Such a fun easy riff, just got into intervals and so far they're amazing
Love this song and you play it perfectly. Thanks for the great explanation. Those chords sounds so awesome
Most people will just play and slow it down for ya. You are a great teacher my man. You explain everything how everyone should, which is breaking it into sections. The muscle memory is really easy to pick up with your explanations. Much
Thanks very much man! Appreciate the words 😊
Man you never fail to deliver! Amazing work and tasty tone :)
best tutorial I've seen yet! Insane how simple it sounds, It ain't. Thanks!!
Great lesson, G. Thanks for sharing 👊🏼🙏🏼🤘🏼
Amazing tutorial bro, just learned this on acoustic since I don’t have access to my guitar amp rn 😬
I have the same guitar but in the pink finish 😮💨 they’re so niceee thanks again man

Godsend, thanks. Aaron really writes the tastiest lines
Great job!
thank you.
Thats great! thank you a lot
awesome stuff
Nice! Thanks man
You god you. Short and extremely well explained.
Any plans to do String Theory riffs or more from this song?
Thank you for this video! Your tone sounds identical to the one on the album. Which pickup position are you using on your guitar?
Thanks!
Great stuff man, thanks for the upload. Wish my pinky was longer though, that opening chord is wonkyyyy.
Also, some tutorials for riffs from D.O.S.E. would be clutch, i can't find them anywhere
sick, its been an hour i can play it rough, gotta work on the slides and overall smoothness now, THANKS
とても参考になりました、ありがとう
Thank you so much for this! I love the intro perhaps the most out of the whole song, and I can't wait to learn it! Could you give any tips on replicating your tone in this video? It's awesome - if you told me it was the album track, I'd believe it.
Thanks! I'm playing direct through a Yamaha THR5. I use the bridge pickup on my guitar, with a 60%(ish) gain on. Low gain is the key.
@@chicken6111 Awesome! Thank you for the response. Do you have any reverbs/delays/chorus on there at all?
@@ajohnhayes yea a tiny bit of reverb, that's all 😊
How do you know that it's in drop D? The covers I've seen play it in standard since it is pretty much the same.
The chord shapes and fingerings in the official playthrough demonstrate that it's in drop D. The "breakdown" riff later on utilises an Eb, which wouldn't be possible on a standard tuned guitar.
It's also perfectly reasonable for someone to cover the song in standard or Eb standard, I've done covers in different tunings myself! However people want to interpret the music is up to them :) but I am fairly confident I've accurately pegged it as drop D.
@@chicken6111 Oh, I didn't know that there was a Eb after that. I had been playing this part in the standard "stack of fifths" position. Thanks for the riff tutorial and the info!
@@brandoagusti7288 no worries man! Post a cover!
Excellent video and tone , can you share what gear are you using and specs?
Charvel Pro Mod DK24 HSS
Yamaha THR5
Samsung Galaxy S10
How can i achieve a similar tone with my spark amp?
I don’t know what a spark amp is, but my only suggestion is lower the gain, use a bridge pickup, maybe boost the low mids slightly

What are you running through? Sounds great!
Thank you! A Yamaha THR5 and phone audio lol 🤷♂️
@@chicken6111 I've wanted a THR for practice for a while, you may have just sold me on one!
@@RobcC2809 Cannot recommend them more highly man, they rock!
Nice guitar! did you replace the pickups?
nope! these are the stock pickups, they rule
Is that a Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 HSS?
In Primer Grey, yes sir!
@@chicken6111 Thanks for the reply brother! you're a very great modern guitarist
@@andregulle9371 thanks so much my friend! Means a lot 💜
@@chicken6111 Still waiting for your full cover on this one haha
Patch please
