This is by far my favorite video. This stuff just works.
These are the nicest people will you ever meet!
Had the same issues with torn wads, loading round ball. Lost the seal and made a huge muzzle blast. Will try again with some wadding under the ball in the cup.
So Much Info IS Available When You Recover Shot Wads. I Reload Winchester 7.5. HeavyvLead(Melt, Mold, Return To Inexpensive Donor Hull.) With The Lee 7/8ths I Was Getting Great 25M, Much Wider 50M, And 15 Foot Wide At 100M. I Learned From.Recovered Shot Wads, That The Soft Winchester Shot Cup Was Pushing Up Into Lee Slug.. Then Throwing Off Slug With Unstable Separation. This Unstable Separation Would Tumble Slug. This Was Corrected With UnderShot Card.
A rock a pitchfork or a stick. LOL !!!! I love it.
Thanks brother. I love 800X I use it for my 9mm and 45 acp and all my shotgun loads. God Bless Brother
+yankey4 My pleasure Bro!
Get the Winchester varmint rounds for the .17 hmr I shot a raccoon at 30 yards and it put a hole size of a quarter and it puts squirrels in pieces sometimes but I'm the state of va we gotta use a caliber bigger than .223 for big game and there is no weird law but what you can use what time a year for Coyotes just can not shot a high power rifle at night
Captain buster stacks deer up like cord wood
love your videos. I was wanting to knw if uncle Bubba is still hunting with us here on earth miss seeing him. in ur videos
could you give us any insight on making a wad similar to federal flight control for buckshot
Awesome information. Love your videos and knowledge you share. Can you use the pre primed cheditte hulls with magnum primers and roll crimp them with that load as well?
yes you can! drop 5% off of your powder charge when using mag primers.
@BubbaRountree thanks on that. Happy hunting this season. Hey do you need any once fired hulls? I shoot tons of loads for duck goose and upland game, would love to see them go to use on your channel for the hunting crew.
awesome video. just getting into shotgun reloading so I find your videos very informative.
+willwood487 Thanks Will! You're gonna love reloading your own buckshot... There are so many different combinations that work well! You get the rt choke on your rig, and the possibilities are endless!
+Bubba Rountree Outdoors you have came a long way since my 80 yd deer challenge several yrs back. I am a fellow SC resident. just got a Lee loadall II so I am just starting tinkering with the slugs I casted earlier this yr.look forward to future reloading vids.
+willwood487 Yesser! We're putting a new long range video together rt now! Shooting life-sized targets of deer & coyotes at 75 and 100 meters! it's gonna be good!
+Bubba Rountree Outdoors that copper plated 000 buck I used really held a tight pattern but you are taking it to a new level. keep up the good work my friend.
Thanks for all the great information 👍
Thanks for another great video. I appreciate the clarification on the TPS wads.
I'm not familiar with the lower part of South Carolina's small game laws but in the upper part (game zone one) it is my understanding #2 shot is the largest you can use for small game. It would be wonderful to be able to use BB's at least or even #4, 1, 0, 00 buck shot.
In my humble opinion I disagree with you saying the DNR wants the coyotes killed! If they wanted them killed there wouldn't be many restrictions on how, when and with what you killed them. The weapons limitations borders on being unethical and gives some the opinon to just shoot and if it cripples them maybe they'll die later. For the ethical Hunter it leaves him with the choice of shooting expensive tungsten shot at 8 to $10 a pop at coyotes.
I could hear the seals blow out in your previous video.
Wade, what is the longest distance you personally know of anyone taking a deer with buckshot? Love the videos, keep up the great work!
The longest documented and witnessed shot that I know of was a big 8 point that I took at the Savanah River site back in 1993. I was on 1 side of a big bottom that was also a major gas-line, and Gregg Davenport was on the other side of the bottom around 250 yards from me. The big 8 split us running actually a little closer to Gregg than to me in the bottom. I fired 3 shots out of my old 870 hitting the buck with 4 #00 pellets from the Winchester 15 pellet #00 rounds. The buck didn't make it 100 yards and piled up. 3 different individuals went back to where I fired (my spent hulls) and where the buck crossed and measured 138 yards. All 4 pellets were lodged in the buck's hide on the opposite side, so there was complete penetration. Buckshot is extremely effective! Even more so now that we load our own... Wade
Awesome video, very informative and helpful upload, thanks for sharing you knowledge, much appreciate it, a 5* , and with best regards all the way from New Zealand, Tony.
Thanks Tony! Hope you guys are doing well down there in NZ!
keep up the good work up Bubba..........
Hey there longtime fan and reloader myself. Have you ever reloaded .180/BB size for Canada Goose?
Also I mainly use 10 Gauge
@@J.Tufts24 I haven't loaded any for goose yet! I don't have a 10 gauge to load for yet either...
Great information
Hey Wade, I use a thin overshot card in my long range buffered loads. keeps any buffer from leaking out.
While working up a load, do you take into account the weight of the buffer, or just the lead? Seems like just the lead, but wanted to check.
Thanks for the vids
Would I still need a cork wad at the base if I was to load these with lead bird shot (#5-#7.5) for turkey loads? All of the components are what I use for my steel waterfowl loads.
Don't know how I didn't see this video before...
Hey Keith... No need for the cork with smaller lead shot!
Bubba Rountree Outdoors lord, that was a fast reply!
Would I still need buffer, possibly an overshot card? I'm gonna try some of these with Longshot.
Hey Mr Wade have a question I ordered some fiocchi 2 3/4 inch from ballistic products and some gas seals.if I use the felt wads on top of the gas seal how big of felt wad do I use seems like the 1/2 inch is too thick do I need to cut that in half
Great video.
what is the depriming
tool that you use? i cant find one anywhere
Will you please give me some data for 00 lead buckshot loads that I can use hs6 in please. Its all I got
Already working on it Bruce... video will post as soon as I can get to the range! Been raining here for days...
i like my marlin 22 mag for groundhog
I went to order some TPS wads and all they had in stock was the White Lightning series.
I'm not sure wha the difference is. I'll find out I guess.
It's impossible to get someone on the phone there.
I love the TPS wht lightning wads! That's the only TPS wad that I use now-a-days.

This is the only channel on RUclips where I post and not get buried with replies from the trolls.
Thanks for the link to that video. I started out buying some 00 and then some #4 and most recently some plated 0... cause it seems to make so much sense after you become familiar with how the pellets stack in there best.
Hey Bubba, my buddy made for me some 00buck using 2 3/4 hull without the gas seal, he's just using the 1/4 fiberwad . He can fit 12 00-pellets in that hull, is it good for home defense?THX Jaime
How come you do not use a over shot card ? I know there is a reason ? Thanks
If I'm doing a star crimp there's no need for an OSC. the only time I use 1 is when doing a roll crimp.
Are your 3" Remington Nitro hulls yellow .200 base or black .250 basewads ? Also will a 3" federal premium all plastic hull work in this load?
How do you feel about number 2 buck for deer? Is the penetration sufficient for shots out to 50 yards or so? I like higher pellet count loads. Can't wait to work up my own buckshot loads because even with factory premium loads my patterns for deer are iffy much past 45 yards in my 12 gauge Mossberg 500.
Hey Scott! I love #2 buck... .270 caliber is really close to #1 buck size (.30) cal. Josh has killed a bunch of deer with my #2 buck reloads! That was the round that his old Revelation liked the best before the old shotgun squatted on him. He's taken deer out to 80 yards with #2 buck! I'm sure they will kill out to 100 yards! Wade
Hey brother what’s up with sharp shooter molds can you get them now? How long’s it gonna be?
Hey D-Lane! The Planks keep telling me to be patient, they are working on it every day! They said that I would be the 1st to know when they are back up and running.
I just bought a bunch of Remington 3" nitro hulls, they cause me a lot of issues with my Mossberg 500, they wouldn't eject worth a darn. I found that the 3" hulls were actually running 3.04-3.05. About 5% of them were down to 3.01, those were short enough to eject (barely). Do you find the same thing? Any suggestions on how to trim off only a few hundredths reliably?
My brother's Browning BPS 12 gauge can't cycle the Remington hulls either. Is that the problem?-- is the plastic stretching enough to cause ejection problems?
what do you think about 10 ga?
I've never fired a 10 ga! I have several buddies that own 1.... it's a lot of gun!
Do you reload rifle ammo?
Yes I do Chris... Wade
Can i use target data to reload buckshot?
yes, as long as you go by lead payload weight, you can use game load data for buckshot.
@@BubbaRountreeOutdoors thank you for responding. I'm new to reloading shotshell and data is super confusing and limited thank you.
@@BubbaRountreeOutdoors I di notice well I I'm using new hulls fiocchi orange plastic and the book calls for waa12 wad but it's super loose inside can I use any wad that would fit snub obviously the same design wad. Also is it safe to use same dadata for similar hulls such as federal 2 3/4 plastic straight wall and fiocchi 2 3/4 plastic straight wall?
@@BubbaRountreeOutdoors I was also told that hulls with vertical lines running from top to bottom are not suitable for reloading?
@@mannycali334 Never heard that 1 before...
Unobtanium around here,what's a magnum primer???😂😂😂
