- The IL2 M82 is a new event vehicle available to everyone that has the time to play World War mode in War Thunder. This plane is a strange modification of the IL-2's we have in game and it certainly feels like that!
The designation IL-2 M-82 is credited to the engine this plane was fitted with. In my experience, I find it more difficult to fly than some of the tech tree variants at the same BR in ground realistic battles. However, it might do better it different altitudes. The controls feel slow to respond, it's difficult to manage energy while doing multiple passes but it is by no means a bad plane.

Look at the minimap at 14:00, now that's how you scout! I feel like most people just ignore this quite useful mechanic. So good job, Odd (and your team), you're making your mama proud. :)
Do you know, what would make her even more proud though? Bringing out the 90mm pasta launchers of the Breda 501 and 90/53 M41M backed up by the 102mm spaghetti railgun from the sky, mounted on the totally flawless piece of Italian engineering, that is the P.108A serie 2.

and practice and train these things u thought
and plz, PLZ, train your aim, especially on air since jets will require fast and good aiming skills and with good aiming you can make great kills even on a crap plane since if u make it to kill your enemy before he starts trying to dogfight you (or climbing for another BnZ) your plane, even tho its bad, wont suffer from bad performance
When you have 4500 hours in War Thunder, you're going to be good at it too. I have a lot of spare time and I am lucky for that. When I first started playing I was a 1 kill Andy, I promise. Some practice, watching some good streamers and youtubers and you'll be golden!

Odd, I own a Lada Samara right here in Turkey, and I can confirm you can FLY it! Once you make 160KMs in that thing the wind and the creaks on the dashboard sound like you're in a JET!

@@nef5912 like I said the pen doesn't make a difference it still cant pen anything different compared to all other contemporary rounds if it had DM23 and not KE-W it wouldn't make a difference every top tier in the game has above 600mm against kinetic on its turret armour

When the live article was first released, I had my eye on the IL-2. But after watching yours and others videos, I think i’m just going to stick with the tech tree IL-2s. Also, a lineup I would like to see you play is German 2.3 focusing on the HE 111 which carries the Fritz-X bomb. Keep up the amazing content!

For such an iconic, impactful aircraft I REALLY wish the IL-2 was... good. Any of them. Some of them achieve "meh" status, but most are just plain bad. They're outclassed in every respect and it makes me sad.
It's because this variant used the M-82 (ASh-82) engine, which was considered crappy for low altitude work and general performance compared to the standard IL-2.

Could you do America 4.7, with the T14 (4.3) and the XA-38 (4.7)? I purchased the XA-38 and really enjoy playing it, it's like a more mobile PBJ.

Yes, it does
yeah, it does! WT places a lot of emphasis on the physics of the game, so adding bombs increases your weight pretty dramatically, raises your drag coefficient (externally mounted), and because of that, slows your acceleration, climb rate, top speed, and increases your turn radius, generally speaking
Not quite new to the game just don’t know the answer, does ammo add weight and reduce weight when you shoot it? Just a fun question.

Hey odd can you please play the M41A1 it’s really good after the APDS buff. Attempt like 8 or 9
Suggestion: Show off the great advantage of using the top mounted DShkM machine guns on the ISU-122 or IS-2(1944) for anti-aircraft purposes. You can switch to secondary guns by adding the control key and get some great accuracy! I think its a cool quality for the Russian line-up since their SPAA isn't the greatest around 4.7 to 7.3. If you are bored with the IL-2, the I-225 might be a fun CAS plane to throw in the video since M18 spam is on a whole other level this year.

I dont think Odd can handle that, an easier one to do is a russian t-34 as they only have 4 gears, but if he wants a challlenge i think that the M4 would do good. (Tip Odd if you see this, turn on the spot on 2nd or 3rd gear because it is much faster, and also 3rd gear is the gear for firing of the move)
