Arşın Mal Alan (Muqəddəmə)

Arshin Mal alan is a well-known Azerbaijani operetta composed by Uzeyir Hajibeyov. It was first performed in 1913 and has since become one of the most beloved and widely performed works in Azerbaijani musical theater. The plot of Arshin Mal alan revolves around the story of Asgar, a young man from a wealthy family who falls in love with Gulchohra, a poor girl. To win her heart, Asgar disguises himself as a fabric peddler named Arshin Mal alan.
It incorporates elements of traditional Azerbaijani music, dance, and culture, making it a significant piece of national heritage. Arshin Mal alan has been performed in various adaptations and productions, both in Azerbaijan and internationally, showcasing the enduring popularity and cultural significance of this musical work.
