I honestly don't understand the hype with the type R. It looks like it was designed by a toddler, has the performance and sound of a lemon, and overall is overpriced for what you are getting.
1)It's a Honda so it will last forever 2)Its a 4 door hatchback and as practical of a daily driver as they come 3)It's good on gas 4)It comes in manual 5)It holds its value extremely well 6)The car handles better than cars that cost 2 or 3 times it 7)It's the 1st time its been offered in the US since the Acura type r 8)It's a easy to modify/tune to get more power 9)Looks are subjective but it doesn't look like anything else on the road and you don't see alot of them
