brush on your skin . Dr. Dray says that actually damages and making micro tearing in the skin. You are beautiful , strong and a warrior! Much love and prayers ❤️🙏🏻.

My skin glows and it is tight. I have been brushing for over a decade. The woman who does my facials says I am aging backwards. Research and learn about old world techniques before you give out nutty advice. To be honest Dray skin is not great by any stretch.
Considering a face-lift lasts around 10 years and what it costs (and IF you find the right surgeon), I'd rather spend the money with a monthly facial, neck, scalp massage especially to relax (TMJ, eye strain...) and do some lymphatic drainage. Maybe alternate with other modalities each season (LED, microneedling...). But honestly, sometimes, if your sagging is just due to aging, it's better to just pamper yourself and get someone to help you relax rather than going down the hamster wheel of surgery...

You said this at the end so I want to put it in the comments in case anybody misses it. Dr. Dray debunks the myth that intermittent fasting will get rid of saggy skin through autophagy. Thank you!
Dr.Dray is very wrong on autophagy and saggy skin. It depends on her definition of IF. If it's 18 hours if no eating, I agree, that won't work. But if you lose weight doing regular 42 hour fasts 3x a week, you will lose the weight plus the skin and the effect is even better if you add some dry fasting periods in there too. She's thin and doesn't treat obese patients. Dr. Boz has some videos on this showing photos of 50 pounds of weight loss with and without fasting and its a big difference.
@@Cookie-oz9wxUnless Dr Fung has come up with a way to suspend gravity (which pulls the skin and underlying tissue down over time) then he is misleading you. intermittent fasting has benefits but it’s not going to negate skin laxity
@irisk934 Yah, that's pretty ridiculous, considering that autophagy doesn't even kick in until the body's glycogen stores are depleted on a fast. We generally have about 36 hours if glycogen stores in our muscle tissue. So, IF is way to short a fast AND autophagy wouldn't firm the skin anyway!
I’m a 56 yr old guy. I’ve been very happy with the Inkey List products for the past several months. I could stand to lose 5-7 lbs though I’ve always been muscular from gym time . I had fatty liver disease and had to change my diet in order to get the liver healthy again. I had a bit too much sugar in my diet. The diet change caused quick weight loss and which in turn caused loose skin under my chin-the “turkey neck” thing. It bothers me so much that I’ve stopped socializing or even going out at much. Several yrs ago I did Sculptra. The results were nothing short of amazing. It caused a gradual filling in the cheeks, the temple areas, my skin looked years younger, healthy and “glowing”. The company claims that you can expect the results to last about 2 yrs and then you consider a second application in order to boost the collagen again. My face was plump and full for about 6 yrs but when it “deflated”, it did so very quickly. I’m doing another round in hopes that it can improve the loose neck area. I highly recommend Sculptra. Just make sure it’s an experienced doc. They have to be “artists” so to speak.
I prefer gua sha over any kind of facial massage, there's no pulling when the tool glides across the face and I can do it quickly when I'm in the shower and I've seen that there is a tightening effect, it's mild but it does make a difference, and my complexion looks much better. Retin A definitely helps my complexion and crows feet, there's been a huge effect on my skin, but definitely not so much on heavier sagging.

I had micro coring done around the mouth. Not true that it’s only a 3 day recovery!!! There was a lot of swelling and bruising. Swelling was down after maybe a week. But Took weeks for the bruising to go away. Also the area has had a persistent pinkness, even months later. Also the skin seems to be drier, or the ability of the skin to hold onto moisture is worse. Never had that problem before in that area. I would be very wary of this procedure if anyone is considering it.
So appreciate this overview of what the options are and if they are effective. I just want to look my best. Not interested in surgery. Too many risks. Plus I've seen so many Hollywood people look plastic and some actually WORSE than they did before. 😮. Thank you!!!!😊

Absolutely! It does bother me sometimes but then I stop and tell myself that I had lovely smooth skin for decades and it’s all part of aging gracefully. Concentrating on mobility and mental fitness instead! 😀
i repeat "well hey guys" to myself more times than i'd like to admit
Hello! If you don’t mind me asking Dr. ,what have you done different in your skincare? bc your skin looks flawless.
She has been wearing makeup lately.
Make up it makes such a difference
She doesn’t look as pale here. I figured self tanner.

SO FUNNY . . . . . “Don’t get it twisted, it’s not gonna give you a facelift.” I laughed out loud‼️
Totally random…..Not sure what your doing -but you’re radiating and keep getting more and more beautiful with each video.
Dr. Dray!! Your makeup looks fantastic!! You look so pretty in this video.
Infrared light is said to be healthy. Especially near infrared light. Led masks are sold for better skins. What exactly do you mean by infrared radiation and how does it affect the skin according to clinical evidence?
YOUR MAKE UP LOOKS AMAZING !!!! And great video as usual
Dr. Dray….Thank you for all your skin care advise. You have saved me a lot of money recommending lower priced skincare that actually works. I have a very thin face with slight sagging. Proper placement of makeup works wonders to make the face appear fuller also.
Dr. Dray, is there any risk in using cheaper red light therapy masks compared to more expensive brands?
Skin brushing with hard horse hair brush it takes time to work up to it but I have had so much success with hard brush skin brushes....
I do facial exercises, I think that helps. I don't think I would ever have any kind of facial procedure. thank you for giving us other options.
It helps more than any other treatment I've tried and without spending that money, in treatments that might work or not and if so you need to keep spending more and more ...and not with the same results that doing exercises
what exercises do you do? what is your source?
@@mariasc5495 where did you learned those exercise?
Facercise by Carole Maggio
Have you heard of Lanluma? I've heard it's better than sculptra
Thanks!
Sculptra.... interesting. Thank you. Jowls are a big concern. Thank you for everything you are sharing, Dr. Dray!!
That is exactly what confuses me: People using Botox to stop muscle movement so that wrinkles disappear and on the other side people doing face excercises. I wished there was more clearity what kind of exercise is harmful and what could help eventually.
Face exercise done correctly, so that you don’t cause wrinkles while doing them, can be very effective. Consistency is key.
But how do I know if I do it correctly?
A facial exercise for a double chin made my chin and neck skin worse and loose when I didn't have the laxity before.
Staying hydrated is also very helpful to me.
The title was misleading. Should be 10 things that DONT work for saggy skin. Waited till the end to see what works but it didnt come!
😂
Thanks for the flag. I only have so many minutes in the day
@@derp8185😂
😮
@@derp8185 I agree
dr dray can I use the caffeine solution from the ordinary on the scalp
My answer to my flabby arm muscles is to wear 3/4 length sleeves! Just started using hand weights and doing exercises to help in that area. PT gave me some good exercises. Hope it helps, but I know I have to be consistent for them to help.
Strength training helps a lot for such problems.
3/4th shirts are so ugly though :( I’m a guy so I can get away with boxier fits, helps get rid of the bat wings 🤣
@@fanboy9472 Well, happy to hear, but my blouses and tops go just to the elbow maybe a little higher, and aren’t ugly at all!! . But I’m hoping my strength training will help the situation and maybe one day I can wear sleeveless in the summer months, once in a while. I just need to have the discipline to do exercises everyday!
I was thinking about 3/4 shirts.
Sculptra worked for me. Its important to go to someone who is very experienced because its long lasting. Its been very cost effective for me. A lot of dermatologists dont offer it but they usually know the best injector in the area. Its worth it to take your time to find a dr who loves it. Its not for everyone either. But if youve used fillers its worth exploring.
I would love your opinion on Growth Factors and Stem Factors topically. Do you think they are effective or not worth the money? I trust your opinion. Thank you Dr Dray!
Dr Dray has a few videos on these.
What about HiFu and thermage? Are they the best non-surgical skin-sagging treatment on the market? What to consider when doing it?
Happy Wednesday, everyone! Have a beautiful day! Dr. Dray, I look forward to your videos every day. Thank you! 💗
Morning!
These makeup colors look so pretty on you!
Very realistic information! No non-sens! Finally
And Radiesse, what's your opinion? Thanks
How you come up with informative video everyday 😍😍I'm super impressed from your talent
Thank you so much 😀
What timing! I just had SYLFIRM X done to my face this past Monday. I’ll watch this video later today.
Really appreciate the information you share. Can you please clarify for me if RF mircroneedling has the potential to cause fat losst? In this video you say it can not. But I just watched the video on RF micro needling you referred us to and in that one you say it is possible. Am I misunderstanding something? Thanks.
Your skin & make up look SPECTACULAR!😎
A Power plate stimulates, contracts, and relaxes muscles that are attached to bone. Can it be beneficial to skin health, tightening, blood flow, conservation of facial bone etc. I use one at the gym every time I go there. I think it works…….at 68 my skin looks really good.
My husband got torn retinas after using a power plate
@@Moonshinebaby1000 so so sorry , is he ok?, I am shocked, had no idea that something like that can happen. Thanks for the heads up.
That’s very useful. Thanks,Dr. dray!
Can you introduce the face treatment particularly for the 30s?
I am turning 30 this year. I felt my skin get little bit loose, and less collagens and I want to prevent saggy skin.
❤
You're doomed. Gravity wins over time and 30 years is a lot of time. Just kidding
Love your videos, love your honesty. You are my favorite person to watch on any social media platform. Great information always… thank you ❤
Have you done a video yet on SCLEROTHERAPY for spider veins? I can’t find one from you but would love to hear your opinion on it. Thanks for all your great content. ❤
Check out her video on leg vein removal as she goes over it in that one (and probably some older ones).
I’ve done sclerotherapy for spider veins on my legs and was very pleased with the results.
I have done it many times and works like magic.
@@Katepwe and @itsagoodday2165 Thanks! Do you remember what sclerosing agent they used? I’ve heard some are really painful.
@@itsagoodday2165 Hi! I just started and had two treatments. But they’re not all gone yet. How many treatments did you have? I don’t have them all over my legs, but, I do have quite a few. I didn’t know it would take several treatments. But this Dr says he can only do ‘so much’ at one time. Kind of ‘wondering’ if he’s just wanting to make more appts. so more $$$?
Hi dr dray. Which of these would you use ? Love from Saudi xx
I'd check out her video, cosmetic procedures I've had done. She also talks about ones she'd do in the future.
I trust her opinion in that she explains the negative effects as well. Shes not saying the treatments aren't good, she just address's risks, like any reputable dermatologist would do. There's no miracle solution to sagging skin. Just accept it
She actually addresses 13 ways, just sayin.
Thank you for all the information!,it was very informative!,you look beautiful!
All the influencers seem to be reviewing the Nira device lately. Could you comment on it?
There's one cosmetic dermatologist who's commented on it, Davin Lim.
Dr. Dray are you using a bronzer or sunless tanner on you face? I have the same complexion as you do and would like to have a golden glow. I’m always told I need to get sun and people laugh that I wear sunscreen daily. I know I’m doing the right thing for my skin
Great, helpful video Dr Dray. Have a wonderful day.
Grapeseed oil from NOW brand helped my saggy chin skin after losing 90 lbs. I applied it for about 10 months and it really helped.
Hi doc!what would be the best treatment for skin tightening…there r many procedures in the market now but its super confusing to choose from….sculptra,RF,,Microneedling..some fancy ultrasound etc etc..?
Penn Smith Skincare and a friend of hers did micro-coring. She talks about it in her video and even more detailed blog (results they both saw, side effects, etc)
Dr dray can you please review Loreal spf 50 with vitamin C and Garnier invisible serum spf 50 with Ceramide. Thanks
Dr Dray is looking good!
Quick q - what about notable plastic surgeons like Dr karam here on RUclips who essentially say - there isn’t a procedure that’s going to work for sagging skin it’ll need to be. Facelift?
Thanks for your honesty. BTW, you look great in this video!
Wow, what a Great, Timely and Informative video! Thank you so much!
Are there any at home peels you think that are worthwhile?
Hi dr.Dr.! I wanted to say you look beautiful! Really adorable..I just don't remember you wearing makeup in other videos I've watches..not saying your not pretty without makeup..but your makeup really looks perfect on you!
Thanks so much for the info Doc, love the top bun!
Hi Dr Dray, Thermage FLX is very popular in Asia, can you talk a little bit about it?
Wow these warm colors in your makeup today look sooooo complementary with your skin! 😍 stunning
Hello Thank you for a great post...would micro needling every six weeks help with skin Laxity on the arms?
Dr Ben talei says that sculptra creates scar tissue not real collagen, but there is plumping effect. Just we need to set expectations right.
Are you in my head? Ihave so much of this after losing 100 lbs. 💜💜💜
Hope this video is helpful
Good for you on the wt loss.
That is awesome!!
@meggieprice Congratulations! I wish you much health and happiness. I don’t know you, but I’m very proud of you.
Congratulations great job. I’m always so impressed with others weight loss. Wish I could loss 30 lbs. I’m sure your beautiful inside and out.
So appreciate this overview of what the options are and if they are effective. I just want to look my best. Not interested in surgery. Too many risks. Plus I've seen so many Hollywood people look plastic and some actually WORSE than they did before. 😮.
Thank you!!!!😊
Absolutely 👍
Will you please review / talk about more drug store hair care products ! With lots of fear mongering around lots of drugstore brands I would love to see your take on the new stuff!💕
Good day Dr.
Is there any research on the use of microcoring for pitted scars ?
CO2 Laser is very good for pitted skin. There are two levels of CO2 Laser, I had the deep one which was done under anesthesia.
What about compression? I have heard wearing girdle type things can help the skin not be saggy. I have also used tightening masks on myself and clients on the face and have noticed a temporary affect, but it did look firmer.
Compression will not impact the loss of collagen and elastin in the skin, not the underlying muscle and fat.
What about HRT for reducing bone and fat pad loss and collagen preservation.
Thank you for the great information. What is involved in the procedure Tighten? TIA
Happy Wednesday Dr Dray so excited to be here I live for this ❤️

Great video and information! Thank you so much! Question
How do I find a good doctor in my area? What am I looking for? Thank you :)
At 0:32 I swear Dr Dray was going to say ‘…if you have had excessive unprotected sex…’ as a cause for skin laxity 😂😂😂😂😂
LOVE that Lip Color!💄
Hi, Dr. Dray. I have been listening to your podcast every morning now ever since I saw your most helpful advice on rosacea. Because there seems to be not too many patients here in Taiwan suffering from rosacea, I went to see several doctors, not one could treat my condition lasting longer than 40 years now, but you are my savior!!❤. Thanks, dear Dr, Dray, my rosacea isn’t all fit, but all better. My question today is are you still using the I-restore hair helmet? I bought it a year ago, too afraid to use it because the warning on it saying it could cause hair loss at the beginning. Is it true for most people? Are you still seeing results from this? Thanks. Wish you the best, and if you ever wander into Asia, please drop me a note, I’ll be your tour guide in my humble hometown! Thanks again
For rocasea, make sure your body is not low in vitamin D. I suffered a number of ailments, including skin conditions without knowing that my body was very low with it even though I always had balanced diets.
Dr Dray, what about Softwave & Thermage? Do you recommend these two for skin tightening?
