Matsu mean pine 🌲 tree and “Take” is mushroom.
A few days before one of my friends brought a mushroom as he often brought from the mountain.
He suspects it is Mutsutake but it was very unique we try to find it out by searching books and the internet but we failed and leave it as it is.
Today I visit a local former shop and I see differently kind of Mutsutake ranging from $20/400gm ~ $250/400gm.

Learnt about this mushroom from a video game called Cafeteria Nipponica developed by Kairosoft. Would somebody explain to me what does it taste like? How would you describe the aroma texture and smell/fragrance?

They have a distinct line aroma that also can be found in their flavor. They’re all over where I live in southern Oregon.
