Love her. Born this way is a fantastic album, she's hugely underrated when it comes to vocal ability. I don't know why people keep calling her a Contralto as she's clearly a damaged lyrics soprano. The cocain definitely took a toll on her voice, bringing her tonne down by quite a bit. I'd say she's currently a mezzo but hopefully we'll see a change in that. Great job.

The A5s and B5s in Fancy Pants are head voice notes and the intro of Goverment Hooker is in a thicker "operatic" like head voice also in Bloody Mary

@solariumm1 well she hit some similar sounding head voice notes in one of the videos of her band performing at the bitter end...not as high, but it shows that it sounds a lot like these!
@kellyclarksonismygod She definitely had access to her falsetto when she was in her Stefani / early The Fame days, but I just really doubt those are her, just for the thought that they don't sound anything like her IMO.
She had a B5 in the same song as the Bb5 too.
