nice video, using the pin support for blocking stun is interesting for a non warbringer warcry build and seeing how much resistance/es/armour can be dodge using other tool like knockback
I put this build idea together a few days ago, and went all in on scaling the life component. Kaom's Heart and the Surrender, as well as some %life soulcores, then a +14 level weapon swap for my totems. It works decently well, but the random deaths continue to feel really bad.
@Dreamcore There is a Unique Chest that reads "Armour applies to Elemental Damage" Did you test if there is a good synergy with that item ? I have been thinking of Stacking an Armour Titan with lots of HP with both items. Titan because he gets both extra hp and armour ascendancies. If you also get Block on top of that with the Unique shield 'The Wailing Wall' that reads "Can Block damage from all Hits. Cannot use Shield Skills" I think u would be Unkillable. I can also see Warbringer with the block ascendancy or gemling because of strength attribute stacking working.
Well if I remember back to the heist league which was the last time I really played poe 1 I think the "extra damage as fire/cold/lightning" on maps rolled quite a bit higher in poe 1 but we also had the purity auras to bump our max resistance up more. This hunch has led me to have some fun with the brass dome unique armor in poe 2 by stacking obscene amounts of armornodes on a titan =)
Using it in acts for leveling blood mage, when Life is The currency of your spells and survivability, it's just worth so much more than resistances. I imagine a well rolled rare later on will replace it, but then you also have to address resistances and it's basically a full gear swap at that point, which won't be cheap, so I imagine i'll be well into red maps before I ever take it off.
step 1, veil of night, 2 cowards belt, 3 rise of the phoenix shield, 4 blood mage. Now, you can scale your max life by 25% with invictus body, and make sure your rings have % regen corrupts. Prepare to regen upwards of 10% of your life per second.
There is a body armor that allows armor to affect elemental damage which could combo with this helmet. Also the Unique boots that drop burning ground when you move scale with max HP. Maybe a there is a viable Gemling HP stacker cast on ignite autobomber setup?
I wish rat cage had a tad more life, especially considering the amount you can roll on rare gear but this could still be quite good to help against fire hits
I had a very similar idea with warcries and totems using this helmet but instead of using titan id use infernalist and that way life/strength stacking also would provide more spirit via Beidat's Will and then use ancestral bond to increase my maximum totems from spirit instead of limit --as well as reduce the cost of those totems up to 60% with Matsya Crescent Quarterstaff (which also has very high base crit).--[EDIT:staves cannot be used for ancestral totems only dark effigy totems atm] idk if I should scale into with Grinning Immolation or not. Side note: the unique belt Coward's Legacy+Pain attunement+Beidat's Will+Grinning Immolation would give you a total of 60% MORE critical damage bonus permanently but you would have to invest into reduced ignite duration or other sources of ignite immunity). Overall, you would be able to push around 1300 strength and have 11k life with % life and % attributes morivictus and you would get about 600 spirit (without a scepter) with the right Against the Darkness placement with +1% life and +12 and also 3 %spirit grand spectrum jewels. That would be 15 totems which just sounds overkill but really fun since the more totems you have the more attack speed you have with Supportive totems (up to 30% with all 15) and at that point you could considering using an AoE mapping totem 6L like shockwave totem instead of relying on warcries but it would need testing. Realistically, you would probably end up being forced to use a shield in this build just for the extra armour and % physical mitigation roll. Also because you are stacking so much strength for extra life you can have a weapon swap with 2 +7 to melee two handers with Giant's Blood for bosses since the only way to scale base damage for totems in PoE 2 is gem levels and they really do not care about your base damage at all. I think I would end up using adorned with +% totem damage and increased warcry recovery speed for bossing but this is something that I would need to play around with to see if I would really need it. Also because you would use infernalist you can benefit from Heat Proofing and therefore benefit more from Altered Flesh to mitigate damage but obviously a massive life/insane % life recovery would be the main forms of defense. The surrender/block chance would be worth looking into as well. With this much HP, recoup might be alright BIG thing that I think you touched on but missed about this helmet's upside that makes it somewhat less of a meme is that "your resistances are 0" which means all your suffixes can now be used for other means such as extra strength, life regen, turning rares into unqiues, and taking -%ele resistance from things like Controlled Metamorphosis, Andvarius Gold Ring, or Rondel of Fragility Lunar Amulet is no longer a downside. I NEED POB NOW!
@@wolfcam4462 oh yeah guess that's a staff. When I was putting a totem build together originally I was thinking of dark effigy totems (which are currently very clunky) and forgot that it wouldnt work. Good catch though
@gamefuler you could still probably do some nutty stuff with coc or ignite like DD with a few skellies, since reservation will be really low using that staff
@@wolfcam4462 unless it's different in poe 2, totems are a proxy which means they inherent all of your stats but arent technically you and therefore "you" technically wouldnt be critting and CoC would not function but the extra minion synergy is very interesting and you just gave me an idea which I am very appreciative of.
@@gamefuler no I meant regular coc or cast on whatever; but I checked and you can use the shockwaves with the staff, though I'm not sure how you can scale it's dps without lvls, even if there are 15 of them😅
What about stacking armor with Blackbraid Fur Plate. I think the synergy can be amazing. Another interesting idea it to do it as infernalist converting 20% of the damage to fire and use the armor apply to fire notable. You will also reserve 25% of very large life pool to get and scale es.
I Know the thought behind the Monster Damage Map mods was: Elemental Damage is the characters Weak Spot so we wanna avoid Elemental Damage. But from a Relative Perspective Both Veil of The Night and a Regular Build are hurt basically the same from map Mods. Compared to a map without damage stats you take the specified % more damage either way. Lets say you have 1000 incoming elemental damage and 60% monster damage map mod. On a Res Char with 2000 Life thats 250 incoming damage without map mod and 400 with map mod so 20% of you hp. On a Veil Char with 8000 health you take 1000 damage without map mod and 1600 damage with, still 20% of your hp.
I'm trying recoup on my blood witch while stacking life, I haven't tried pushing the hp pool really hard yet but this item could be fun for a magic find build (as you mentioned).
take 4 times the damage just to have 1.5 times the health lol, maybe as infernalist with ES conversion to have ike 20K ES and a lot more spirit is usable lol
Yeah I pretty much found while levelling through campaign I'm completely unkillable, facetanking monkey slam in A3/6 etc. and getting into late white maps I'm now chunking big time to elemental damage, as expected. Fun test because the build is fun, useful item early on, not so good later on
Kind of, but you also win objectively better defence against non-elemental attacks and, more importantly, you gain the opportunity to replace resistance modifiers on your gear for whatever else. That's two to three slots per piece that you can use for another layer of defence, or more offence.
@@dreamcore_gg i wonder how powerful this item is if you play witch with the unique staff that reduces reservation cost by 50%. Like if you have 5000 hp, you would get 1250 spirit. the downside of no elementals might not matter for witch because you could in theory have 2 army summons where the minions tank everything for you.
I've been brainstorming a gemling legionnaire version of the seismic cry spammer, with the node for 4 life per strength and already pumping strength like a madman for corrupting cry, we could break 10k life...
Blackbraid Fur Plate? Then just repeat the str stacking and get as much armor from shield and some ES from other stuff. With your over 8k hp at the end with regen nodes and %life regen runes, you can hit like 50% of your life as regen per second, so 4k permanent ES Regen, and no need to build any ele res or max res.
The Rat Cage body armour gives 100% of fire to physical, I wonder how that works with Infernalist conversion to fire damage or Avatar of fire 75% of all damage converted to fire.
It's kind of a bummer that everything other than ES stacking is basically unusable towards late game. Need more sources of HP in the tree or a serious buff to armour ASAP.
I think witchunter would be a good choice for this kind of build. You get like 5k elemental ward from armour and evasion. Right now on s normal life setup I have somewhere over 2600 life so you could scale both life and armor/evasion to get more elemental protection. Not sure if you can stack enough strength to make it worth it. I think you could get 5000 hp + 5000 ele ward on s budget. That's a little bit less from what I have now 75 rez 2600 life and 5000 ele ward. Lets say you wear s shield with 1k armour you would probably make up for everything snd have more ele protection than on a normal build. Yet your boss damsge would probably be 0
As the creator of that "veil", i´m proud of your achievments. I´m currently stuck in T15+2 fullfilling bosshunting quests. 4k Life full reservation Infernalist looking forward to switch that new 1MUber-DD. I would recommend corrupting the helm to 58%inc life because thats dirt cheap todo. And compared to my melee quarterstaff titan stunner i died almost half as much. I consider Corrupting Cry a waste of time, doesn´t do enough damage.
I've been fiddling with Veil of the Night with a Witch hunter, using sorcery ward to help solve ele max hit could get up to 7-8k sorc ward, 75% block with allowing 20% damage through, using the evasion shield wheel. Its... fine. it's unfortunately straight up better to run atziri's disdain, defensively, but veil of the night is fun.
I considered WH but couldn't really figure out offence because I wanted to go more down the str/life stack route, maybe further into EA when more support is added for that kinda stuff
@@dreamcore_gg the offense i was going was just molten blast with blueflame gloves and herald of ice. nothing special. we need more one handed weapons before there's too much excitement you can do in the bottom of the tree that isnt herald of ice stuff.
I wonder if blackbraid could be used in conjunction with veil? I'd also imagine a gemling would be a better fit, getting double the life from strength stacking.
Well, i can't tell what is your ascenedncy but i had a 8k health gemling "500 magic find" at about 1.4k str so if i was not going magic find i'd certainly see a use for this helmet, but ultimately this helmet is like "more tanky vs phys/chais, less vs ELE dmg"
you should be using a lvl 3 infernal cry + daze setup, hit the pack with IC then SC till full stacks then move on its a very smooth playstyle with both crys
isnt there a way to cheese that somehow ? like 25%armor applys to fire damage taken from hits for example and maybe beeing a infernalist on top for 20%light&cold damage taken as fire and than use armor to medigate all the fire damage for example and maybe more items/jewels or whatever to get more of the damage conversion to fire or chaos damage ? isnt there a chest that applys armor to ele damage taken in poe2 ?? im pretty sure you could do somehting like that. also beeing a infernalist would enable some sick stuff with alot of life
wouldn't it be pretty solid on chronomancer with recoup? If u invest all in life and reach like 8k life, + maybe block, then with recoup i guess u will take more dmg so heal more?
Check out kripps build. You can convert your HP into es then scale es + es recharge rate. I wouldn't be surprised if you can get 20k es with 7k recovery
Not necessarily a meme. If you can get the same 7k health on Infernalist, that is another 300 spirit for a minion build, and nearly 1000 extra flat ES.
Kripparrian just posted a video on a Titan Warrior concept that flips life into energy shield, utilizing the Adamant Recovery node to turn armor buffs into ES regen, allowing it to rapidly refill its ES. And it can do it even in combat due to the shield blocking a lot of hits. Since it uses Ghostwrithe to get ES, which runs of hp, and the helmet you're using offers up hp... That said, without resists, that ES is going to get chunked fast.
Considering conversion interactions, Ghostwrithe would convert life to ES BEFORE the 50% increased life from the helm would apply. Even if it did, you'd be getting an additional 25% of your HP as es (50% inc life X 50% life converted = 25%). Aztiris disdain helmet can give up to 30% of your life as additional ES without the resist downsides.
Not on a warbringer, the block can get you to survive 1 big hit and block the next one. I am testing this helmet with ghostwright and Svalin on warbringer totemer based on what Palsteron posted
@@steven3825 atziri's disdain is a very dangerous item as the % bypass of energy shield means that if you have a 1 to 5 life to energy shield ratio (up to 1 to 4 depending on the bypass percentage roll) you essentially die as fast as your energy shield does, and even if your shield recharges you are probably invested in something other than life regen, point is we really need GGG to fix armor as the amount of shenanigans that some classes have to go through just to not get one tapped is really bothersome.
About map modifiers: Why GGG thinks 25% ele pen and/or -12% max res are ok mods to keep in the maps? It's litteraly brick mods that you must roll off or delete the map.
The idea looks niche but promising, but the build showing is well, dude, that's so bad. Corrupting cry on a titan or anything that's not a warbringer (at the current version) is just a bad idea, the build is a very good mapper because of the stun, seismic cry has built-in 400% more stun buildup, in maps you stun monsters so easy that most of the monsters will do nothing to you before they die. I think you need to test this idea with totems.
find ways to do chaos conversion then the unique that grants immunity to chaos, dont know if the unique is in game yet, if it is you can convert 80% of all elemental damage to chaos wich your immune to. its not a meme and no unique in poe is truly meme, they all have interactions that work usually with multiple things needed to make them work. but then when they do its amazings.

i've been playing with that helmet in all my character up to now and i can say that one of the best things about it is the sinergy with other uniques that give negative resistances like Rondel of Fragility Lunar Amulet for the skill speed and Andvarius Gold Ring for the rarity.
I'm at 92 lvl with skadoosh's build, but i decided to go cloak of flame for more physical mitigation, having a blast with this "man shouts, monsters die!" build xD
What a ugly build kkkk. Im waiting Druid and Dagger skills.
Poison assassin goes brrrrrrr.
It’s called the singer build
All we need now is a shout that makes enemy corpses drop extra loot 😂
5:30 "no challenge" 😂
I need to take a look at mathils build with demon form and negative resistances and maybe this helmet has a use in that build , as always great content 👍
I was thinking of using that helmet with witchunter and use elemental ward. Then if you go for things like spaghettification where the downside is negative resist. That would be interesting.
thats negative chaos res, which would hurt
nice video, using the pin support for blocking stun is interesting for a non warbringer warcry build and seeing how much resistance/es/armour can be dodge using other tool like knockback
If you also get Block on top of that with the Unique shield 'The Wailing Wall' that reads
"Can Block damage from all Hits. Cannot use Shield Skills"
I think u would be Unkillable.
I like when players experiment. I-m doing some testing of my own too. Keep up the good work.
step 1, veil of night, 2 cowards belt, 3 rise of the phoenix shield, 4 blood mage.
Was thinking about comboing Veil of the Night with Rat Cage for big flat life and take fire damage as physical
With this much HP, recoup might be alright
BIG thing that I think you touched on but missed about this helmet's upside that makes it somewhat less of a meme is that "your resistances are 0" which means all your suffixes can now be used for other means such as extra strength, life regen, turning rares into unqiues, and taking -%ele resistance from things like Controlled Metamorphosis, Andvarius Gold Ring, or Rondel of Fragility Lunar Amulet is no longer a downside.
I NEED POB NOW!
Need mace for totems🥲
@@gamefuler no I meant regular coc or cast on whatever; but I checked and you can use the shockwaves with the staff, though I'm not sure how you can scale it's dps without lvls, even if there are 15 of them😅
Have you considered using witchhunters sorcery ward? Sorcery ward can add an extra 5k max hit for elemental with enough Armour/ev
What about stacking armor with Blackbraid Fur Plate. I think the synergy can be amazing.
Another interesting idea it to do it as infernalist converting 20% of the damage to fire and use the armor apply to fire notable. You will also reserve 25% of very large life pool to get and scale es.
Glad to see you got around to giving corrupting cry a try!
Seems like this helm would fit on a strength stacking gemling, I have think that would give you the most bang for your HP stacking buck
Fun test because the build is fun, useful item early on, not so good later on
@@dreamcore_gg Witchhunter Sorcery Ward! reroll? :)
Might try something with Veil + Kaom's Heart for a big life pool, then Acolyte's Darkness + Block for extra damage prevention
I actually think Gemling with the attribute have double to bonuses would work insanely. With 1k strength you might be able to get 10khp or more
Have you thought about using it with Blackbraid & armor stacking ? (Armour applies to elemental damage)
This works really well with witchhunter elemental ward ascendency maxed.
The Rat Cage body armour gives 100% of fire to physical, I wonder how that works with Infernalist conversion to fire damage or Avatar of fire 75% of all damage converted to fire.
If you could combine this with "armour applies to elemental damage" which I believe exists on a unique in PoE1 then I would see the appeal.
how about disable resistance interact with doryani's prototype?
That and negative resistance items came to mind as combos to have fun with this helmet.
Mix this helmet with Blackbraid Fur Plate and you ll have ur resistances "back"
It's kind of a bummer that everything other than ES stacking is basically unusable towards late game. Need more sources of HP in the tree or a serious buff to armour ASAP.
Reckon it could work well with merc sorcery ward? Stacking life, armour / evasion?
Not sure if there is a node that makes all element damage is based on chaos resistance instead like in poe 1
Use the Blackbraid chest armor have your armor value work for elemental damage taken.
With the Roll being so high (50%) the Corruption value is very good also. you could prob get a very cheap 58% or higher
Kaom's + Veil on a Bloodmage goes hard
Curious if you could incorporate the Birth of Fury boots to your build, would make sense given you have so much hp.
I think chronomancer is the only viable ascendancy for this, maybe blood witch.
you should be using a lvl 3 infernal cry + daze setup, hit the pack with IC then SC till full stacks then move on its a very smooth playstyle with both crys
I'm titan not warbringer, so daze does nothing, I don't want to heavy stun mobs to avoid cd on seismic, but I will try IC on larger packs
I'm confused why are you testing this helmet on probably the most safe to play build possible
isnt there a way to cheese that somehow ? like 25%armor applys to fire damage taken from hits for example and maybe beeing a infernalist on top for 20%light&cold damage taken as fire and than use armor to medigate all the fire damage for example and maybe more items/jewels or whatever to get more of the damage conversion to fire or chaos damage ?
isnt there a chest that applys armor to ele damage taken in poe2 ?? im pretty sure you could do somehting like that. also beeing a infernalist would enable some sick stuff with alot of life
Yeah you could do some fun stuff with infernalist for sure
Hey man, you forgot about the OP node on gemling that double star scaling
just need to run this with CI to have the build really cooking
wouldn't it be pretty solid on chronomancer with recoup? If u invest all in life and reach like 8k life, + maybe block, then with recoup i guess u will take more dmg so heal more?
I though that you will use it with Blackbraid.
Hard to get any meaningful amount of armour going when you get so little from both helm and body armour sadly
Check out kripps build. You can convert your HP into es then scale es + es recharge rate. I wouldn't be surprised if you can get 20k es with 7k recovery
How do you get that little stash to the side of your inventory
Titan ascendancy
Wouldn't this be great for a recoup+slow Chronomancer? (don't ask me about damage, I'm just thinking of defenses lol)
Have tou considered using Doryanis Prototype to mitigate lightning damage with armour?
Not necessarily a meme. If you can get the same 7k health on Infernalist, that is another 300 spirit for a minion build, and nearly 1000 extra flat ES.
How do you sustain your warcry not being a Warbringer?
Why not run double andvarius gold rings?
U should try on t15 so u can see the difference between two resistance and without resistance because at t15 mod hit hard like 5-3k in one hit
I wonder if sorcery ward witchhunter would make this more playable
Use Vaal orb on 3-socket gem and hope for a 4th socket for cheap?
What id you combine this with sorcery ward from the Witch hunter?
About map modifiers: Why GGG thinks 25% ele pen and/or -12% max res are ok mods to keep in the maps? It's litteraly brick mods that you must roll off or delete the map.
isnt that helmet to be used with the body armour that grants : elemental damage is applied to armour ?
932 strength is crazy
Very cheap to stack massive strength when you don't care about resists, every gear piece was no more than 1ex
Man, I'm spoiled with spark and being able to clear fast. Probably not for long tho....
I used veil with the amour Blackbraid fur plate and block on a blood mage and it was actually incredibly tanky
One could live on the edge with 90% dodge and the 50%-chance to not die chest for this here :D If you get killed you are really unlucky
How did you get the extra inventory space?
ascendacy node from titan
crazy helmet 50% inc max life and fixed 80 all res
The idea looks niche but promising, but the build showing is well, dude, that's so bad. Corrupting cry on a titan or anything that's not a warbringer (at the current version) is just a bad idea, the build is a very good mapper because of the stun, seismic cry has built-in 400% more stun buildup, in maps you stun monsters so easy that most of the monsters will do nothing to you before they die.
I think you need to test this idea with totems.
hmmm maybe this set up on a str/life stacking melee blood witch???
what about couture chest? it lets you overflow life but has low armour + eshield
find ways to do chaos conversion then the unique that grants immunity to chaos, dont know if the unique is in game yet, if it is you can convert 80% of all elemental damage to chaos wich your immune to. its not a meme and no unique in poe is truly meme, they all have interactions that work usually with multiple things needed to make them work. but then when they do its amazings.
My first character I paired this with Blackbraid and it worked until the hits started to hit too hard.
Isn't Armour pretty much completely useless on this build?
What is this gameplay I am watching my man :o
could it be vaaled up to 60%? feels like it gets closer and closer to worth using if you stack enough tech & investment
It can yes
Peak seizure gameplay
What about the belt for life recharge? Kripp was using armour to make energy shield recharge maybe that + the belt for life recharge
What's the biggest hit in the game? I just got bonked for 8k by a boss. Full res.
Tetzla is a body piece, not belt
Love that you need a troll item to get HALF of what ES can get pretty easily, not even counting how stupid Grim Feast is. Such a balanced game.
The real question is how much es can you get with this and the 50% max HP to es unique body armor AND grim feast...
@@naudr9569 Same amount, because HP to ES conversion applies to base life value, before it gets increased by % on helmet
convert all that to es, it's apparently how you play warrior. yes i'm tilted.
