This really helped us for our very first charter in the BVI's last June. Took lots of pictures. Thank you. Watching this helped take the edge off by seeing what to look for, and we had a flawless week bopping around the islands.
Hi Guys, I just stumbled on your channel. Its a great refresher. I got my ASA 104 last summer and I'm bareboating with the family in 3 weeks! definitely need to freshen up on most things.
And also worth to check life jackets and pyrotechnics (expiry date), location of fire extinguishers and other safety gear. I had to use once the fog horn because we found ourselves in the middle of a fog bank and couldn't find it because I didn't checked beforehand its location.
I would look for any water in the bilge before setting sails up….. it’s very important to know if a certain amount of water in the bilge is supposed to be normal

Hey Captain! Great video. keep 'em coming! Cheers!
Thanks! Next episode out next week :)
Hi guys! Nice and useful video. I'd add to check the bilge pumps. Hopefully you don't have to use them, but just in case!

I’d add to this: check you have enough spare lines ! Long and short. Better to have too many than too few
Dream boats, innit?
