God damnit, you're one of the few RUclipsrs who I feel has such a genuine love for the art of storytelling. In an age where clickbait, short form content is dominating and audiences are lowering their attention spans, I really hope you keep this up. You've no idea just how inspiring this all is.
So true it’s awesome to feel his authenticity
I agree 100%
I mean it’s a little click bait as he spent about 20 seconds of this video alone
A word of warning to anyone thinking about going to the Amazon Jungle. Be ready for your life to change. The jungle itself is a place of magic, it will slip into your soul and make you happy to be alive in that place, you're no longer at the top of the food chain which is interesting too. The jungle, the rivers, the wildlife, the millions of things who live there are incredible, but even more, the people who call it home, they are truly amazing. They invite you into their homes and hearts. They want to teach you about that incredible place. If you go to their home with a good, open heart they will care for you and protect you, you are their student, they want you to pass and come back in a higher class for more lessons. In 1994 I went to the Peruvian Amazon, planning only one trip, now almost 30 years on I have 35+ trips, I was adopted by a family and at 77 years I have a few more trips to make. Go there with an open heart, be ready to love it's people, it's jungle and be prepared to be loved in return.
Good for you Luke, have fun with life and keep this stuff up.
great comment
Como brasileira afirmo que ele foi muito corajoso em se arriscar assim, sem saber nada da língua , só lendo um livro hahahaha
no words to describe the feelings your videos give me. amazing as always luke!!!
OMG ITS BENITA
Benita!!!
well hello benny
Dude…your videos…these experiences you are having in your life…they’re truly awesome. This one was a bit short, but during each of your videos I am so moved and get a tear in my eye. Keep living life to the fullest man!
its his longest video in 2 years lmao
@@Tom-ck3io Ha! I just checked…ya, damn this guys videos need to be longer!
I find it pretty interesting how you managed to look after those children despite the language barrier. Even if it was difficult, it looked like a success to me.
your videos let me feel raw emotion that other youtubers can't capture. keep it up Luke.
What a wholesome video. As a Brazilian myself, I can’t imagine how you got around on those situations without knowing the language.
This video made me happier and more inspired than I was 10 minutes and 24 seconds ago
is it helpful he speaks spanish though as the languages are similar.
@@CatharticCreation I grew up in the amazon region, it's quieter here than many people imagine. People are hospitable and willing to help you. And spanish is not similar to portuguese. A word here and another there, that's all. But we struggle to understand.
@@kd1228 That sounds nice, which particular region of the Amazon did you grew up in? (which country?)
@@noseboop4354 Brazil, state of Roraima! But I grew up going to Manaus because my whole family is from there, the places he went I grew up going.
@@CatharticCreation It's just as helpful if you have a phone, google translate does everything for you now.
I am brazilian and this video really touched me, it reminded me how special and diverse it is our country ❤️ unfortunately, as you can see by the video, the region of the Amazon (North Brazil) is really poor and they suffered a lot during the pandemic, this region has never been a government priority, so it lacks investment in health and education.
Unfortunately it’s the reality.
My dad visited Brazil in his mid-20's during the early 1950's. 50 years later he was still talking about the adventures he had in the Amazon, at the Carnival, etc, etc. It was a life changing experience for him.
Whoa…this short documentary was stunning. I know that Luke is an incredibly talented RUclipsr who is able to convey a level of genuine emotion that is incredibly difficult to find, and I’m amazed how each video gets better, with better videography, better graphics/animations, better immersion and amazingly, better storytelling. My favorite part of this film was that Luke was able to not only show his journey through his own eyes, but to do so in such a personal and genuine way. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
as a brazilian, this is one of the most amazing and heartwarming videos i've ever watched about our country, it's so beautiful the way you showed everything and embodied the experience, it just made me want to go amazon even more since i haven't been able to do so myself yet. i hope you were capable to feel the love and warmth that our people always have to give.
i'm from brazil but ive been living in argentina for about 1 year. i feel soooo homesick!!!! and here i am crying after watching this AMAZING documentary. you showed just a little bit of what its to live in brazil. its such a big country so you can imagine that the diversity its HUGE. hope you get the oportunity to visit other states! you sure gonna love it more than you already do :)
One thing I love about these films is that I can feel they were made solely to capture moments and experiences and that you actually want to travel to see the world and connect with people, not just make videos. You're living the life Luke!
This was amazing. Even with the language barrier and unfamiliar experiences you did all that. The kids part, dang you really tried to be a teacher 😂 it was great. Taking care of kids is hard and you did ur best which is more then they can ask for. So much love and appreciation in this video. Loved it all. The humanity was precious. All love to everyone in this video. Nice to always see a Luke Korn Video ❤
I have been subscribed to Luke for YEARS. I’m 22 now and probably started watching when I was 14. Even after 8… 9… years… every video is still a treat, and I’ve loved growing as Luke’s film style has also grown.
Beautiful film and a beautiful experience. Hope all’s well over there!
You are such a brilliant storyteller. I absolutely love every single one of your videos. Been waiting for your trip to Brazil, such a awesome experience to see it all through your point of view. Keep up the great work Luke!!
Absolutely beautiful.
Luke 3 months ago: visiting emptiest megacity
Luke today: goes to Amazon jungle alone
I respect 12 years of dedication
I was there. I used to live in Manaus. You did a great job on this video. You are a poet with words and images. Beautiful short story. I have 3 friends that did what you did and they got lost in the jungle. It took 3 days for the locals to find them. They were going in circles and they didn't know it. I am from Brazil and I live in New Orleans now. New Orleans has a taste of Brazil. The good thing is that you didn't get lost. Glad you made it alive. 🙂
Awesome! It’s great to see my people depicted in such a wholesome way. Greetings from Brazil ❤
My guy. I love your diary like approach to story telling and your music choices are beautiful. It's crazy to see what life changing experiences can open up to you if you just take the courage to ask. Keep up inspiring people to get out of their comfort zone. I love it!
Loved this narrative of your time shared with all these lovely people and what a great opportunity! Such an adventure! Kudos for you, kiddo! Thanks for sharing and what a great way to tell the story ✨
One of the best documentary makers of our time.
Such a great action you did for those kids. Huge respect! Cheers.
Please never stop, these films are the best
luke - you distill the essence of adventure and truly submit to it. this is some of the best content on this platform, some of the best documentary work i've seen at all. what a brilliant way to tell a story.
How I remember that I subscribed to your channel when you were learning Spanish with Andy, how nostalgic that was
Came here 40 seconds after it got posted. Gotta say it's always a joy to watch your vids, they are authentic and well crafted. Truely one of the RUclips greats!
Im always impressed by how well you trust others and make them comfortable to trust you
The first 10 seconds of this video already tells me this is going to be a great video!
Such a beautiful story! Much love Luke ur a legend
Once again, I was left in awe
Luke - it’s my considered opinion that you don’t HAVE a comfort zone. NOTHING fazes you. Amazing film. So much story packed to ten minutes. Thanks. (Hope you got your shots before you left.)
so beautiful luke!!! Seriously SO well made as always. I wouldve been horrified going through the amazon on a small boat like that, but you seemed to do it with ease.
Love watching your stories. Love seeing you follow your dreams of traveling and seeing the world like a local.
Just come
This video was amazing. It's a nice refreshing pace to see your journey from your perspective and including all the welcoming people you meet across the way. The Amazon looks amazing and life goes on everywhere, what a joy to see!
this video is fantastic. the storytelling is as wonderful as it always is. what a pleasure to get to see the world through your eyes every once in a while
Your story telling is amazing as always. thanks for another great video!
I’ve come to love these videos so much. The villages of people that Luke meets and the kindness they all carry is so amazing
You should try visiting São Paulo which is completely different from Manaus, despite being in the same country.
Brazil is so different all across that I learned alot about my own country watching this video.
Thanks for showing us just regular people, normal people. There is wisdom...
Another Gem, Amazing Luke. Always worth the wait.
All of your videos are soooo peaceful! Love you!
Luke!
GUYS, check out this guys channel. He asked me some questions about this adventure and more! Take a look.
@@LukeKorns thanks Luke!
10 minutes and 24 seconds of inspirational storytelling and an excellent adventure. 💪🏻
Bout time It’s always wonderful when you drop something new.
And I remain in awe and ever more grateful
Luke is insane to create a mini movie about his journey. Great storytelling and video quality. Superb!
Best video ever by your channel Luke. Hands down.
Immersing yourself to the Amazon jungle and it's people is truly ecstatic. 🥰
Luke has suh a genuinity to his videos that is hard to find anywhere else nowadays. I'm so glad to have come across his videos and it's great to see him and his channel grow over the years without succumbing to the RUclips stereotypes.
I love that Luke’s videos always share what he’s learned. Also, as usual the editing is on point 😁
yes, also as brazilian i want you to know that your trip was really a cool one. I guess that the majority off brazilian would classify this trip as a crazy and risky trip. I love your videos .
mann this video needs 10 million views, awesome work.
Another great video by Pinocchio productions. Mister Geppetto's wooden puppet became a real boy and is travelling around the world! You are awesome Lukey, amazing work :)
So so so good Luke!
4:43 As someone who also works with little ones, you're lucky to have had a whole hour of peace LOL
I get to the end of your videos and wonder how they are only 10 minutes long - so much always happens. You have such a way of packing so much in, yet maintaining a pace that allows all the right moments to breathe.
I volunteered in the Amazon in Bolivia 7 years ago and weirdly one of my favourite days was roaming around by myself for 6 hours looking for a howler monkey who hadn't returned from his walk. Climbed a lot of big trees, saw some nice things and fortunately only encountered wild monkeys and not jaguars on that day.
The charity I was working at is exactly the kind of place I bet you'd love. Such an amazing variety of people from all over the world with seemingly nothing in common, yet with no one else to talk to for weeks or months on end, hence forming an amazing family. The whole place needs to run itself so everyone chips in. I really did feel deep within the Amazon. I hope I get to go back one day...
Luke is the definition of “down for the ride”
I was just thinking about going to Amazon jungle today lol, Subhana Allah, Luke Korns always with great adventures 🔥
No other RUclips channel makes me this excited when I see a new upload
this was so beautiful😭 your videos always leave me so inspired. as you travel and explore parts of the world we rarely think about, and share stories we don't take the time to learn.
As the son of parents who gave up a comfortable home in Wisconsin to live and each English in Kurdish Iraq, you were clearly raised with the right instincts for the approach you take to the world and its peoples, and you combine that with the tools the 21st Century provides to make the connections, to bring us these marvelous experiences. (And of course these tools include, as you mention, Google Translate). I'm sure your knowledge of Spanish occasionally helped; native Spanish speakers have told me that they and Portuguese speakers are able to make themselves understood to each other (though that may not apply as well to local dialects!) From what I could see, your teaching experience was a success. Those kids were learning English as their regular curriculum and being able to have even a minimal conversation with you will have built their confidence. Your personality won them over; the behavior wasn't outlandish for kids that age. Just putting the room back in order the night before set an appropriate level of expectation, and you accomplished all that a substitute teacher is expected to do, and more. I think you stayed east of the reaches of the river that are dangerous due to the illegal activity related to the forest clearing and mining activity that is driving into the lands of the indigenous peoples causing the perpetrators to kill outside people they suspect of interfering in their exploitation. For an outlandish tale of an earlier generation of potential exploiters farther west on the river, see if you can find the 1982 Werner Herzog film Fitzcarraldo. This is really serious, important work that you do; those of us who appreciate it should do as much as we can to make others aware so that your earnings from it allow you to continue. You avoid the now-common hounding of viewers urging "like!" "subscribe!" It's up to us, your admirers, to do that for you! Jerry Pinkepank--Seattle (Margrete [mar-GRETT-ah" ]} the nominal poster, was my beloved Norwegian Forest cat who died last September; a friend who set up this account for me thought I wanted to be anonymous on this particular computer.
The way you portrait life is just so pretty
you are one of the few youtubers i started watching (about 8 years ago now) who i still continue to enjoy watching and your content has only gotten better and more inspiring through the years. thank you for being such an inspiration to my younger self and being a part of who i am today :)
Amazing video Luke, beautifully shot and wonderfully narrated. Lots of love from Australia.
2:10 wonderful 😊🎉 moms like to have fun too 😂 and we love our children and their friends
Absolute masterpiece of a video. Thanks for sharing this incredible experience.
As a fellow nomad, no way would I have the balls to take this on.
I just discovered your video tonight. I can't believe I've never heard of you before! You are cray cray awesome! You rock!
I love the way your craft your adventures, they are always spontaneous, reflective, natural, uncontrived and peppered with quirky moments.
Luke, you're the best. A book telling your stories is way over due.
your view of the world is so inspiring luke
this is soo gooodd. for me the best youve done yet, but maybe im bias bc im brazilian but... and the editing in thisss, literally i literally think youre at your best and seeing you grow film after film is amazing. seeing the world through your eyes is such a privilege ❤❤❤all the love from sao pauloo
Why do I always cry happy tears with your videos! Love this what an inspi
As a brazilian I find this video very beautiful! Glad you got enjoy the best of ppl in Brazil! Give me a shout if you ever wanna come to Santa Catarina! Greetings from Brazil 🤝🇧🇷
Luke taking after his parents. A chip off of his block. (or - Can a toy teach kids)
most of those kids are young boys. I've heard its best to give them a break to run and stretch for a minute. Maybe a routine would help. But those kids and many others who interact with Luke are so sweet and like him. 🥰so cute and wholesome.
Luke gets initiated into Amazonia tribe (like, how much does he belong to now?)
don't go in the water alone; practically every animal is edible, beware of poisonous creatures, be humble & Kind.
Another amazing story! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
This is so beautiful, thank you for sharing and telling us these stories in such a loving way
so moved & impressed by your love of life & your immense trust in humanity. love your videos luke!
Your amazing adventures never cease to amaze me. Love your video's. Keep doing what you love :D
So happy to have you here in Brazil, Luke! Be very welcome, and let me know if you ever come to São Paulo!
Thank you for sharing such a genuine story while also avoiding stereotypes and clichés about my country. It's crazy to think how many of our stories go untold, and I'm glad you got to tell this beautiful one. I can't begin to imagine how challenging this journey must have been, especially due to the language barriers. You did an amazing job. Congrats, Luke.
Your videos are the best. So happy you share these with us
Another beautiful video. Always heartwarming and insightful. Some of those shots were so beautiful too. Like something out of national geographic
as a brazilian fan I've been waiting for this video for so long 🤣
Your storytelling in these videos is completely unmatched

Another amazingly told Story!
Luke is becoming such an epic story teller. Great video
I am glad you lived and have a great story to tell.
Excellent as always 👍
I don't know what to say about your videos....they are simply awesome. The experiences you have, the abandon and eagerness with which you take on new challenges, the insight, the storytelling...wow. So happy that you are getting all that you are getting out of this life - kudos to you man, and keep them coming please.
Luke, you've honestly inspired me. I have been a fan of yours for about a year now and you've awaken the 15 year old-old in me to travel and pour my heart into content creation. I am now 25 and I am making it my goal to start my first adventure!
I am so glad you have a great time here in Amazonas!! Always be welcome as your home!
